Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 5. We can but hope that this article doesn’t come as a surprise to you on a Friday evening and that you aren’t currently sat there thinking “either they’ve made a big mistake, or I’ve made an even bigger one!”. Well, we haven’t, and we are really sorry if you did!

The game-week begins with yet another uninspiring televised clash, as Bournemouth host Brighton on Friday night. Not one that many people will be hurriedly cancelling Friday night plans for then. If you do feel so compelled though you can always rearrange those plans for about 12:30pm on Saturday to coincide with the next woeful TV offering – Crystal palace vs Southampton. Seriously, we pay good money for this stuff. Add those to last week’s run of Burnley vs Palace / Swansea vs Newcastle / West Ham vs Huddersfield, and with the greatest of respect to the teams involved there can anyone ever recall a worse run of 5 televised games?!

Deep breaths.

Onto Saturday’s 3pm fare then, and we have five games, many of which will hold a fantasy football interest –

Huddersfield will hope to improve on their poor showing on Monday night as they host Leicester.

Liverpool, sans Mane, have a potentially plum home game with a Burnley team who traditionally don’t travel that well.

Newcastle and Stoke may hold more interest in the handshake shenanigans than any on the field activities.

Watford, having had a strong start, will look to test a potentially vulnerable Man City back line in what may be a very entertaining fixture, perhaps not so much if you own defenders from either side.

West Brom and West Ham may have the antidote to the above though, just in case you get over excited.

Saturday evening returns us to the television and at least this time there is some semi entertainment as Spurs will be looking for a first PL win at Wembley against an ailing Swansea

Sunday does finally bring some strong games back to the big screen. Arsenal host Chelsea in the early one and then Man United play Everton in the late one to bring our game-week to a close.

THE GAMES IN FULL –

Good luck to absolutely everyone for GW5 from all at FF247!

    Evening all.
Willing to take a -4 hit
Can you see any decent moves?

Like everyone else I’ve got the Kun itch, but so far I’m resisting it – just remember he plays away at Stoke this GW. I’ll consider him after the 6-8 weeks he spends injured!

Not doing great but I still think I should tinker to sort it, as most of the wildcard options are fairly sideways. I do need to sort out my defence and 3rd striker though.

Defence wise, Daniels has to go. I can bring in Kolasanic if I get Abraham – who has impressed me when I’ve watched him and has decent fixtures up until my planned wildcard after GW11 – for Chica.

    1FT, 0ITB.

So, Daniels & Chicha > Kolasanic & Abraham? Or something else?

I’m simply having problems getting over that 50 point per match rut that I’ve been in. Through 5 rounds I’m sitting on 259 points. With some money in the bank and 2 FT’s, I’m thinking of moving Pogba & Alonso and bringing in Salah & Bailly. I am also tempted to simply switch out Pogba for Silva (City vs CP is enticing) and make two moves to strengthen my squad for Round 7.

Evening lads I can’t decide on a few things.

    Maguire or Simpson?
Is Davies a better option than these two but with a weaker striker?

    Evening Fellas.

So after a nightmare start and with 3 chips used ( WC / Free Hit / Triple capt) plus a -12 hit this week I’ve finally come up with a team I like …btw Kane is dead to me !!
May spread Alonso cash to beef up defence, but I promised myself I will never ever sell him, ever again.
    Plz Rate.

Which of these moves do you prefer?

    A. Stephens, Eriksen and Mounie to Maguire, Brady and Moray a

    B. Stephens, Eriksen and Mounie to Maguire, Fab/Ramsey and Vardy
