FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 12

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 12. Hmmmm, our slide into mediocrity accelerated in GW11 as we scored 43pts (vs an average of 44) which was a GW rank of 2,847,986, giving us a new global rank of 406,870. Bizarrely this was the second clean sheet in a row for Alonso and Chelsea – clearly his success does not reflect to us – when we score well he doesn’t, when he does we don’t. We are clearly not meant to be together. Our City trio of Sterling, Silva and Jesus scored 5 each which is symmetrically pleasing, while Richarlison scored again and would have contributed more if Young Tom had not missed the penalty that our Brazilian hero won.
The rest were rubbish – Kane (c) was another Wembley disaster – a true Englishman indeed. It’s been a long fortnight as the team licks its wounds and tries to do away with Alonso. Sadly, at the time of writing, all our squad remain intact. And Alonso is grinning from ear to ear. The ****.

Last weeks ‘result’…

This week we’re banking our transfer
The only transfer which was discussed at any stage during the current break was Ben Davies to Phil Jones. With the news that Jose Mourinho, the same Jose Mourinho who doesn’t talk about injured players, was furious over England’s treatment of Phil Jones and that as a result Jones is set to miss the Newcastle game we’ve shelved that idea. Knowing our luck, Jonesy will start this weekend and score! We don’t actually believe a word Jose says and he is clearly being a bit of a ‘told you so t*t’ here but on the basis that he is unlikely to contradict himself in the press conference we will play and safe and not buy him.

The rest of the team pretty much picks itself. It’s looking a little reliant on surviving Man City rotation but we are willing to risk that this week with Silva being almost nailed on anyway and Sterling having had a convenient international break injury / rest (delete as you see fit to believe) and Jesus hasn’t had his usual long haul flights to deal with. And may well benefit from any Kun uncertainty. Davies remains our risky pick but it’s come what may with that one. The wildcard stays intact for another week then. We will use it one week, we promise!

The team in full
And so this is how we line up ahead of GW12…

Our Captain is Harry Kane
No one else got a vote. However, after scrolling back through our inspiring WhatsApp chat it would appear that only three of us actually voted! Not that this matters as with three votes Kane had it won. Given Kane’s goalscoring form away from home our choice will hardly come as a surprise. He’s also scored six times in the last five league encounters between the two sides.

  1. Morning! So glad the international break is over!

I brought in Lukaku and Dunk for Jesus and Monreal ahead of this GW.

And I’ve got to say, I’m feeling good about my power 3 up front!

    • 2 good transfers, that’s a great team. It could be be a large points haul for you this week.

  2. I thought the wildcard might have been activated

    • One day, one day… smile Looks ok ish again for this week. Assuming the City lads play. Guess we are just waiting for that week when we pick the 11 and either can’t through injury or look at it and say yeah that’s crap this week in terms of fixtures. Having gone this long without using it I think we may go as close to Christmas as possible and grab a fully fit and playing 15 ahead of it.

  3. Site team looks pretty good for gw12. On a separate note, price changes seems to be pretty active this morning. I’ve missed the boat on Mee, opted for Lowton instead. >.<

    • I have Lowton I took him a couple of weeks back when Mee was going to drop and Lowton was close to rising. How things have changed hopefully not much between them

      • yeah, i guess not much to choose between the two. Hopefully Lowton can get a couple of assist in as well.

  4. I think site team should go to WC now. Look not good at this moment.

  5. Morning all. Does this look set for the weekend?

    • I’d say so yeah SAF.

    • Pretty much SAFs. Depends on Kun of course. He has declared himself fit. Which is great. But also still a far cry from Pep doing so as we know!

      Looks good, good luck.

    • Strong team there

    • Thanks everyone. I hope you’re right

  6. Morning.
Currently on my WC. Pretty much settled but which of these do u prefer? The 1st has 0.3 ITB so enough to change Smalling to Jones when fit. 2nd has Mee and Simpson rotating as the 3rd defender with 0.4 ITB.

    • 2nd

      • Milbs if that was me I’d go for the 2nd only I’d plop Lukaku in place of Kun and leave the cash to reverse that in 2 weeks.

    • There’s not much in those teams. I think I’d still take Jones over Smalling. You have Mee anyway. Think I’d want a full squad on a wild card with December approaching especially with Pep about

      • Cheers lads. Smash if I go with the 2nd team I’ll need Mee to start as well as a 3rd defender and don’t fancy Simpson against City. I could afford Stones instead of Smalling. Then turn him into Jones when fit?
