Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37. Both the title itself and the final relegation spot could be decided this week, depending on the results. Conversely we could very well be saying the exact same thing next week. The difference being that if not this week then next week they definitely will be.
We begin with the televised game that we’ve all been waiting for all season. Cancel your plans and settle down as Burnley, who have nothing to play for go to Everton, who have nothing to play for. This is not quite what Friday night games were invented for!
To be fair to the TV companies every other live game this weekend does actually have something riding on it beginning with Spurs trying to guarantee themselves a CL spot as they visit Bournemouth in the early Saturday game. There are then just two 3pm games as West Ham host Southampton in a dead rubber and Wolves go for 7th against a resurgent Fulham.
Cardiff then stare relegation in the face at 5.30pm as Palace pay them a visit before the first part of the title saga gets underway at 7.45pm as Liverpool go to Newcastle.
Sunday sees us with three games as both Chelsea vs Watford and Huddersfield vs Man United begin at 2pm in a battle to see who wants CL qualification the least. Arsenal will chip in with their own bid later at 4.30pm as they host Brighton.
Man City will then see us out on Monday by either bidding to stay in the title race or indeed winning it, depending on Liverpool’s result on Saturday. Leicester will be the team looking to scupper either ambition.
The games in full…

Money talks…
Strength in depth of the squad is the difference between first and second.
Leicester’s best player from a couple of seasons ago can’t even command a regular place in the City team…..
City could almost put together two teams that could win pl…
Yes i am bitter right now…
The thing that staggers me is the gap between 2nd and 3rd.
Unlike the Benitez and Rodgers title challenges I don’t think this will be Klopp’s last or best shot at it. I can’t really think of what more he and Liverpool could have done, really. That series of draws did for us, alas.
Amazing season really… still very disapointing… 13/14 all over again…
I think we’ve been massively better than 13/14. That had a real one-off, inspired by Suarez, feel about it.
Having said all that, I think nerves could well have crept in this time had it still been in our hands.
You’ve just got to hope this is the start rather than end of things. With the exception of Spurs, none of the rest of the top 6 look in particularly good shape at the moment. The key is clinging onto City and hoping they slip(sic) somewhere down the line.
It’s the start of things for sure! Cheers mate!
Were always going to be outsiders when you’re depending on the other team to mess up,
Hard to accept, but LFC were 10 points ahead of City at the end of December and they let that lead slip away,
Yes, but you win leagues after Christmas rather than before – as City have very ably shown.
That rubbishy run of draws did for Liverpool.
Anyhow, nothing to be ashamed of.
I’d be inclined to give the Wolves’ dude the manager of the season award.
Ah, well. That is that, I think. It’s to Liverpool’s credit that they’ve kept things going until the final week. But City won’t mess it up against Brighton.
Nah, it will be a party once they’ve wrapped it up at half-time….
Yes, would have thought so as Brighton are safe. And I think Wolves have secured 7th, so hopefully they’ll get into the chilled out vibe too.
Unless they go into it thinking “Liverpool at Anfield – now there’s a huge scalp that would bring an already successful season to an amazing finale!”
Just saying……
The tension would be worse had City bodged it tonight.
Wolves won’t be an easy game and Liverpool have some key men down at the moment.
Would actually rather have arsenal, Chelsea or ManU in the final round than wolves…
Yes, and I can see Jimenez and Jota fancying their chances, especially against a depleted side.
Insane goal by Kompany
It’s won them the title…
Wow just dropped from 1st to 3rd in my ML. This is how it should stand going in to 38…
1st: +5
2nd: +3
3rd: me
Big transfer and captain decision coming up!
Hope you’re all ready to help 😉
Sounds doable and we’ll all be here to help!
Ah well that’s the ML as good as gone! 15 points in it which is just too much! Happy with second though and I’ll play for OR and hopefully beat last seasons! Exciting that the league goes to the final week! May the best team win!! All in all it’s not such a bad end to the season!
Same here my friend – LaPorte’s performance tonight has stuffed me.
It’s actually fine, I was 6th a few weeks back and I’ll still get a decent bit cash for second spot. First time I’ve played in a cash league and man it’s competitive!!
Yep, top of our league is now in top 3k overall.
You could get pretty close with a bit of captain luck surely?
Could do but we have very similar teams now so seems a stretch! I’m not giving up, just made peace with it!! Means I can just enjoy the final week!!
15 points is nothing
I like your confidence!! I will need to use my 2 FT wisely and pick the right captain and hope he doesn’t!! Haha
I like your positivity Smash – I’ve got to make up 16 points to scoop 3rd place.
I’m thinking the right transfer and captaincy choice might just do it…..
’15 Points is nothing’ is fantasy football’s 2+2 = 5.
Great gnomic stuff to end the season.
I’d be still having a pop at that Roscoe, whats your rivals team look like ?
Well, it should be an interesting last game week! (Classic understatement here!). . Cheerio all – now let’s lick our wounds (and not other things that cats are wont to do!). Hahahaha! Bye !
