Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 36. It’s almost back to a
sense of normality for GW36. We saw ‘almost’ because we do have another Friday deadline this week (and while we’re talking about it, GW37 is the same). It’s Huddersfield’s chance this week to see if they can win the award for conceding the softest ever penalty to Liverpool as they visit Anfield. James Milner for captain anyone?!

We then move into the weekend proper and it’s a lunchtime kick off at Spurs as Poch’s men host their nemesis from the east end.

Four 3pm matches follow as Everton visit Palace, Fulham try and drag Cardiff down with them, we have a battle of the south coast as Saints host Bournemouth and Watford & Wolves get to re-enact their entertaining Cup semi-final.

The evening match sees Duffy & Dunk get another opportunity to taunt owners as they try and stop Newcastle’s modern day duo of Shearer and Ferdinand as Perez & Rondon stroll into town.

Only a few hours rest before our game-week comes to a close with Sunday’s final three matches.

Opening the show is Arsenal’s visit to Leicester before Man City have the chance to reclaim top spot as they go to Burnley.

The comedy is rightly left to the end as the spluttering divas from Man Utd and Chelsea meet at Old Trafford.

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 36 from all at FF247!

Averages looking like 91 (top 10k) and 69 (overall).

    Evening

Messed up this week! Was 6 behind but now 45!

Got 2 weeks left and a TC to use – what should I do? I have 2.3 ITB

My team and my opponent below:

      Rosco says:

Your team looks well set, roll your FT, stick the TC on Kun or Sterling and come back punching!!

      Brookyboy says:

Mitro, some very sound advice given out there mate. There is no point bringing in players that your rival has to try and reduce that defecit. You need 2 differential captain options over the next 2 weeks. The advantage you have is cash in the bank.Personally i would do Son to Hazard and stick the TC on him.Check hazards recent scores at home ! See how the land lies after gw37 then.

      DMC says:

The answer may well be in front of you Mitro: TC Mané and hope Salah blanks. Either that, or the Hazard call if you can buy him for free for Son (I’d actually do this transfer regardless of who you TC).

Will end up with 110, with no chip played. My third 100+ gameweek since gw32.

To bad the season before gw32 was terrible.

    Kralin says:

Don’t know how everyone’s approaching the finishing line, but I’m more inclined to think of GW38 rather than 37 when making transfers – unless of course injuries get in the way.

In the sense that my side seems reasonably well set up for next week (wish I had Sterling, but anyway); see the side below.

Whereas in week 38 I don’t really want 2xBrighton and 3xWolves. So I was thinking more about quietly moving Dunk – or Duffy – for an ultra-cheapo and using the 2FT in 38 to move a couple of the Wolves’ players along.

This rather than fret over Son.

Or do you see something more pressing I should be addressing? OR is fine and the ML is won. Thoughts appreciated.

      AJW says:

Ahah! A privileged look at Kralin’s goods! I shall ponder over this lot on and off, over the next few days, wondering what decisions (and indecision!) helped K to sculpt (or weld?) this team structure! Was he thoroughly cold in his choices, or was there a degree of sentimental subjectivity involved? Ah, such is life….(quote attributed to one Ned Kelly, outlaw and antipodean folk hero!) ;).
Cheerio Kralinho! You’re probably making the right moves!

      All the best, AJW!

      • Kralin says:

Thanks AJW. Pretty cold, otherwise there would be 3xLiverpool. Though TAA – or VVD – could well be coming in for Doherty for 38. Or Firmino, if fit.

Most was based around having as many DGW players as possible.

A lot of what I’ll do is injury dependent, of course.

    • 190.2
      Rosco says:

Exactly the same thinking here, thinking of just moving Llorente to Long to free up some cash and then play with 2 in 38!

      • Kralin says:

Thanks, yes. I have an uncomfortable feeling that if I try to make a positive move for 37 it’ll end up being a negative move. And kicking the problem of 38 down the road. Long was someone I’d been thinking of to enable great things elsewhere, but my front 3 is fine for 37 and two thirds fine for 38.

    • 190.3
      AllanBrallan says:

Here’s my for 37. Will save my ft to move out two wolves or Duffy for 38 and hope that Perez is fit by then…

    • 190.4
      Stone Frog says:

With 3 playing midweek there is potential for something to happen. Otherwise would Duffy to Lindlehof or Shaw work?

      • Kralin says:

        Thanks.

Huge potential, I would imagine, so I can’t move until late on Friday afternoon.

I like the Shaw idea; he’s the only other Man U player I’m seriously considering before 38. Rashford, if fit, maybe for Jiminez in 38.

        • Stone Frog says:

          Or Kompany if fit!

        • Kralin says:

I have considered Wan-Bissaka as well, possibly playing him ahead of Valery.

But I’ll need to calculate what money I’ll need for 38.

Kompany not a bad shout, thanks.

    • 190.5
      inittowinit says:

Kralin, your plan as it is now seems to be the best scenario. Duffy to any defender you can afford / fancy but purely with 38 in mind. Matters not if they are playing Liverpool or City this week, their sole purpose is 38.

      • Kralin says:

        Thanks very much, appreciated.

Will you be joining me in retaining Vardy?

Hopefully you’re causing your league-leader to sweat a bit.

        • inittowinit says:

I would imagine I will keep him now.

And yes just a bit, that gap is down to 19 now. Which seemed implausible a few weeks ago when it was 70 odd. He’s no mug though and has always been a fairly good and consistent player so it’s no gimmee that it’ll happen.

        • Kralin says:

Good luck with that. May well come down to the choice of captain.

I’ll join the contributors’ league next year (if you still want me contributing) so am looking forward to testing my skills against the site writers.

        • inittowinit says:

Of course we want you back! Yes, join up next season. They can’t be that good though as the Site Team itself is winning that one currently! To be fair it’s a keenly contrasted league, it’s also difficult to move ranks in too as you know that even when you score a ton pretty much everyone else has to, quite dissimilar to a ‘normal’ league.

        • Kralin says:

          Thanks.

Yes, I prefer smaller, keenly contested leagues.

        • jamesimmo says:

Not for much longer, init, watch your backs… 😉

        • inittowinit says:

Overtake us James and we’ll just kick you out! 😉 There were over 700 people in that when we began, they just keep mysteriously disappearing laugh

    Zed Leppelin says:

127pts this week smile Now only 20K off my target which is to avoid this season being my worst ever in terms of OR… Think I can do it in two GWs, e.g. I am inevitable!

    • 192.1
      hammerfan_lm says:

      Nice one Zed.
I only managed 105pts this week. A season best for me.

    • 192.2
      Kralin says:

Before I took the game seriously I had ranks in the one millions. In fact my first ever season, where I joined very late, I was ranked 2 million odd.

Hopefully your worst isn’t as bad as that.

Not sure where you are but hopefully not too big a swing will see you knock those places off.

      Great score.

      • Zed Leppelin says:

My worst ever season was last season 140K (or so) and now I’m 160K (or so)… My first season I was 2.5m or something like that because I joined in March I think, but I ain’t taking that into account, why would you as you’ve only played 20-30% of the season…

        • Kralin says:

I had some dim memory of you being a lot more consistent than me, and if 140k is your worst then that’s very good indeed.

        • Zed Leppelin says:

Here’s my season history, the first one being the season I started in March… I’m on a rather worrying downward spiral though, the last two being the worst, I hope it’s not a kind of consistency that continues in such a downward trend… smile

        • Kralin says:

          Great stuff Zed.
