Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7

Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7. Your last chance for some FPL points before we go off again on another pointless international break and all your star players get to globe trot like carbon emissions are a thing of the past. GW7 spans just Saturday and Sunday this time and we begin with Spurs on the road (that’s good Spurs then) as they go to Huddersfield at lunchtime. We then have five 3pm kick-offs. None of which look particularly exciting if we are being totally honest! Man United hosting Palace may be for those who captained Lukaku, but then again who didn’t! Hence the lack of excitement…

The best game on Saturday (in theory) is being kept back until the evening and sees the current champs Chelsea host the probable next ones Man City. Or so it seems. You could probably have said the same this time last season. And been proven very wrong. Which makes it just the more intriguing this time.

Sunday is a veritable feast, at least compared to last week! Arsenal host Brighton in the early game, Koeman will hope that Niasse can keep him in a job a week longer in the 2.15pm one and then we round the week off with Liverpool going to Newcastle and the TV companies flogging the possibility of another 4-3 classic. Monkeys and typewriters and all that…

So, 2 assists in a row for Alexis. 4th clean sheet for Arsenal , good enough next 3 fixtures, is it time? Chile need at least a win from their 2 last WCQ games and if they do qualify and he looks good than yeah, it may well be!

    Okay then …
I don’t think many will care that much given the low %ownership of the players involved but if this sets a trend than it does worry me. The definition of an assist (deflection or not) must at least involve the ‘assisted’ shooting the ball. I saw the replays and Joselu didn’t shoot the ball. It was Matip that made a tackle throwing the ball against his leg… no way there’s an assist there to be awarded…opinions?

Hi all, hope you had a nice GW. 82(-4) pts here and a big jump in rank.

I think it’s necessary to get Chelsea coverage, but I can’t make up my mind between Morata and Hazard. Does anyone have a preference between these two? I will of course wait after the international matches and until we have news on Morata but it would be nice to have some thoughts. Could also postpone getting these one GW and do Salah/Miki -> Coutinho or de Gea -> Courtois instead.

I have morata in the team so will be looking at Spain’s line up. If he plays I’d take him. Hazard hasn’t hit the ground for me yet.

What’s your city over like? I am thinking of doing Mkhit to silva. Man u have a hard run soon.

      The B says:

Im not yet convinced by Hazard. But maybe only because I have seen him play full in the City game, which was a tough game to judge.

Will consider Morata the only way into Chelsea attack.
I think Azpi/Alonso might also become necessary (Palace, Bournemouth, Watford and WB in next 5 GWs).

      Tekno-kun says:

Thanks guys, Morata seems the sensible choice given that he is more proven this season. I need a cheaper midfielder to fund Morata to Chicharito, so (I never thought I’d say this, but…) might bring in Mophead for Miki. Hardly better value in the 4.5-5.0 range?

    The B says:

Not able to fit any City/Chelsea attacker in my team without a -8 hit.

So Im just gonna stay calm, save a FT and watch my next GW burn down to ashes.
