Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4
Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 4. No Friday fixture this time, but a big slate of games on Saturday to get the GW going. In all there is 8 fixtures and kicking it off with a lunch time affair is Southampton hosting the crap again Manchester United.
That early game is followed by six 3pm games. We have Lampard’s boys taking on Lundstram’s crew, along with that we also see Palace vs Villa and Newcastle vs Watford. Simultaneously we also get Leicester hosting Bournemouth, Man City taking apart Brighton and West Ham versus Norwich in the battle of the cheap strikers. The day is then closed out by Burnley vs Liverpool which should see 21 players inside the Clarets’ penalty area most of the game.
Sunday brings us the remaining two fixtures. The early game sees Everton play host to Wolves, should be an interesting game between one team who doesn’t know how to attack versus a team who is too tired to attack. The late game has the best game on paper of the game-week. Arsenal (just lost to LFC) takes on Spurs (just lost at home to Toon) in what should help us to start to figure out which team will finish 20 points behind second place in 3rd and which team will finish 25 points behind second place in 4th.

WC activated and this is where I’m sitting. Trying to jump on every riser now and raise my TV, so I’ve done Salah -> Mount today. He will definitely be back in the side before the deadline. The question is how to fit Kane back in… :wacko:

Whenever I’ve played WCs in international breaks, giving two weeks of trading to increase TV, I’ve found that players’ prices don’t change for ages, despite algorithms on (for example) FFFix saying that the price change is overdue. Sometimes you end up with the prices static at the end of the two-week period. I know maybe a lot of FF managers may switch off their transfer activity for a few days during the IB, but I’m not sure that’s the only reason for the slow movement in player prices – especially if there are lots of people trying to trade up. It can be a frustrating wait for a player to increase price by 0.2 (in order to get a +0.1 benefit when selling). Good luck with the strategy, though. I WC’d last week…

Obviously you’re missing a premium striker but you couldn’t have that midfield if you brought one in
Almost exactly the same as the WC I played last week, except I have TAA and Haller instead of VVD and Abraham. So a very good team I think / hope.
One thing I considered was Cantwell and Soy to fodder and Mings to Zinch/Otamendi, but it leaves the bench very light and I didn’t want to risk it.
Just want to forget this blunder of a GW ASAP. Not sure what is to be done. Not really concerned about the team value right now, but obvious missing of KDB is there. So, what should I do guys? Should I Wildcard?
Your team is actually good to go. Getting KDB in is tough, but that does not mean that you cannot do well with out him.
Your WC is very precious. Hang in there until you really need it. This week will surely be much better than the last one.
I too have 6 changes that I really want to make, but since it is not absolutely necessary I will hang it there and be really happy later that I did so. I may whoever break the rule book and bring in ATT for Robertson for a 4ph. Am so fed up of so little reward from him. Will wait and see.
Your team doesn’t need a WC
If you wanted to downgrade Kane you could bring KDB in perhaps.

Cheers guys. Need KDB, TAA, replacement for Laporte,Rico and may be Kane out from the team. These are the only considerations for now. Might just do Laporte to Lundstram and wait on Kane against CP? He’s on penalties obviously and rarely misses those. Auba looks very attaractive at the same price though.
Regarding Robbo, I think it’s very frustrating that TAA is getting all the assists and BPS. But, I think the day is not far away when we’d see a goal+CS and the score would be close to a tally.
IMO, your team is great for next GW, you just need to deal with Laporte’s injury this week, and hope for no unpleasant surprises during the international break.
Then you can hit two birds with one stone and get yourself KDB and get rid of Kane, if this is still what you want to do.
Anyone know if Ndombele is likely to start against CRY? I have no idea who plays anymore regarding Spurs.
If he’s fit he plays I think. Still injured though?

Can’t see much wrong with that set-up, Lazza. Plenty of people would be happy with that. No desire for Liverpool attackers? Do you have any cash in the bank?
If you have Ederson, are you ever likely to play Pope? You might like to trade down and get a little bit of cash to spend elsewhere.

To be fair Gear. once he has Lundstam back on the bench it’s a cheapish bench, All i would be doing is making one of goalies a 4.0mil then just wait later to spend the extra elsewhere! :good:
Looks good, just don’t rush with the transfers during the International break because there are usually quite a lot of injuries during that period. AWB is the first victim, Idk how serious it is, but there was a report of a back injury. So keep an eye of this and you’ll be fine.
Thanks guys, where can you see the squads and team lists for these international fixtures or do the only get released on game day? Also as I’m new what is the most realisable source to keep up to date with injuries and news on these fixtures?

Not really, Ryan has decent fixtures in the next two! I would just sit tight for now, and see whether Martial is back after the break. Would ideally want to upgrade either Kelly or Smith…
+1. I would focus on getting some more nailed starting players. Rotation will kick in more once the champions league starts.
Maybe Greenwood -> Jordan Ayew?
