Who are you? Who are you? Fantasy manager profiles

Here at FF247 towers we’ve often wondered what driving forces skulk behind a comment or a rate my team reply, do we really know the mindset and the persona of the people we are conversing with?! To find the answers to these questions we have lured some regulars from out of their caves and got them to endure a simple Q&A session.
Hopefully this will help us to uncover whether each member can be viewed as a ‘fellow sports enthusiast’, ‘colleague’, ‘fantasy friend’, ‘internet troll’ or indeed ‘sociopath’! Let’s take a look inside the minds of our first two ‘victims’ then and see whether, hiding behind the cute monkey gravatars, lurks a sadistic, megalomaniacal, psychotic keyboard warrior. Or just a normal guy or gal who likes to play fantasy football…
First up on the chopping block are Tekno and chins and bellies.

    Hi all,
how would i get azpi into this team without touching top 7 or baines/clyne?
-have only managed to do it by getting a non-playing keeper/defender which I’m not too keen on
-is the best option to krul–>forster and clyne–>4.0?
    help very much appreciated!!!

      lawdogg says:

i don’t see a way to get Azpi into your side without making several changes – and I don’t think it would be worth it. You have 2 solid defenders in Baines & Clyne and a great 3-way rotation for your 3rd starting defender. You have a solid midfield and two class strikers with a good backup. Very strong team all around and one I think a lot of us would love to have. I wouldn’t tear it apart to get Azpi. In the long run I don’t think he’s going to score more points than Clyne anyway.

      B-Bash says:

Hazardeden, I’d drop one of your mids mate. One to go at present would be Sterling. Easily get Azpi then.

      • hazardeden10 says:

thanks bb, thick I am going to give sterling a go at qpr, hull then newcastle before shipping him on.. the fact that i don’t have aguero means i can have a strong midfield, which i think ill need with kun (who will hopefully get injured!!!)

Morning gentleman, (I don’t think there are any ladiessssss out there!?!) How are we all? Peaky me ol’ pal, thanks for all your effort, loved it! Great little read during these dull International breaks!

Chins, I’m very disappointed to see how different our teams are these days (FYI everyone, at one point last season due to pure coincidence Chins and I had exactly the same 15 players!)

    Raziel says:

    Great articles, bitches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! laugh

Sighs, been a long f-ing 2 days. But I’m still alive. :finger:

Right back at ya. Here is my team. Am I doomed? Don’t have Kun. sad

    • 10.1
      B-Bash says:

Evening Raz! Not having Kun doesnt strike me as the issue mate. Pieters needs to go as he appears to have lost his place. Dummet injured, although likely to be back and Chambers is banned. I assume Falcao would go if Kun were to be signed?

    • 10.2
      hazardeden10 says:

who needs kun when you have costa?? don’t say i didn’t call it when aguero falls apart sometime in the next 2 weeks… 😉
team looks solid, some city coverage would be nice though, but the only options from fpl perspective are silva or aguero…possibly for sterling(although myself I’m keeping him for next 3 games)
defence is possibly a bit weak, but you have falcao, pelle and costa up top…are you a baines fan or maybe some chelsea defence??
ohh and pieters will need to go soon for me, stoke looked woeful last game!

      Raziel says:

Ok this my REAL team. 0 Ft’s though. But it has Baines. >.<

    peakydave says:

I’m confused why people are getting rid of Sterling??? He’s averaging 5.7 points per game and sturridge has been absent for over half of them! With Sturridges imminent return and QPR,Hull then Newcastle next in the merry-go-round whats not to like???? smile

    • 11.1
      Raziel says:

PEOPLE ARE RETARDS! You don’t know? smile

      • Tekno-kun says:

Is that Gatts again Raz? Have you read the entire manga? Took me a while to get through it, but it’s the best I’ve read so far.

