FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 19
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 19. After picking up a red arrow in GW17 it was back to our favourite colour green in GW18. A score of 60 saw us finish 8pts above the average. Admittedly it was a small green arrow but at this difficult time of the season we’ll take whatever we can get.
Our game-week got off to a poor start as Danny Simpson & Leicester yet again failed to keep a clean sheet. Saturday afternoon saw our captain Eden Hazard fail to sparkle and we were forced to make do with just an assist. Andreas Christensen pitched in with 8pts but Shaqiri & Richarlison did nowt. Raheem Sterling left it late but we were happy to wait as he rewarded us with two goals as City spanked Harry Kane and Spurs.
Sunday afternoon saw Mo Salah score his customary goal although we were a little perturbed as Roberto Firmino, who we sold on Friday, picked up 12pts. This meant our keeper Asmir Begovic picked up just 1pt.
And that brought us to Monday night and Wayne Rooney. I think one of our management team best summed up Rooney on twitter… “Probably the worst 1 goal, 2 assist game I have seen someone play. Misses pen and gets a BS assist. Passes the ball to Siggy and Siggy does all the work. Fair assist, but even Fellaini can make that pass. Then scores on a pen from a foul that was outside the box”.

This week’s transfer – we have sold Simpson and bought Masuaku
Well that was easy! One suggestion, agreed by all, the quickest meeting we’ve ever had. Guessing everyone just wanted to get back to the boozer asap and agree to anything. Let’s be fair Simpson and Leicester have looked awful at the back and last week’s 3-0 loss at home to Palace was the last straw. All we needed to do was to identify his replacement and canny old us even upped the coffers by 0.1mln by buying Masuaku. With three clean sheets on the bounce and with a DGW on the horizon we think we’re buying proactive and smart. No doubt something will occur to bite us, like a red card or injury, but whatever. Masuaku goes straight into our starting XI. Just in case anyone didn’t see last weeks West Ham game, the bloke played like a young Gareth Bale, on speed. Now ok, this may have been a one off but with the Moyes ethic of work hard and run, or don’t play, then we are relatively hopeful with this one.

What has the world come to? We have Kane in our team, Hazard in our team, the league’s leading scorer in our team. And we have captained Sterling. Either we have completely lost our marbles or Pep is a genius. Or we are! We are risking rotation. We are risking Sterling doing what he does best and missing easy chance after easy chance. We are truly playing with fire. Which usually means getting burnt. We shall see. City have a good fixture, playing Bournemouth at the Etihad while Sterling has scored 11 goals already this season including two last week at Spurs. So the form is there. As is the fixture. We are following all the traditional FPL rules. But this is Sterling…… wish us luck!

Smash, you have our sympathies, you’ve had some dreadful luck over the past few weeks. However, your resilience is impressive – lesser people would have thrown the towel in and rage-quit by now!
Ha ha you have to laugh take the highs with the lows . I might have to join the Makusaku party later to get 11 players for a hit as well Cookie

Somehow Hazard isn’t scoring as much without Morata. And looking at Man City trigger happy scoring, I would prefer KDB/Sterling. Such a dilemma
Nice team lads, my capo is also sterling but I’m so tempted to bring in Kun for Laca!
Could also do hazard to KDB?
No Masuaku but I have Dunk! and I have the armband on Sterling for now. Not sure if I should go with KDB. Otherwise I guess my team is ready…

Thanks mate. Took some hit to get to this but with one eye on TV which i hope will be useful for the 2nd half of the season. Need to stay hit free from now on.

You’re just really unlucky mate! I had a bad patch as well when i got consecutive own goals from Yedlin, Dunk, Zeegy red card and injurty to Mustafi, Ramsey but yours seems a lot worst!
Morning all, I made my change last night and went the other way with Ogbonna… feel like I’m missing out on the party now! Haha
Decided to just make the 1 FT ( I have 2) and hope my 11 all play, is that risky?
My thinking is that 3 of my red flags clear tomorrow and going into each match over Xmas with 2FT will be handy with inevitable injury/suspension/rotation. I also think people will be going hit mad so being a little conservative could work out well.
Basically I’m being boring!
Oh and I’ve had the armband on Sterling all week so it’s good see I’m not alone in losing my mind!

Ahh fine it was just a lunch so I had to come back to work! Stopped drinking at 3pm… just took a few hours to sober up!!
Interesting I went the other way and have bought Firmino and Sterling in for RLC and Morata. Willl need to bring in a defender I expect but will wait till team talk. My red flags are not likely to be back so could be a good longer term strategy for you
Is Sane a good shout for cap or is he likely to be benched?
Hazard to de bruyne is my other dilemma or just save transfer?
Sane will likely play this GW, who knows if he’s a good cappo, if that were my team I’d save and stick it on Sane for what it’s worth!
And 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 with grob and crouch the swaps?
