With five of the big boys, and also Arsenal, having been on European duty this week we may be about the hear the dreaded ‘R’ word a number of times over the next few days as the team-sheets roll in. Certain key personnel such as Hazard were given the week off, other ones played (relatively poorly) and then proceeded to wander around with a pack of Lemsip in their hand afterwards to further fuel speculation as to their possible involvement. All will be revealed in due course though…

Watford pitch up at Fulham to kick us off on Saturday lunch-time to test their strong arm tactics against the strongest of arms in the shape of Mitrovic. Expect fireworks. New FPL favourite Fraser then gets a taste of real Northern ‘hospitality’ at Burnley to begin our 3pm games. Cardiff will hope, probably in vein, not to be the victims of a Pep backlash. Zaha will no doubt get fouled and subsequently wound up like nobody’s business against Newcastle after last week’s revelation that he ‘gets fouled a lot and gets wound up by it’! Vardy then gets another bite at grabbing our attention with a tasty home game against Huddersfield. Salah will then divide an FPL nation by either appearing against Saints or not, and that’s before he even gets a sniff of kicking a ball or two into their net, or doesn’t. Either way, avoid twitter would be our advice, the idiots will be out in full force! Jose’s reinvigoration will be severely tested as the Wolves come a hunting.

Our evening game, after a breathless Saturday afternoon, may end up with Poch wandering alongside the Brighton seafront, supping from a can of Special Brew, muttering nonsensical musings to himself, if the current pattern is to be believed. Or Kane could score a hat-trick and half a million wildcards will be suddenly and unexpectedly activated. Football, eh…

Sunday then sees a supposedly rejuvenated West Ham face a supposedly in form and title challenging Chelsea. Time will tell on both fronts. Arsenal and Everton then close our week out with a challenge as to which one is worse at playing the ball out front the back.

  1. My GW – 2 pain points: A swing of -20 points.
    (1) Sold Bilva and bought Hazard
    (2) Benched Fabianski
Positive: Sold Pedro and bought Fraser. I just hope these moves pay-off long term, now time to keep patience.

Zaha – what is the potential? So far, PAL has been quite ordinary attack-wise and excellent defensively.

    • Ouch that’s painful. Hopefully it pays off long term

  2. Miki not even on the bench. Glad I made the switch for Maddison. Thanks for the advice Init

  3. Arsenal are so damn average now. This is depressing.

    • And while I’m talking to myself, why are we playing one of the best finishers in the league as a left winger?!

      • I really don’t understand why Cech and Xhaka still get a game either

        • Agree 100%. Both are shite.

Glad we have Torreira now to disguise some of Xhaka and Ramsey’s shortcomings.

Rich looks like a good player. Would be happy to have him in the Arsenal team. And it’s nice seeing Walcott get caught offside for a different team.

        • So is Mustafi…Ozil is a passenger too. In some days, he will give some through passes. We need 2 good CBs and 1 winger. We do not have any winger in squad – utterly surprising, still management does not want to spend money. Mahrez was easy buy and would have been better in either wing. Torreira and Guendouzi somewhat fixed the CDM. I think it will take another 2-3 seasons to fix this mess.

        • Somehow if ARS can get a UCL berth, some money will come. No doubt in UCL, we will lose pretty badly.

        • Goalmachine, I think that’s a sensible time line. Can’t see us being close to top four this year or next.

        • on a different note, GM and Chins, do you follow Arsenal Fan TV ?

        • Arsenal fan TV is only watched whenever I want to feel better about myself. Full of absolute plebs. Presenter included.

        • unsurprisingly chins i watched a few and got put off by that troopz dude who they interview every single week (hope you are not on here in ff247, troopz lol)

        • Exactly same feeling about Cech and Xhaka. Just start Leno and Torreira/Guendouzi in central midfield.

    • i was hoping it will be a thrashing like last season. so far so good.

i see you did your WC chins in the end.

      • Hi mate. Indeed I did. I got completely screwed though. Sitting there close to a final WC draft about 8pm Texas time on Friday night and all the price changes went through which cost me over 0.5M!! Had to redo my entire team and ended up having to sacrifice Salah to Mane which obviously hasn’t worked out too well so far.

I got put off Maddison by Kop’s comment about him being lucky to have the points he has. So that’s Kop off my Christmas card list too.

All in all, a disappointment so far. Might dump Laca for Vardy and replace Periera in defense.

      • cheer up chins. forget this week and start fresh next week. you have a plan in mind. lets hope the players you want arent injured midweek or rotation risk

    • If I were Emery I’d definitely consider bringing Lacazette, Aubameyang or Ozil on.

      • Good call. Everton looking the better team so far. Which is a statement I never thought I’d make.

        • FFS Ozil!!! You gutless fekkin weasel. Can’t beleive we gave that fish a new contract.

    • The team seem very disjointed!

  4. Ive 1ft and 0.6m ITB

Id like to get Richarilson in but not sure the timing ofoffloading Lucas Moura is right

    • personally thing double bmouth is too much. what about king to mitro? i say keep moura for another week.

      • Ya I brought in Fraser this week for Cairney as I wanted a better starting midfielder to Stephens

King to Mitro not a bad shout – would you make that with Mitro away to Everton and King at home to Palace….

        • hmm .. yeah .. its a big gamble struggler. id go with it if i were you.

      • King to Mitro is a good move.

  5. Finished on 68! Averaging 64.5 but it felt like a disppointing week!

Debating whether to keep my FT for GW7 or bring in either Richarlison or Maddison in for Moura.

    • I’d probably roll the FT. At least wait till after the midweek fixtures before you make any moves.

  6. Boom what a goal!!
