Yep, it’s finally time for GW30 PLUS. And not GW39 as some of us suspected it may be. Looks like Scudamore may never get his wish!
As alluded to in our Fixtures Analysis article for GW30+ there looks like scant chance to do many articles, if indeed any, between each of these GW’s. As such we will not do a fresh Live Match Chat for each week, we shall simply update this one as we go along with the latest deadlines and fixtures. We shall endeavour to post the line-ups prior to each phase of the relevant GW and our usual FPL Countdown Timer (to be found above the latest comments section) will once again be active.

FF247 SITE TEAM GW30+
This is where LMC will take a slight twist. Given said lack of opportunity to post any full or meaningful articles it is our intention to simply post our weekly transfer and Captain choice on here prior to each deadline. As a result this article will be posted way in advance of when it usually is, probably not long after any given GW ends.
GW30+ TRANSFER
We have SOLD lots of people and BOUGHT an equal amount to replace them. We are pretty sure that’s how it works, if we remember correctly. Hold on though, we did not use the unlimited transfers opportunity that fpl gave to us as some would think, we went for the free hit instead. Why you may ask? In short, because we like our team and if not for a DGW we would want to keep it. So we decided to go for the option that allows to play this double confidently (sort of) and gets us back to our original team for the weeks ahead.
That sounded somewhat straightforward, yet as always when deliberating over the make up of the squad we had some for using the unlimited transfers instead and we even had one idiot suggesting transfers based on a bench boost that we had decided we were not going to play. Good thing we didn’t go with the site team Zoom meeting call where members could have watched, that would have been a bit embarrassing for some on our committee.
In the end. we had a core we sort of wanted to work in and before you wonder why we didn’t include certain players, just know that the site team’s budget is not great, so we were limited in what we could do compared to some other teams you will see out there. So back to that core I mentioned, City three, Grealish, Auba and a Sheffield party at the back. Sure we gave Mahrez a run for a day and Laca was in there also, but in the end we were not confident in their minutes, not that we are overly optimistic on anyone’s minutes for this GW, but at least history tells us there are more reliable options out there, so we ditched them. Sterling was the player we really wanted that was not in the squad before we posted this article so we made a few changes here and there, dropped Alonso and had to include Saka in the XI, but for the most part we were all happy enough with the side to roll with it.
GW30+ CAPTAIN
Our Captain for GW30+ will be Sergio Aguero. We all know what he is capable of and he won the vote easily with 4 votes. We are sure Kun will not be trotted out for the amount of minutes we would all love, but assuming he doesn’t pull a hammy or something, it should hopefully be enough to get us something decent. Raheem had one vote from that same guy looking to improve the bench for a bench boost that is not going to be played. So while he might not be wrong on Sterling, this committee member can’t be trusted right now.
Our Vice-Captain will be Grealish. KdB won the vote for VC, but one of our members basically overruled everyone and made Grealish vc as he did not want a player from the same squad as Kun just in case there was a cancellation. Guess the only surprising thing about the whole matter is that Init wasn’t the one doing the overruling.

Like the Foden/NKetia/defender rotation given the fixtures, could work well.
Who do you give up to make up the money IF you wanted Kun in future though?
I need to look at defenders to see how they rotate. Foden and Nketiah May work I’m not sure. I do have a plan for that. Aguero and Abraham in for Auba and Jimenez when fixtures turn a bit.
Thought Foden looked good last night, plus i suspect he will get increased game time as the season goes on (will champions league freshness be in peps mind towards the end of the season?).
Nketia looks like he might have made the spot up top his, if last nights line up and the last few games prelockdown are anything to go by.
Yeah double up might be ok. It’s a bit risky though but would allow Son or a big hitter up top.
@Smash Absolutely Love the midfield but defence looks a bit weak.
Not sure if Robinson is nailed upgrade him to wolves and a Man U defender could be good too.
I thought PEA didn’t look good last night and if I were you I would downgrade PEA to someone like DCL or Rashford and upgrade your defence.
I was really impressed by City’s defence/possession and that Ederson didn’t have to make a single save.
I know many don’t like getting a premium goalie but Ederson could offer you a steady stream of points..
Nah with Auba I’m more looking at easy route to Aguero. Hence having one big hitter, need to think on it. I can downgrade Foden to Cantwell and get Saiss for Kiko. But yeah could go without a big hitter up top

Morning all, hope your restart teams are going well. Somehow sitting on 67 points myself, even with (C) Kun’s 7 minute cameo. Question for anyone in the know, are price rises fully active again now and likely we will start to see rises happening from tonight onwards?
@SpecialK, have been reading a little on twitter about this and the accounts that focus on that are preaching patience while they get a hold of the new thresholds.

Good player that. CFC taking another step to contending again, but a still a little short in my opinion. LFC and City are just so good!

Yeah I think we are still short. Koulibally and Havertz/Sancho would make Chelsea contenders
Those who have big price tags on them. Not sure if the Napoli owner is to be believed on the price for Koulibaly, but we know Kai and Jadon will cost a lot.
Madrid seems to have interest in the latter two, maybe more Kai than Sancho because of possible price, so that could drive up the price tag for Kai. There are a lot rumours floating around Havertz wanting to go to Madrid badly, not sure how true those are.
To be honest I like all 3, but we don’t need a CB. Sancho is too expensive, unless Hakimi is sent their way and the price gets significantly lowered. Kai is good, but I feel like we got some kids in the club that deserve a chance to claim a starting spot before we bring in another attacking player. I prefer we buy Camavinga and recall Hakimi and Odegaard for next season and we good. Hopefully sell about 4-5 players.
Sancho is a game changer for any club though, so I might not like the price, but it be hard to turn an opportunity to have him, guess it would mean no Mbappe in a year and I guess that’s the reason I am lukewarm on Jadon.
Yeah from what I’ve seen of Hakimi you don’t want to be letting him go. You probably need more a midfielder. Chelsea need some creativity and goals in their side. That always costs a lot of money

Looks like Jimenez though granted neither have played yet. I see Wolves going back to 3-4-3 with Traore fit again and Jota is better in a front two. Doherty I’ve noticed is a lot better when Traore don’t play as well
That’s true, Traore fills the space down the right flank so Doherty doesn’t have the same space with Traore, not saying he can’t do well with Traore though…
