Fantasy Premier League Set Piece Takers 2014-15
Ok then so we saw quite a few requests for an updated ‘Set-Piece takers’ list on the comments recently and it jogged our memory that we hadn’t done one and as ever we took notice and decided to take action. We had a quick look around the offices of FF247 and found Eddy and Flingy slumped in the corner playing cards and a light bulb came on! So suddenly Eddy became our roving reporter and was whisked around the world to see all of the pre-season friendlies he could manage in order to bring you the latest set-piece table, while we locked Flingy in a darkened room, with Google as his only friend, to bring you the stats on last seasons set-piece specialists. Enjoy…
Please find below the FF247 Set Piece Takers List for 2014/15. This list is a guide that we hope will help you select players that have the potential to bring in goals and crucial assist points. The table is based on information gathered from last season’s games, Opta stats, pre-season friendlies and FF247 community input.
The article itself is archived under the tab at the top of the page entitled Tips/News and is linked under the drop down box ‘FPL SET-PIECE TAKERS 2014-15’ so you can refer back to it at any time, as are many of our other articles and helpful tools such as Fixture Tracker and Weekly Tips.
Please be aware that this list is subject to change due to player injuries, drop in form, suspensions, manager whims, etc. The list will be updated throughout the season and as ever we welcome anybody in our community to inform us if you are aware of any updated roles or indeed anything you think we have got wildly inaccurate! You’re not perfect and neither are we 😉
Players are listed in order of priority for each particular role –

So while Eddy was jet setting around the globe, Flingy was busy squirreling away to bring us the highlights of last season’s set-piece stats which are below for your perusal. The first deals with the players who had the ‘Most’ in each section. The second examines the teams themselves. We hope you find these both informative and helpful. There are obviously some players in there who are no longer with us (gone abroad, not died) and there are new players at some clubs who will take over some of these duties.

Thanks for reading Fantasy Premier League Set Piece Takers 2014-15. These tips were brought to you by Eddy and Flingy.
Flingy
Costa is on 67% fitness output with Chelsea’s fitness programme.
There club policy is over 94% to be considered for 1st team duty so the next friendly will have him up to speed I’d say.
Miralles just monitor.
Potty
Interesting that you’re the first person I’ve seen go for Young. His pre-season form certainly deserves it. If Valencia is out injured for a while then e should get a good run of playing time. Bojan is another unknown but worth a punt.
Defense is a bit lightweight but that’s the price for a quality frontline. I’m sure there’ll be many more ‘drafts’ before next Saturday!
Cookie – that message was for you
SAF, yes there will be much tinkering before GW1 – I really want to get Yaya in there from GW1 if poss – a lot to keep an eye on between now and the start.
Foolishly I have no Man City ayers at all. Planning to swap Fabregas out for Silva in a few weeks but no doubt that plan will fail
SAF
You backing Pant over Mannone?
IS there perhaps no one better than Kane upfront?
Like the Evans punt actually
Cookie,
Did you see my question on the previous page?
Cheers.
What do you think?
Which do you prefer?
123, this team for me mate.
Thanks NZ
Displaying a rival site in another tab, how rude 😉
Great article. Really interesting. From what I can see, Caulker looks like a good bet to bag a few goals. Any one else got him in their squad?
SAF, talk to NIN. Hes in love! He’s on my watch list, his stats are certainly appealing. Its just whether QPR can be a solid unit.
Ok fantasy fwends, one name for you; BAINES! Ive never owned him in 6 years of playing the game but his stats are amazing, are he currently sits in my team. He rates as well as most midfielders. What are peoples thoughts on him? Is he a must have or too expensive. Im unsure on this one.
Going to leave him for now as the fixtures aren’t great and look to bring him in for week 8. Whether it is possible or not depends on who’s performing well and if there are some bargains to be had. At the moment i just can’t do it without downgrading the rest of my defense.
Villian, cheers. Whats your team looking like at present?
Sterling or Fabregas?
Already have Costa but no Liverpool coverage.
Personally Fabregas, unless the 0.5 could really help you out elsewhere?
