THANK YOU

Hi, Init here. Or Adam, whichever you prefer. I don’t often break cover from the ‘FF247’ facade but there’s a good reason to right now. Which is simply to say thanks to you all.

Thanks for following, thanks for reading, thanks for commenting. Thanks for being involved.

It’s been a long and difficult season, for a number of (bleedingly obvious) reasons.

From an editorial POV it’s been an absolute nightmare. We usually post about 5 or 6 articles a week but given the ‘new’ TV schedules the GW’s have been running into each other with alarming regularity. The fixture schedule itself has been altered so many times it almost became a joke to even attempt to follow it.

As such we have done the best we could. Which is to react to every GW announcement and post an article or two accordingly.

From a personal POV I still felt like we were letting people down (and I hate that), by not providing a regularly consistent flow of articles.

On reflection, we simply did what we could.

Regardless, any time I looked at the comments it was nothing but consistent and supportive.

Which leads me back to the title; THANK YOU.

Brilliant community, brilliant ‘family’.

As for GW38….

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 38 from all at FF247!

Thanks for reading Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38.

  1. Thanks for all the advice and the company everyone. Also for the wonderfully helpful articles.
Ended 39K 58 pts. Preferred what it was 2 weeks ago but still happy.
Hope to see you around for Fantasy Euros!

  2. So the winner of Fpl jumped from 3rd to 1st after bringing in Mane and captaining him ! Well done to anyone that did that move, especially if you put the armband on him !!

  3. Thanks for all the advise and help I have received from all of you. Had a good season, now time for the Euros.

  4. My worse season since 2012/2013 and potentially 2011/2012. diablo

    • It’s been a funny season Dreamers.Best not to dwell on it,try and learn from mistakes and go again next season !!

    • The positive aspect is that now you do not need to take pressure of doing well every season. smile

    • I have been playing since 2005/2006 and have my worse rank ever this year. However I think the game gets tougher every year and indeed getting a worse rank does take the pressure off for next year. smile

      • I did nothing really that different from previous seasons – other than maybe being over-reliant for a period on cheap midfielders – and yet was never really at the races. I wanted to finish higher than last season but fell back pretty badly towards the end. May just target a top 100k finish next season – chill out a bit.

    • @dreamers
Mine too. It was a very difficult season.
It looks like you have won the FF247 Premier League H2H. So you haven’t done that badly

  5. I made so many mistakes this year, too many hits, dumb coaching errors, but ended up in the mid 300k range, sso I am not unhappy. The waste that I laid on my own season was horrendous, but minimal damage in the end. Reassured me and I will be back next season determined not to be so rash and to trust my own judgment. End of Mea Culpa. Going off to reflect on a hillside ( Like that Beatles song! smile.)
Bye for now and thanks to everyone. You’re a fabulous bunch! smile

  6. Well, somehow I think I finished round about 175k (way behind my usual season)….my target was 10k. But that Gw1, Salah mistake kind of made me chase althrough out…from 5m OR to 175k was a decent journey. But my quest for 10k shifted to next season now.

Good news is that, my wife as usual left her team to me in 2/3rd of the season (at 100k’ish rank) and I managed to take that team to 9k finish – the first sub 10k finish in the family. This was more important than my rank…….otherwise all married men here, you can guess shock !… smile
