Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38. So here we are, at the final fence and whether you’re leading out front, chasing in the pack or fell a while ago, its a day to enjoy. For it brings a Sunday afternoon deadline, all matches start at the same time and anything can and generally does happen in GW38.
There is still the matter of the top spot to sort out – a win for City at Brighton will confirm another title for Pep, while Liverpool will need to beat Wolves and hope for a miracle from Duffy, Dunk et al.
Spurs need a point at home to Everton to guarantee their CL spot – only a big loss and a commanding win for Arsenal would see a reversal of fortunes for the North London pair.
Chelsea may have one eye on the Europa Final as they travel to Leicester while Watford will surely be fully focused on next weekend’s FA Cup as they host the Hammers.
The relegated teams of Fulham, Cardiff and Huddersfield will hope for one last hurrah as they take on Newcastle, Man Utd and Southampton respectively, while many a FPL manager will be hoping for a goal fest as Palace host Bournemouth.

Dear all – it has been my first time on this site this season and have been thoroughly impressed by the community spirit and willingness to help out when in a pickle. As a result of following a lot of comments, advice and the articles, I managed to finish with an OR of 4,379; my highest ever finish in FPL and as a result, won a number of the ML’s I was in.
I hope that everyone else had an amazing season. I hope that the PL will be as competitive next season and good luck to those teams that get promoted. Well done of course to Man City for being only the 6th team in the history of the top flight (post-war era) to win back-to-back titles. Liverpool made it a very close fight.
A huge pat on the back to all of the writers that did a phenomenal job in their articles, write ups and comments. Please keep it up

I would like to thank each and every single one of the FF247 community members for always providing us with superb articles week in week out. Thanks to all for your valuable advise throughout the year.
Finished this year at 50k which was not that very impressive but i’ll take it and vow to improve next season. This season I didn’t dedicate myself to fpl as much as I would have wanted due to temporarily moving over to USA and working long shifts. Missed the deadline twice and I can definitely recall GW10 when I had planned on buying Mané but somehow forgot the deadline and missed out on 15 x 2 points. I would have been 30 points higher in the rankings but I only have myself to blame for. This goes to show that fpl is a season long game and that you must maintain focus every single week.
Anyways guys, i’m not finding excuses but only pinpointing where it actually went wrong. I’ll take it on the chin and hope to be more active in the site and hopefully do better than this season. Cheers guys. FF247 for life!
Evening team! What a rollercoaster again this year.
I had a little drinking session in celebration yesterday having been at our match and although I watched Liverpool/City splitscreen and followed the scores on my phone, I left FPL on its own.
Logged in last night and I had 81 points. Decent I thought and (DMC if you are there…..) I eventually cracked the 100k!
I end 2018/19 with an OR of 83,326.
I had my local league sewn up a while ago but to my astonishment I clinched my other ML of interest on the final day, retaining it, and therefore won a lovely bottle of wine! Better than cash to me. I wad about 100 behind at one stage. Let this be a lesson to anyone. DON’T GIVE ANYTHING UP.

GP – that’s brilliant my friend! Never doubted it for a second but to enter it in that fashion is indeed spectacular. This year’s chip combo will go as one of the years in where it actually worked for those preparing for it. It didn’t reach the +150 heights of a few years back but it sure made many galope through those rankings. Well done to you and a lesson to take from this for sure for anyone with a tendency to “give up” early. It ain’t over untill the fat-and-full-of-chips lady sings!!

I have no regrets on how I played my chips so, barring a disaster and assuming the chips are the same, I’ll do the same again next season.

A friend of mine has two tickets for the 2019 Champions league final. They are box seats plus airfares and hotel accommodations. He didn’t realize when he bought them that this is the same day as his wedding – so he can’t go.
If you’re interested and want to go instead of him, it’s at St. Pauls Church in west derby liverpool at 5 PM. Her name is Emma. She will be the one in the white dress!

So my only regret of the season was thinking Robertson was high at the start of the season at 6m.

I can see the first couple of weeks being (fruitlessly) spent trying to talk people out of 5/3/2 formations.
I’d expect Joe Gomez to be back as first choice partner for VVD next season, which sadly to say I’m already planning for
I tried the cheap choice this season. It’s all about the locked in players in my book
I started with Robbo, Mendy, Peltier, W-B and Tomkins (who naturally I played ahead of W-B).
I wept when I wildcarded W-B out of the side. I wept even more when his replacement, Duffy, performed so poorly.
They will both be atleast 6,5 next season, maybe even 7,0….
If they score 80% of this year’s points about 160 7 mil is well worth it
