Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 37. Both the title itself and the final relegation spot could be decided this week, depending on the results. Conversely we could very well be saying the exact same thing next week. The difference being that if not this week then next week they definitely will be.

We begin with the televised game that we’ve all been waiting for all season. Cancel your plans and settle down as Burnley, who have nothing to play for go to Everton, who have nothing to play for. This is not quite what Friday night games were invented for!

To be fair to the TV companies every other live game this weekend does actually have something riding on it beginning with Spurs trying to guarantee themselves a CL spot as they visit Bournemouth in the early Saturday game. There are then just two 3pm games as West Ham host Southampton in a dead rubber and Wolves go for 7th against a resurgent Fulham.

Cardiff then stare relegation in the face at 5.30pm as Palace pay them a visit before the first part of the title saga gets underway at 7.45pm as Liverpool go to Newcastle.

Sunday sees us with three games as both Chelsea vs Watford and Huddersfield vs Man United begin at 2pm in a battle to see who wants CL qualification the least. Arsenal will chip in with their own bid later at 4.30pm as they host Brighton.

Man City will then see us out on Monday by either bidding to stay in the title race or indeed winning it, depending on Liverpool’s result on Saturday. Leicester will be the team looking to scupper either ambition.

The games in full…

It was a game week for defenders.
TAA Laporte and Doherty scored a total of 34 points.
Congrats to anyone who played all three.

CAR have only scored 11 away goals all season and let in 31… thinking of taking a last chance on Pogba. Am I nuts?

      Kralin says:

On paper and in theory he’s a very sound choice.

However keeping him in my side has not been the wisest move I’ve ever made. More bloody-minded, to be honest.

To say Man U have gone off the boil is a massive understatement. If Cardiff had had to win there this weekend I think they’d have felt confident.

      • bees393 says:

I know…they are in a dreadful state. Not sure what to do with my team. Son for who would you say Kralin? Or any other advice I would appreciate.

        • bees393 says:

          Zero in bank

        • Kralin says:

I’d be looking at Pog, W-P / Redmond, Milivojevic maybe.

        • bees393 says:

Thanks Kralin. Will sit with it all a bit. How has your season gone? What are your moves this week?

        • Kralin says:

My season was chugging along nicely but I’ve chosen a very bad week to fall behind the average and have slipped back. Still in the top 10k but suspect I may not beat my highest ever finish.

Haven’t decided re Son yet. To protect my rank I must get Laporte in. I somehow got away with not owning Sterling again. I was half thinking of Redmond, but I have W-P already and it may not be the wisest of moves to treble on Southampton.

        • bees393 says:

Haha…I too have gotten away well without Sterling. Thanks heaven!
Sounds like to are doing ok.
Cruzcampo down below recommend Zaha cat and Wilson vc…I quite like that.
Do you think Company will start the next match? A 2nd MC def would not be a bad thing.

      Smash says:

I’m looking at him and even Mata potentially

      Brookyboy says:

Going by his and Uniteds performance on Sunday i’d give him a wide berth ! Can see a few youngsters getting a game on Sunday.

    Kruzcampo says:

I have a feeling that Palace v Bournemouth is going to be a goalfest with nothing to play for yet a crowd to entertain. Capo Zaha and Vice Wilson!!

City victory and consequent depletion of my chances in the ML has left me feeling abit like this..

    Kruzcampo says:

Next seasons defenders for me will be Robbo,TAA.Laporte ,Doherty and Pereira or Obi-Wan, depending where he ends up. Mids Maddison. Jota Salah,Mane & Hazard if he stays. Forwards
Jiminez and 2 other premiums, depending who comes and goes! Hope the budget stretches that far!
Now onto the MLS fantasy where it’s wildcard every week, and double game weeks every 3 weeks,or so it seems. Different, but fun,

Is Kompany likely to start next week?

      Kralin says:

He’s started their last three so fingers crossed.

      • bees393 says:

He is a good option as I only have 2 MC players and a CS is a strong possibility. Will wait till as late as possible to see if he is ok.
