THANK YOU

Hi, Init here. Or Adam, whichever you prefer. I don’t often break cover from the ‘FF247’ facade but there’s a good reason to right now. Which is simply to say thanks to you all.

Thanks for following, thanks for reading, thanks for commenting. Thanks for being involved.

It’s been a long and difficult season, for a number of (bleedingly obvious) reasons.

From an editorial POV it’s been an absolute nightmare. We usually post about 5 or 6 articles a week but given the ‘new’ TV schedules the GW’s have been running into each other with alarming regularity. The fixture schedule itself has been altered so many times it almost became a joke to even attempt to follow it.

As such we have done the best we could. Which is to react to every GW announcement and post an article or two accordingly.

From a personal POV I still felt like we were letting people down (and I hate that), by not providing a regularly consistent flow of articles.

On reflection, we simply did what we could.

Regardless, any time I looked at the comments it was nothing but consistent and supportive.

Which leads me back to the title; THANK YOU.

Brilliant community, brilliant ‘family’.

As for GW38….

The games in full…

Keep track of all the action, the goals, the talking points, right here at FF247 Live Match Chat, an interactive chat which encourages you to keep involved and share your thoughts and emotions as the matches take place.

Good luck to absolutely everyone for Gameweek 38 from all at FF247!

Thanks for reading Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 38.

Thanks all for the excellent, advise and support through this interesting season! Without you all I wouldn’t be anywhere near as good at this without your help!

I wonder, what’s a good score this week? Feels like a lot of low ownership points this week

I took 80 points hit this season. Out of that Gw31-38, I took 32 points hit in deliberate attempt to go up…….end result Gw30 (267k) and Gw38 (175k). These last phase of Hits do not look like helped much.

Thanks for all the help and the advice this season. Slightly disappointing finish for me with a red arrow from 14k to 18k. Still please with my OR with it being only my 4th season of FPL. First season 345k then I found you guys! Have a good break everyone enjoy the Euros and come on England!!!

45 points this gw and 2275 in total. Not a complete disaster but no great either.

Thanks ff247 for all the great articles. This is the best fantasy site for sure. And thanks all of you in the comment section. See you soon!

Have ended up on a rather Satanic score of 66,630, which made me chuckle. Highest ever points’ score but lowest OR for a bit. Not through any lack of trying, either. Oh well. Mustn’t grumble.

Well done those who got what they were after.

You’ve shared your team! I guess some things do change. I see your satanic profiling and I raise you with symmetrical perfection: 2552 overall points.

I had to come and find you in ff247 as I’m not sure if I will be playing next season and this has been the first season I properly finished and had my best OR yet. There is a certain beauty in this game, the banter, the communities, the statistical variance. Sometimes, when we lose ourselves in fear and despair, in routine and constancy, in hopelessness and tragedy, we can thank the football gods for silverware. And, fortunately, when there isn’t any silverware, we can still find reassurance in a perfect captain choice, or a 3.9m defender autosubbing with a clean sheet and 2 bonus points (I’m looking at you Struijk), or subtle encouragement from the community you are in, or an offer of comfort, not to mention free hits and triple gameweeks(!), and maybe the occasional piece of a deadline blunt. And we must remember that all these things, the nuances, the anomalies, the subtleties, which we assume only accessorize our days, are effective for a much larger and nobler cause.

Thanks for being one of my sources of inspiration, Kralin.

Very nice to hear from you, zwischenzug. What an exceedingly pleasant surprise.

But I can understand your wanting to call it a day. I suppose you may have stood back to admire your handiwork, feeling assuaged, triumphant even – but also a little bereft, too, knowing your work was done and done for good.

Congratulations on such a terrific total.
