Welcome to Fantasy Football Live Match Chat Gameweek 7. Your last chance for some FPL points before we go off again on another pointless international break and all your star players get to globe trot like carbon emissions are a thing of the past. GW7 spans just Saturday and Sunday this time and we begin with Spurs on the road (that’s good Spurs then) as they go to Huddersfield at lunchtime. We then have five 3pm kick-offs. None of which look particularly exciting if we are being totally honest! Man United hosting Palace may be for those who captained Lukaku, but then again who didn’t! Hence the lack of excitement…

The best game on Saturday (in theory) is being kept back until the evening and sees the current champs Chelsea host the probable next ones Man City. Or so it seems. You could probably have said the same this time last season. And been proven very wrong. Which makes it just the more intriguing this time.

Sunday is a veritable feast, at least compared to last week! Arsenal host Brighton in the early game, Koeman will hope that Niasse can keep him in a job a week longer in the 2.15pm one and then we round the week off with Liverpool going to Newcastle and the TV companies flogging the possibility of another 4-3 classic. Monkeys and typewriters and all that…

    • I’d hold off until we get more news on Lukaku but if I had to choose one of those moves I’d go with A. Firmino has been poor and looks like he might get rotated with Sturridge. Could you do a straight swap of Firmino to Vardy?

      • A is my preferred move for a -4 so I can get the city cover. I will hold for now

  3. Same position as most with Morata! What to do? I am 0.1 short of swapping him to Jesus so that leaves Lacazette, Vardy or someone else? Any thoughts? I’d likely need to move tonight to avoid any price drops. I wouldn’t be able to afford Lacazette if there is a .1 change anywhere.

      • Do you think that’s likely Smash? Have read he will be out for a month!

        • Yeah and then today they are reporting he might make next game so not really sure what’s going on there

    • Not released if he’s playing this Friday but he is likely to be.

    • Here it is mate. And yes he’s in there. Quite some squad that. Until you get to LB position anyway!

    Transfer question.. I am looking to transfer out Morata (as many are). His value is 10.4m yet I can only transfer him out for 10.2m. Why is this? As if I transfer him out I will struggle to buy him back in.

      How much did you pay for Morata?

    • You probably only paid 10 for him

      • So currently I won’t lose any money if he drops 0.1m. Question is if I transfer him out or not… hmm tricky one

    • If the price rises after you buy a player you can only pocket half of the profit. If they drop you cop the whole lot. Not fair is it

      • So 0.1m better off from buying him. Could only afford to buy him back if he drops to 10.3m which he is likely to do.

    Same as most I am stuck with what to do with morata.

    Jesus and batman are the obvious replacements but unsure if conte really fancies batman. I can only do Jesus tonight before morata drops in price otherwise I can’t afford him.

    Any help appreciated

    • I don’t often advocate early transfers but I reckon I’d actually do that one.

      • Think you’re right. Can’t afford conte to put be putting batman on the bench again.at least Jesus is going to play.

        Unless he gets injured too of course!

        • Risk vs Benefit and I think the benefits of doing it, or at least the downside of not, far outweigh the risks on this one.

        • Yeah you’re right. If he did get injured too it’s just -4 to change it to batman if need be anyway whereas I can do it the other way around

        Would you do Bats if you already had Jesus, or look elsewhere-Vardy, perhaps?

        • Hi Ki. If we were to get to the point where it is confirmed that Morata was out for a good few weeks beyond the Palace game then I’d maybe consider him. As we stand right now, no chance I would.

    • I’d do Jesus if I could afford him. Especially with aguero out atm.

    • Aguero out for 6 weeks I’d prob go for it
