FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 19
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 19. After picking up a red arrow in GW17 it was back to our favourite colour green in GW18. A score of 60 saw us finish 8pts above the average. Admittedly it was a small green arrow but at this difficult time of the season we’ll take whatever we can get.
Our game-week got off to a poor start as Danny Simpson & Leicester yet again failed to keep a clean sheet. Saturday afternoon saw our captain Eden Hazard fail to sparkle and we were forced to make do with just an assist. Andreas Christensen pitched in with 8pts but Shaqiri & Richarlison did nowt. Raheem Sterling left it late but we were happy to wait as he rewarded us with two goals as City spanked Harry Kane and Spurs.
Sunday afternoon saw Mo Salah score his customary goal although we were a little perturbed as Roberto Firmino, who we sold on Friday, picked up 12pts. This meant our keeper Asmir Begovic picked up just 1pt.
And that brought us to Monday night and Wayne Rooney. I think one of our management team best summed up Rooney on twitter… “Probably the worst 1 goal, 2 assist game I have seen someone play. Misses pen and gets a BS assist. Passes the ball to Siggy and Siggy does all the work. Fair assist, but even Fellaini can make that pass. Then scores on a pen from a foul that was outside the box”.
Last weeks result…
This week’s transfer – we have sold Simpson and bought Masuaku
Well that was easy! One suggestion, agreed by all, the quickest meeting we’ve ever had. Guessing everyone just wanted to get back to the boozer asap and agree to anything. Let’s be fair Simpson and Leicester have looked awful at the back and last week’s 3-0 loss at home to Palace was the last straw. All we needed to do was to identify his replacement and canny old us even upped the coffers by 0.1mln by buying Masuaku. With three clean sheets on the bounce and with a DGW on the horizon we think we’re buying proactive and smart. No doubt something will occur to bite us, like a red card or injury, but whatever. Masuaku goes straight into our starting XI. Just in case anyone didn’t see last weeks West Ham game, the bloke played like a young Gareth Bale, on speed. Now ok, this may have been a one off but with the Moyes ethic of work hard and run, or don’t play, then we are relatively hopeful with this one.
The team in full
And so this is how we line up ahead of GW19…
Our Captain is Raheem Sterling
What has the world come to? We have Kane in our team, Hazard in our team, the league’s leading scorer in our team. And we have captained Sterling. Either we have completely lost our marbles or Pep is a genius. Or we are! We are risking rotation. We are risking Sterling doing what he does best and missing easy chance after easy chance. We are truly playing with fire. Which usually means getting burnt. We shall see. City have a good fixture, playing Bournemouth at the Etihad while Sterling has scored 11 goals already this season including two last week at Spurs. So the form is there. As is the fixture. We are following all the traditional FPL rules. But this is Sterling…… wish us luck!

A small bit surprised with the number captaining Sterling over Kane
Kane hasn’t returned much the past 2 weeks but his goals and shots per game numbers are still very high
Have you seen Burnley defend at home?! They’ve conceded 3 in 9 games. City have scored 32 in 9 at home.
+1
Burnley will miss Ward and Tarwaaaaaaaaaaa next game. That’s taking out two of their main defense versus a team of Spurs. I think they could be in trouble.
Yep, Long, Taylor and Bardsley are not the ones who made Burnley so strong defensively. You would think those 3 can’t be as cohesive as Tark, Ward and Lowton were with Mee earlier in the season.
By all accounts Bardsley has played so well he will keep Lowton out of the team. Burnley havent conceded in 180 minutes with Long on the pitch, and his 3 BPS must mean he’s picking up clearance/interception/block points which can only mean good things as a defender. Taylor I don’t know much about but they haven’t conceded with him there either.
City at home or Spurs away (1 point out of 15) seems a no brainer?
Sounds like you are still contemplating it. 😉
Hey everyone.. i have 2 quick questions..
whats the chance these two player will start this gw?
mangala and eliott
i read on the article said that mangala will start this gw, but i see the yellow caution on the apps.
Elliot should start again after the disastrous Darlow experiment.
Mangala came off with a head injury the other night, hence the flag. Pep will confirm one way or another, you’d hope, when he speaks. I believe that one is due to start at 1.36pm.
1:36
That’s what I said 😉
Not really
‘Twas
hahahah thanks thanks..
hopefully he will reveal something
Hi guys. Who to captain out of Sterling and KDB? I have both and I feel the city game will have plenty of goals.
Need to go with your gut on this one Eagle
Somehow favouring Sterling because of his explosiveness. But KDB could do great as well. No one in my mini league has KDB yet so captaining him if he hauls would shoot me up the table.
When is the Man City presser?
Pep was asked if David Silva would be available for tomorrow and said “I do not know” So maybe ????
colonial, do you have him? I’ve got him, been contemplating whether to sell him or Richarlison for Sterling. Woulda helped to have a bit more than “I don’t know”!
Pep when asked if Silva is back this week: “I don’t know”
Thanks Pep :cry-lol:
