Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 14

Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 14

This evening sees the culmination of Groups E & F. It’s Group F to kick us off as Argentina meet Nigeria – Argentina have already qualified without being anywhere near their best, but a win for Nigeria would see the Africans secure top spot. However, should Nigeria lose and Iran can beat Bosnia then it’s all down to goal difference as to who goes through with the Argies.

The late night matches in Group E should also provide plenty of excitement and tension. The French have pretty much qualified – only an unlikely last game disaster and heavy defeat would see les Frogs eliminated. The more likely battle is for the other qualification place with both Ecuador and the Swiss battling to proceed – Ecuador currently hold the position but may well need to beat the French as one would expect the Swiss to defeat Honduras.

Thanks for reading Fantasy World Cup Live Match Day 14 – Good luck everyone!

Breaking news…. Fifa have charged the goofy twat with biting. It apparently will be resolved before Uruguays next game on Saturday.
Unbelievably, the minimum ban is only 2 games.
    Kick him out for life.

Just wondering what everyones cut off point is before making a sub in the McDs game?
I chopped 7 last game week for a handsome return of 3

Depends on the players remaining, but 7 generally.

      • photek says:

Cheers Tekno, i got Zab on the bench and i think he’ll get good points, just wondering on other peoples cut off point

      • Pippin says:

photek, depends also on who you are competing against too. In POTTY D, the margins are sufficiently tight that I’m very hesitant to ditch a player with a reasonable score. For example, last game week, I had Iniesta (6), replaced by Pjanic (6), replaced by KDB (5), replaced by Bentaleb (4), replaced (desperately) by Bedoya (4). Losing two points seemed annoying, but now looking at how close our group is, it could make the difference between getting through or not- I would tread carefully- 7 is not a bad score!

My benchmark is 7 for defenders and keepers, and 5 for midfielders.

In second round i ditched a midfielder with 5 points without any backup, and i got burned.

You should have decent back up as well before you ditch someone with a 7.

      • photek says:

        cheers guys.
Yeah Pippen it is suitibly tight in Potty A, i took out 2 players with combined 5 pts this morning and have dropped from 1st to 3rd now.
My back up B is Zabaleta, which is why i’m giving it thought because he has the potential to score well.

        • Pippin says:

how about a formation change? if you don’t have all your mids/forwards performing or playing yet, stick in Zabs. If he does well, keep him- if not, ditch him and switch the formations back?

        • photek says:

I’m worried to do a formation change because of previous problems on here with the wrong players getting subbed out. I’d be fuming if it took Neymar out on 32 pts
