Hello. Happy Summer everyone and welcome to your Pre-Season Article. The article is intended as a ‘work-in-progress’ and a workspace where we can keep each other up to date with all the latest line-up and substitution news for all twenty of this season’s Premier League teams ahead of our final selection of our fantasy squads.
We should also record the scoreline particulars including the all-important scorers, assisters and ‘nearly men’. Any salient information such as a defender on penalty kicks duties, a midfielder playing striker or Asmir Begovic playing some part in a Chelsea match to let him think he has a chance of playing this season, can be found here.
Of course, if you are lucky enough to witness any of the action, your opinion is valued too so let us know who impresses and doesn’t impress during these games.
Now you may have noticed the cunning use of “your”, “we”, and “each other” above. This is not a one-man band, because I’m useless musically and I’m not on at all hours (as much as I would like to be), so please do get involved – get the line-ups ‘up’ and the opinions flowing.

Team to play New York Red Bulls: Courtois; Ivanovic (c), Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta; Fabregas, Mikel; Moses, Oscar, Traore; Remy
Very uneventful first half, Remy scored the goal from what I think was an Oscar assist. Zouma missed a header on an Ivan cross and Remy missed an easy tap in if he would not have assumed the defender was going to clear the ball.
Begovic, Terry, Aina, Ramires, Matic, Hazard, Loftus-Cheek and Diego Costa were all brought on. Azpi, Osccar and Zouma stayed on. This is when all hell broke loose. The New York team who was playing with a bunch of kids from the reserves that made Hazard look old, scored 4 on them. Begovic was a complete mess. Terry played a ball back a bit lazily and the NY forward was able to beat Bego to the ball. It was just mistake after mistake for Chelsea. The kids kept scoring and scoring on them. On the other side Costa kept missing clear one after clear one. Hazard was able to grab a goal from another Oscar assist with a driven shot from about the 18.
In the end it is just pre-season but this is quite embarrassing considering the talent that CFC had on the pitch in the second half.
Summary: Costa missing easy ones, Oscar 2 assists, Haz goal, terrible CFC defending and Remy goal.

It wasn’t even the second team after half time! Bloody awful it was.
Their second goal was a header from a 16 year old and very short kid!
I thought Ivan and Hazo were a step ahead of everyone pace and fitness related.

Sorry GP, just read you wanted me to report it. Haven’t seen the game but heard it was Feyenoords first preseason game? They were really poor and shocked how they did. Soton was already a few steps ahead.
Think Clasie could do just as well as Schneiderlin, and well I think Soton will do well (again) this season. Unsure if EL will break them up though.
