Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles Part 4
Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces skulk behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our first two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…
Next up to the examination table are Bryan Munich and Raziel.

cheers dreamers, i thought the same too
Hello all! This is my first season doing FPL and have become a little obsessed. Love this site, articles and comments have been invaluable. Would really appreciate some advice about my team though.
Plan A is Krul –> Forster this week, then Cahill –> Baines next (leaves 0.2 ITB in case of price rises)
However, most people seem to be playing 3-4-3. I’ve been playing 3-5-2 all season, currently got Vardy as my bench-warmer (although he might get a rare run-out this week over Chadli, given Newcastle & MC fixtures). It’s worked out pretty well so far, got 70 points last week, but is 3-4-3 going to be better in the long run? In which case should I prioritise downgrading Chadli or Siggy or even Sterling and getting Wellbeck or Pelle, even if that scuppers my defensive plans? I just don’t know if they’re likely to do that much better than my mids.
Any thoughts would be great, thanks!
Hi Tommy, there’s no right or wrong answer on formation and certainly the way you’ve set up lends itself to a 3 5 2 with great flexibility to ride the fixtures and switch to a 3 4 3. Those proposed moves seem good. Pelle and Welbeck are both good picks with the fixtures ahead but it would mean you switching to a more rigid formation. Tough one that as I like your set up as it is. I’d probably stick to your plan, some may disagree.
I really like this team. You can save to FT or get Baines. 3-5-2 is a very interesting formation as most of us playing 3-4-3, and it can payoff bigtime.
Thanks a lot, will stick with plan A barring injuries, and hope Welbeck takes a knock this evening. Fantasy team over country any day!
(Just joking of course. Mostly.)
Hello guys,
I got 1 FT for next week and I was wondering if its a good idea if Wisdom> Schlupp and play him instead of Shawcross in my 3-5-2 formation for next week.
Seeing as Shawcross is facing Swansea. And I dont have any cover for the Leicester match(Want to play Pelle as my 2nd striker intead of Ulloa)
Or Should I stick with Shawcross and save the FT??
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
Hey Doc, it’s not normally this quiet by the way! I’m sure you’ll appreciate why though. I wouldn’t say there was much immediate need or value in those moves and I’d keep the FT. I understand the Schlupp appeal as an out of position player but I’d fancy Newcastle to score in that one possibly even more than Swansea at Stoke. I’d stick. A FT can be very valuable for a rainy day.
The responses are instant enough init. Especially when youre involved
Doc, barring any new injuries, I see no reason to use a FT this week. That’s strong in every position.
Or should I go for a defender from Arsenal ??
Id appreciate any change in lineup you would recommend
What is your preferred formation?
3-5-2 as of now….
But if you feel that id benefit better from a change in formation, Im all ears
Depending upon the formation you should think of upgrading Downing (can wait for a week or two) or upgrading Ulloa. No not waste too much time thinking over def, CS are hard to predict. Keep Chambers, Duff in your watchlist.
Thanks abhi
big day for indian football as the indian super league kicks off today.
lot of young indian talent with greats such as ljubberg, pires and other old timers coming back.
too excited.
my team plays the first match today. mumbai city fc
ljungberg*
He was great in another decade. 😉 😛
Saw Ljungberg turn out sporadically for Shimizu S Pulse in the J1 league a couple of years ago. He looked like he was phoning it in back then with insipid 45 minute cameos every two games, so I dread to think what he’ll be like now.
Was still nice to see a player I’d actually heard of though.
Hey up Bry, like your tilt on life, which band were you with when signed in the late 90s ?
No-one famous nor successful, mate. That’s why I just left it as ‘signed band’. haha. We got a deal, then our management effed things up big time with the record company and we ended up making an album which never saw the light of day!
Jasprit- That’s a loss. Sorry to say that mate. 3-0 win Kolkata !!
Ljungberg did not play btw.
Good luck with that. 😉
