FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 19
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 19. After picking up a red arrow in GW17 it was back to our favourite colour green in GW18. A score of 60 saw us finish 8pts above the average. Admittedly it was a small green arrow but at this difficult time of the season we’ll take whatever we can get.
Our game-week got off to a poor start as Danny Simpson & Leicester yet again failed to keep a clean sheet. Saturday afternoon saw our captain Eden Hazard fail to sparkle and we were forced to make do with just an assist. Andreas Christensen pitched in with 8pts but Shaqiri & Richarlison did nowt. Raheem Sterling left it late but we were happy to wait as he rewarded us with two goals as City spanked Harry Kane and Spurs.
Sunday afternoon saw Mo Salah score his customary goal although we were a little perturbed as Roberto Firmino, who we sold on Friday, picked up 12pts. This meant our keeper Asmir Begovic picked up just 1pt.
And that brought us to Monday night and Wayne Rooney. I think one of our management team best summed up Rooney on twitter… “Probably the worst 1 goal, 2 assist game I have seen someone play. Misses pen and gets a BS assist. Passes the ball to Siggy and Siggy does all the work. Fair assist, but even Fellaini can make that pass. Then scores on a pen from a foul that was outside the box”.

This week’s transfer – we have sold Simpson and bought Masuaku
Well that was easy! One suggestion, agreed by all, the quickest meeting we’ve ever had. Guessing everyone just wanted to get back to the boozer asap and agree to anything. Let’s be fair Simpson and Leicester have looked awful at the back and last week’s 3-0 loss at home to Palace was the last straw. All we needed to do was to identify his replacement and canny old us even upped the coffers by 0.1mln by buying Masuaku. With three clean sheets on the bounce and with a DGW on the horizon we think we’re buying proactive and smart. No doubt something will occur to bite us, like a red card or injury, but whatever. Masuaku goes straight into our starting XI. Just in case anyone didn’t see last weeks West Ham game, the bloke played like a young Gareth Bale, on speed. Now ok, this may have been a one off but with the Moyes ethic of work hard and run, or don’t play, then we are relatively hopeful with this one.

What has the world come to? We have Kane in our team, Hazard in our team, the league’s leading scorer in our team. And we have captained Sterling. Either we have completely lost our marbles or Pep is a genius. Or we are! We are risking rotation. We are risking Sterling doing what he does best and missing easy chance after easy chance. We are truly playing with fire. Which usually means getting burnt. We shall see. City have a good fixture, playing Bournemouth at the Etihad while Sterling has scored 11 goals already this season including two last week at Spurs. So the form is there. As is the fixture. We are following all the traditional FPL rules. But this is Sterling…… wish us luck!

I assume GW 21 is the last week of 5 YC bans? But they can carry through into January?
Its up to and including the 31st December.
The cut off for 5 yellows is after a player’s club has played 19 league matches…so basically this weekend.
So is the date cut off just there in case of game postponements? Otherwise it’s irrelevant?
Thanks though, very useful. Was hoping Kane could be banned for one of the DGW games but I guess not.
I don’t know why they have included the date, it’s very misleading.
So re Kane – he cannot be banned for the DGW through an accumulation of YCs. If he gets booked this weekend then he will miss GW20 vs Southampton.
The Kun Kunundrum…..
I have two free transfers this game week. Done Tarkowski to Otamendi earlier in the week with the £2.4m in the bank.
With Jesus playing the full 120 minutes in midweek in the cup and not in the greatest of form, Kun should surely start at home to Bournemouth.
Seriously considering swapping out Kane for Kun and sticking the armband on him also.
Man City next four fixtures are sooooo good but I know Peptation will kick in during this period.
Bournemouth were crap against Liverpool last week and I think have a few injuries to contend with.
I also still have my first wildcard to use before the 30th December deadline so can obviously change my whole squad.
Thoughts on this move please?

Your in a position where you don’t have much to lose and yeah surely Aguero starts
Ive considered it myself Jamie. It’s mainly a 1 week punt though as he is then very likely to sit the next, then play, etc. You know the risks. As a one week punt with the armband then it could be gold.
