Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles Part 14

Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces hide behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our latest two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…
We will add a disclaimer here – we have resolved to not edit what is sent in at all. What you see is what you (we) get. FPL ranks were correct at the time of sending as well so may be much worse by now! Or better…

Tell us about yourself in less than 50 words:……Originally a southerner but now living as a northerner minus whippet and flat cap!! Happily married to Bec for 9 years,3 kids,hard working and loyal family man,spend HOURS each week studying form, fixtures, formations and possible transfers in FF(whilst my print machine is running!) ,but v little time for ‘site’ time,this will probably be seen as apathy or ignorance on my behalf but honestly it isn’t!!

Country visited (and state why!):……Japan,went snowboarding one new year for 20 days (2001) beautiful scenery, the most fantastically friendly, mild mannered and politest people you have ever met (particularly when they know you’re English!) amazing cuisine and just an overall unsuppased total experience!(Wierdest thing ever was there is no litter!!)
Countries you would most like to visit………The Asian continent as a whole fascinates me,so take your pick India,China,Malaysia,Vietnam ,Sri Lanka etc etc

    • What the heck is a trequarista? Earlier, someone on here said that Bellerin is rumored to have picked up an injury, so keep an eye on that just in case. The rest looks fine to me.

        • So Folks as you can see “Pottys Predictions” made Peaky Dave and Beck’s two very happy folk.
          To arrange their Special “Indian Night” Out me and Sam booked them a Table at the above swish Restaurant.

      Mind me asking what the name of the place is? I only ask because i was in London a few back for a gig and my mate and i went to an Indian place for grub (we’re chili freaks) and it looked very similar to the place in the photo’s, and was seriously expensive to boot. Amazing food though, so it was worth it.

        • Init, A A A A A alllll day 😉 Although I would downgrade who you think is your weakest midfielder to Boyd or similar and use the money elsewhere but I don’t like rotating personally. Ok you can help me here pal, I am just redoing my team (8PH to sort shit out) and my current draft only has JWP as only Southampton cover. What are your thoughts on this?

        • Thanks Alex, I like A better too in all honesty although I’ve had to endure all hell of abuse over the double Sunderland attacking coverage. I’m quite thick skinned though so I survived smile

        • Init, so alder and Debuchy would go as would fab to punchon/WP and saving enough cash for pelle to Costa next week. Happy for any suggestions mate.

        • Hi Alex, on the face of it a -8 seems a bit extreme but I’ll reserve judgement. Do me a favour and post the team as it is now please. I’m just off to bed so may not answer until the morning (when you’re in bed most likely!) but I promise I will do. Will be easier gauge with the current squad I think.

        • Hello init. Team below, would love your thoughts. My priority is getting a playing backline (cameron apears to have lost his place too now) and getting Costa back for pelle next week. Happy to get rid off fab for punchon/Elia (thoughts on which?) to finance Cahill/saints player also keen to take a on risk bellerin. Thanks mate smile

        • Ok Alex here goes! I can see the overall problem and plan. I wouldn’t go taking a -8 to fix it all in once though. I’d do Alder or Debuchy to whoever you can afford from Arsenal, Mert or Kos preferably, Bellerin if not although I’m not sure on his minutes beyond this week. I’d probably leave it at that, play Hutton and just suck that one up. There’s no reason City can’t score at Chelsea and they probably will so a hit for Cahill isn’t worth it in my opinion. Likewise in the mids will Elia/JWP/Punceon recoup 4 pts over Fab? Go for it if you think they will but I’m not convinced.

        • Init, thanks mate I can see what you mean but I only take hits for the long term and these moves are for that reason, to tidy up the problems. So what about your suggested move plus downgrade fab in order to bring in Costa next week (I think he is essential) I could also then bring Cahill in next week so a 4ph each week. More sensible?

        • Same difference really, personally I’d spread them out as next week could present completely different problems and some of today’s problems may not be problems again by then. I don’t like problems laugh

          If you’re set on that being the way to go then go for it. Personally yes I think Costa needs to be there (don’t tell GKW 😉 ).

        • Haha cheers Init. Just had a quick look and a plan is formulating:
          Jwp and bellerin for Debuchy and fab (bare with me!!)

          Then the next week cahill and Costa for pelle and cameron meaning I keep alder as he is due to return around then. I quite like that plan.

          I hear your comments about 4ph’s but as I said having the 3 chelsea players is becoming vital so happy to take a couple of hits.

          Sound like a decent plan to you?

        • Yep sounds good, last I heard which was yesterday was Alder was back in about 2 weeks so that fits about nicely and you never know he make GW23.
