McGinn is a problem means no Kane
Too funny
I’m tempted to captain Sterling
No
the same thought is crossing my mind after mo’s 2 hour run out on wednesday
Great shout smash – if I had him I would have the armband on him!
Same Smash, very.
I’m seriously considering it Smash
There’s usually goals when City play at home I m guessing and we know he will play
Yeah, although Saints are awful…
The majority aren’t Smash. I know that’s only a small sample but it’s usually fairly representative of how it pans out overall.
Saturday night TV captain does have a certain appeal, although I appreciate that’s totally the wrong reasoning!
I haven’t voted yet :big_boss:
Yeah just checked at Scout and they have similar numbers on their poll, it’s the fixture that is getting more attention than the midweek game… I think I’m still capping Salah because Saints are leaking goals, whereas City-Spurs game could be rather tight, I can see 1-0 or 2-1, whereas Pool will most likely put at least 4 past our god forsaken defense :slaphead:
You’ve probably seen more of than I have, really that bad?
Yeah, especially Vestergaard, I reckon if he doesn’t start (I have no idea whether he will, he obviously shouldn’t) then it might not be that bad, the preseason games were very open as well, we conceded a lot of chances so the result against Burnley didn’t come to me as a big surprise… Also take a look at how we’ve played against Pool recently, conceded 11 goals in the last 4 games… conceded 3,3,2,3… It’s looking good for Pool, Mane could score very well as well!
Zed – that may be all true mate, but last year’s game actually told a very different story as I’m sure you recall. Liverpool managed to draw by Keita in the first half but they were clueless in the second one untill Salah (ok, I appreciate this doesn’t help my ’cause’) had that crazy run from is own half or whatever. What I mean is that I don’t expect Saints to roll over here despite their gw1 antics.
Yeah but that was when we actually had a great run just before that last season, did well against United, won Spurs, won Brighton away, and then it was the Pool game, now we are, sadly, in a lot worse place than we were when we played Pool last season, and yet even then we lost, yet even then Salah had that run… The thing is Ralph is a manager who likes to attack, but our CBs are all very slow so if we don’t park the bus then that’s great for Salah…
Even after that Pool game we won Wolves 3-1, so we were clearly on a bit of a run, what I mean is that we were a lot stronger back then, now we are weaker, not looking good (hopefully I’m totally wrong of course)
If it were a new manager I’d get that. Not being the case, the sample is too small to say that. Let’s just think it’s the first home game for a team that gained a new soul after the manager switch last season and that since then has only failed badly once!
The sample size is not small, many preseason games in it as well, and the most recent games are more telling than the older ones, and you were drawing positives from the last Pool game that we lost 1-3 (!!!) Are you saying it’s unlikely we will concede 3-4 goals tomorrow? I’d love to believe you!! C’mon Ralph Express :locomotive: 😆
Yeah which means I’ll prob go with Salah as don’t feel that strong about it. Only thing is that people vote for the players they own as I think Auba is best pick
He’s mine atm smash. The only slight doubt being his fading away last term after the Champions League debacle with the VAR disalloewd goal vs Spurs. I think he didnt quite recover from that in those last 5 games – you could see it in his face (and on his fpl output of 1 assist…). Different season and all that, but it’s the same opponent in the same venue. Still captaining him though – he ticks a lot of boxes. And the fixture thing vs Salah doesn’t really make sense as Salah had the better one in gw 1 and we all know how that ended.

Ah brilliant! Thanks for this man. I hadn’t seen the initial post! And thank you fan team! Will check it out afterwards.
No probs!
Just a note for those trying to use the token;
You need to enter a team in the €50 Comp and then on checkout select to use a token to pay.
Well, actually init, I wasn’t able to conclude that. I entered the team and chose the £20.00 option but when trying to get out and confim it tells me I need to make a deposit (as I only have 9.53 in there)…
What am I missing?
Open the cashier option, there should be a ‘use token’ button but in all honesty I’m thinking they may have applied it to the wrong tournament because mine worked but it was tournament 179488 but GP is having an issue and his said 179486. And doesn’t work. Mine was applied separately to these so I suspect mine was correct and these may all be wrong. If so they’ll give you ones for next week I’m sure.
Well, the £20.00 is there and has been awarded to #179486 and that is apparently the 50k monster for gw2, as per picks
However, when I press “Enter Tournament” it says the registration is over… despite being 13h to deadline… Im lóst.
Captain Salah or Aubamyang?, not sure which one do choose
Salah
Cheers for the advice
Salah for me.
If I had Aubameyang I think I’d go for him
If I had Auba it would be him
Get back to work Aaron! :warning: :blum:
Auba for me.
I’ve finished now , two good captain choices, think I’ll go with Auba for Tomorrow
I was only joking! You know full well I spend half my working day on here  :secret:
Looks like I’ve chosen the wrong captain in Auba
About captain choice, I’m suprised there is no love for Siggy? Great fixtures, penalty taker, freekick taker.. what are your thougts?
Also, can you rate my team? I think I will leave FT for next week:
I did think about him in my ‘ones that got away’ sentence in the captains’ article. I have captained Siggy successfully in the distant past. He’s not the worst of punts by any means but I think you may get more from Salah or Sterling. Everton haven’t been the most prolific of goal scorers whereas City and Liverpool usually carve out umpteen chances (has a furtive look at the Opta data…).
Siggy is someone I’m looking at very closely as a possible Fraser replacement so I’ll be interested to see how he gets on tomorrow. If you go with it good luck with it.
Evening
Team for GW2; good to go?
Very nice Mitro
Looks good
