What are people’s thoughts for the semis then? Brazil to struggle without Neymar & Silva? Can Robben & RvP strike vs the Argies, who will be without Di Maria…..?
Hoping for an all South American final. I think I would quite enjoy watching them two sides kick the shite out of each other and that’s before the game even starts.

Absolute hate one another. They are probably terrified to play each other, is bad enough to lose a world cup final, but to lose it to your bitter enemy would be catastrophic for the psyche of either. It would not be a pretty final as both would probably be scared shitless, but it would be entertaining watching the fans of both countries suffer. #pricks
Frankly I hope Argentina win even if they are the bigger pricks. I least they acknowledge their arrogance when they are being condescending. Brazilians are patronizing and the dumb feckers don’t even know it.
Argies are favs and I like it. Kun will be back but don’t know if he can be as important as Di Maria was. They’ll miss speed. Can’t say what will happen but in my opinion Robben will have a good match. RvP hasn’t been all that good, liked him in the first game, the rest of the games not so much.
Think if RvP has another bad game van Gaal will sub him after 60 minutes.

I see there is some chat that Di Jong has a small chance of playing on Wednesday – that would be a massive plus for you.
I think he could play the final, not Wednesday. We actually have another problem with Vlaar, he might be out. We’ll see today. Nothing too serious but he didn’t train yesterday.
If de Jong does play Wednesday that would be super. He brings something no other play can. Remember 4 years ago everybody talking about how aggressive the Dutch were in the finals (I remember the 2 fouls that should’ve been redcarded). Still, I have seen much and much worse this worldcup and the FIFA ain’t doing nothing about that shit. It’s like double legbreak galore this worldcup. No we can’t bite but we can break some legs/backs. 😛
For me it’s anyones game really. Glad most people are writing the Dutch off because of the Costa Rica game. All I notice is that against the stronger opponents we did better than against the weaker ones. If you look at the list of countries we play: Spain, Australia, Chili, Mexico and Costa Rica. You’d think Spain and Chill be the hardest opponents but in reality Australia, Mexico and Costa Rica were. We gave 0 chances away against Chili (whom I consider to be one of the top countries this WC, together with Colombia) and we scored 2 goals.
If van Gaal does go back to 5-3-2 like he did in the first games I think we stand a good chance. The Belgians lost because they showed lack of spirit/believe. With a better coach they would’ve won that match. Also, don’t give away a goal in the first 20 minutes, you just know countries like Argentina and Germany will try to kill the game entirely.
Football wise not the best worldcup, but if you look at how close it is this is maybe one of the best worldcups I have ever seen. I rather see a real competitive worldcup than a boring one were Spain dominates the rest of the world with Tic Tac football and theatre.
Really fancy Germany to get through. I was impressed with Brazil the other night but without those 2 I think they will struggle and the Germans will be a bit more calculated in their approach.
I think the other one is very close to call and may just depend on which pair of strikers has the better night.
I quite fancy the germans in their SF, the loss of Neymar & Thiago i think is just too much for them. Fred and Hulk haven’t really done alot in this tournament so far, i’m struggling to see where the goals will come from.
The other SF is a very tight call, i’m not sure which way this one will go. I will have vested interest in both teams (fantasy player wise) whereas in the other semi i’ll be heavy with German players.
Don’t forget Brazil is playing with 13. 😉

How are people approaching these games with their squads then? I’ve got 14 players and 2 keepers at the moment.
I have 15 with 2 keepers at the mo mate, but it could change. Well, it will defo change as there is no way I can go 24 hours without serious tinkering!
I would prefer 15 myself but all these German defenders are eating up my budget!