        • Raziel says:

Hmmm yeah. Well, I don’t like reading it online and ummmm the mange is so f-ing expensive. Now you have it partially in Dutch (not far enough) and ummm they’re much further in English but that’s like 11 or 12 Euro’s per tome. I feel sort of silly if I pay that type of money for it, 40 tomes would mean I’d have to invest 400-500 Euro’s, which is like ummmm a lot of dollars. 😛

        • Raziel says:

Was one of my first animes and still my fav. Though the ending sucks. It’s terrible! It’s horrific, sick! >.<

Anime series is from 1995? Lol, great lead in song. And ummm did you know they made 3 movies that took place at the same time as the anime series? ZOMG, again, the ending so terrible. Still crying. sad

        • Tekno-kun says:

Just watched the ending on youtube now. The manga goes on waaaaaaaay beyond that, that’s nothing more than a turning point in the manga. You have to read it Raz, aren’t you curious about what happens with Gatts and Griffith, as well as Puck, The Skull Knight, and the Berserker armor? It’s fucking long though, about 300 chapters. Suck it up and read it online.

      lawdogg says:

I have Sterling and am in no rush to offload him – think he’s suffering from a slight dip in form but he’ll come good. I think people are ditching him to go Sterling > Fabregas or to fund an Aguero/Baines purchase.

    • 11.3
      B-Bash says:

Evening Peaky, thanks for the hard work this week mate!
The Sterling issue seesm to have become an issue due the mad rush for Baines and Aguero. I have Sterling and as things stand have no intention of selling. I want to see him back with Sturridge to see how he gets on, plus LFC’s fixtures are kind for the next few gw’s. The thing I have been saying is that out of a midfield of Fab, ADM, Siggy and Sterling, it is the latter that would go to accomodate Baines/Kun. Liverpool currently offer little appeal in terms of FPL. Which makes me sad!

      • peakydave says:

No probs B-Bash I enjoyed it! I do realise what ur saying but its becoming a self fulfilling prophecy and theres a mass hysteria feel to it! 300 000 people staggering round the streets with arms outstretched chanting ‘We must get Baines,we must get Baines’! smile

    makeya says:

So I have this transfer plan. I want to sneak Welbeck into my squad without having to bin my nice attacking line. Would this be a bad move? I’m thinking of making it today. Let me know guys! I need opinions!! Cheers.

    • 12.1
      Raziel says:

That for a hit? Good luck. HAHAHA! laugh

      • makeya says:

Well, I’d rather take a hit than loose one of my best players. I could easily downgrade sterling, Fabregas, Di Maria, Aguero or Costa but they all seem to be on reasonable form.

        • Raziel says:

Question is and will be, is it worth the hit? You don’t link your team so I can’t say. You just give 3 players and say you want to replace them. Don’t know the state of your team, how balanced it is and so on.

        • Raziel says:

Three transfers, guessing you have 1 FT meaning an 8 point hit. With Welly still have to play International games, you’d freaking hit yourself in the head if it turns out he injures himself next week. >.<

        • makeya says:

I’m pretty much just trying to get rid of Ulloa. Might just get Naismith back for now. Have .2 in the bank and 2FT

        • Raziel says:

Well, if it’s for a four point hit Welly has to score once more, if it’s for an eight point hit he has to score two more goals. Plus, Iva > Azpi (Azpi didn’t even start 2 games ago IIRC, unsure why). Also, ever considered Baines?

If you do make the move I would wait as long as possible. Pelle/Welly does seem to be a must. But shrugs, Naismith seems to be getting his fair share of points. I’m guessing the Ulloa hypetrain has been put to a stop?

    • 12.2
      • Raziel says:

For all you know it’s an 8 point hit for Welly. Good effort? For real? You just want him to fail? 😛

        • Raziel says:

And making it today like a week and half away from the actual game is also a big risk. Especially since England has 2 games with him in it.

      • makeya says:

Cheers Alex. Has been plaguing me this transfer. I really want welbeck after his hat trick and seeing him in his preferred position. That being said, Raz you have completely valid points. I think I’ll slowly bring welbeck in. I might try and do Ulloa to Naismith now, then after the next GW trade out Krul for a 4.0 goalie as Tottenham fixtures will be pretty smooth after city. This will free funds to get Welbeck, Azpil (he is valued under mourinho as he had a great season last season.) and I’ll also have the chance to upgrade king. Sorted smile

        Cheers for the advise fellas!!
