Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4
After two bumper game-weeks, perhaps GW3 was merely a reality check. It matters not though as GW4 is upon us already, with fresh promise. It’s quite the condensed affair too, beginning on Saturday and ending on Sunday. Almost old school. Almost.
It begins with Leicester hosting Liverpool in the early game, giving many a Salah captainer a weekend long headache should he fail to produce. Five 3pm games follow in quick succession. Brighton will attempt to keep the Mitro show at bay. Bournemouth will hope to somehow halt Alonso’s inevitable march in to everybody’s fantasy team once again. Zaha will be looking to put one more nail in Hughes’ coffin. Wally will attempt to make amends for Richarlison’s stupidity. And Arnie will make a last ditch attempt to stop Pellegrini being fed to the Wolves.
The evening game should pique some interest as Man City play host to Ashley’s mercenaries. A classic case of an evening captain over an early one once again, in reverse? Perhaps!
Sunday sees us out with three away games for Arsenal, Man United and Spurs, going to Cardiff, Burnley and Watford respectively.

The League Codes for FF247 for the 2018/19 season are as follows –
54 points and again 15 sitting on the bench from Boly and Patricio 🙁
Whenever I use the WC the bench will be full of scrubs only who never play. I am sick and tired seeing tons of points wasted every week.
What a pain in the behind. Still 54 points is not bad this week. (I have the same).
A question…I want to make a couple of transfers to bring in Haz and Alonso. I am concerned about prices going up…ok to make it now? Or wait till closer to the next game?
Is this weeks lack of games due to African Cup of Nations?
All the best ItT.
Sit on your hands until after the IB. Link your team as well as makes it easier to offer advice.
Still 54 points isnt a bad gw this week. I got 38, that was a bit of a bump! The only difference you could have made was play boly over ings but that would have given you the exact same returns. Pobs not a problem imo. Maybe look at changing one of your
gks as I dont think they rotate very well.
Hi all. Had a crappy week with 48 and need some adjustments. I’d like Alonso and Hazard in my team asap. I have two Fts and 0.1 itb. I’d love your thoughts please.
David Luiz and Firmino would be my route in. I wouldn’t do it right away though, as an injury to anyone else I your side would change my answer!
I should have clarified; I don’t think you need Hazard too.
That doesn’t really help him! (Ah ok, you’re just being ironic about the word ‘help’ perhaps?!) 😉
Neilos who’s leaving (in theory) for those two aspirations?
It should. I wouldn’t get three Chelsea, and dropping Firmino is how I’d get Alonso. Bore off :pissoffInit: Still not got that one?
Hey Guys thanks for the feedback.
Init its the worry of losing Salah i guess and freeing up funds. To be honest at a bit of a loss.
What do you think?
One of the main things to consider about losing Salah is you probably won’t be able to get him back easily.
AT made the very good point that Pedro (and Alonso) may be enough, if you’re worried about Salah going. Maybe just focus on getting Alonso?
Apologies AT, hadn’t seen your amendment prior to posting. And didn’t factor in your complete lack of a sense of humour either.
Salah to Haz and D. Luiz to Alonso.
I think Pedro will do fine. The guy is on fire, last season 4 goals in 31 games, in this 3 goals in 4 games so far.I doubt Sarri will ignore this fact.
Crappy week on 48? You should see what I got. I’ve never minded the bad weeks though. It’s all salutary. Good for keeping hubris in check.
The moves you want can only be achieved, with two FT and the scant money you have stashed away, by ditching Salah. As far as I can see. You’d have got away with that this week. Chelsea have Cardiff at home in GW5, Liverpool Spurs away, then Salah may get a breather in GW6. I think a few managers will do that move this IB.
How about Firmino and Wan B to Alonso and Mitrovic?
Fine but bear in mind Mitrovic’s next opponents. But for the long term haul, why not.
Would look like this. Thoughts people? Prices are changing soon so would need to pull the trigger. I assume Zaha should be fine so will hold him.
Just seen that Zaha could be out for 2-3 weeks. I may have to hold now
Why are there no games next week? African Cup of Nations?
Bees! I’ve already answered that. Have you lost your glasses?
Cheers for the earlier comments (Init, Eresh and Rockerfeller)
Just wanna double check before I start hitting the buttons….if I take a load of hits over the next week or 2, they will all be cancelled as long as I press the WC before the next transfer deadline yeah?
And if anyone has any advice on Bettinelli or best 2 £4.5 keepers be much appreciated!
If wildcarding I think I’d be looking at Patricio, Ryan, Foster; Begovic maybe. I’m not sure if there’s one (or two) real stand outs.
Yes they will all be cancelled out by a WC. The hits.
Cheers both
So Zaha is being reported as being out for 4 weeks with a groin injury !

I’ll raise you…
Don’t trust 90min at all, tbh. Read the article and not sure where they got the four weeks from. Roy certainly didn’t say it.
agree with AT here. never liked 90 mins as I find their grammar quite horrible in their articles.
The grammar in the tweet makes you wonder if they are in some way related. I think they missed a word also.
Still happy to join your league at some point eresh btw 😉
sure innit :’)
That is correct regarding the wildcard.
Personally I liked the pairing of Patricio and Lossl but that incorporated the past 4 gws so may be a better pairing now. Lossl has some tough fixtures up to gw 10 which Patricio will help with navigation through that at which point Lossls fixtures ease up.
