Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles Part 4
Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces skulk behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our first two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…

Past: Guitarist in a signed band in the late 90’s. Fell into multimedia. As you do.
Present: Helping Japanese junior high school students to hate studying English less.
Future: Hope to one day record my own album and release it on iTunes. If I ever find the time.

I have had 4 poor weeks but still have my wild card but would like to keep it until Jan if possible, I have brought Di Marie and Naismith for week 8,
I know my defence is a little week but I decided to rotate the go ally and one defender between Newcastle and West Brom, not a great strategy to date but going to keep it going for now
Any advise would be appreciated

Hi Dazza, personally im not a fan of rotating the 5th mid and 3rd striker (that doesn’t mean its wrong, just that I always seemed to leave the wrong one out!) This said, in your situation I wouldn’t change unless your using WC. Team looks pretty solid, you’ve gone Silva as City coverage so why not ditch Dze for Pelle/Welbeck which would free up some cash? Who are you looking to bring in?

What a fab-looking team! Especially your front 8. Selection headache indeed…Wouldn’t really want to change any of your midfield/forward combos. Perm any seven from eight and you’ll have a decent chance of points. You probably wouldn’t want to use your WC to stengthen your back line, so do this incrementally. Did I read somewhere (perhaps on this blog) that Lovren’s injured on international duty? The Chelsea defence is in vogue, as is Southampton’s (wiht decent-looking fixtures in next five or six gameweeks). So: Azpi? Clyne? Bertrand? Don’t know how much cash you’ve got,,,
I have Dier in my defence too, and wonder if he shouold be ditched. Got ace points in GWs 1 and 2, but since then pretty much zilch.

Alright lad, so I saw on a post way back you are bringing Mane in (i’m a fan of his, think he will kick on) who are you looking to ditch for him and it is it to free up funds for Baines?
It was initially to free funds up for Aguero in the following –
Sterling – Mane
Falcao – Aguero
I’m now toying with the idea of keeping Falcao for the West Brom game. I may still do the Mane one as a punt despite Liverpool having QPR. Wasn’t impressed with Sterling in the England game and haven’t been for a while whereas Mane is looking like he may be on the verge of something.
Falcoa – Aguero will be a last minute call but again he is a differential with a good fixture so I may stick with him this week and just do the prep move ahead of next week.
Sorry yes checked your team after posting and saw you had Baines but no Augero. Sterling-Mane is the same move as myself to free up cash for Pieters to Baines. I’m just not sure I have the balls to do it ahead of kind Liverpool fixtures and the return of Sturridge. What are your thoughts on that?
I’m pretty sure I’m doing it. Calculated risk. Sterling has been poor, Mane looks explosive. Could be proved very wrong but I think that’s where I am.
Hope it pays off for you mate. I have to do 3 moves to get the cash so may do something small to realise the additional funds and then watch the coming GW and make the call then. Game-time is my other concern, I dont want Shane-Cant hit a barn door-Long getting his place back!

I would like to point out, before anyone else does, that i am aware that my team includes one L. Baines. And yes, i recall querying recently why so many teams included him. Well, I’ve looked at the fixtures, and concluded the same as many of you already had. Sorry i’m late to the party! Plus, it’s an easy swap out for anyone if it all goes tits up.
