FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 20
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 20. In a week where some scored over 100 or at least very close to it, we scored 81. Still way above the average of 60 so we should be pleased and it has seen us rise us to a season’s best rank of 107,751. Highlights were a Kane hat-trick, the usual goal and assist for Salah, clean sheets for Christensen, Otamendi and Dunk and a captain’s performance from Sterling. Sadly Begovic, Masuaku, Hazard, Richarlison and Shaqiri scored the grand total of 8pts between them so we expect some payback from them this week.

We have held our transfer this week
We had actually planned to sell Lowton for Jones but a cheeky and ill-timed price rise for United’s finest meant we were just short of cash. We are reliant on Rooney playing and given he was pictured visiting sick kids at the hospital on Christmas Eve, we assume he has recovered from his virus… for as much as for the kids’ sake as ours.
There was a suggestion to sell Niasse for Crouchy… which would have given us some cash but it was decided very quickly that two transfers next week would be more useful than swapping one bench warmer for another.

Unanimous(ish) – there was a vote for Salah but he was quickly shouted down by the majority of the committee. Let’s hope for another hatty then Harold, or will he just troll us again?!

Am I safer going with Gomez or Robertson? Who is a safer starter?
Robertson should be given Moreno is out for 6 weeks or so, and is pretty useless when fit. I would expect Gomez to be rotated with Alexander-Arnold over the Christmas fixtures. Gomez had a shocker against Arsenal too.

Personally, I would not consider either…
4.7 or lower defender then? That’s the budget for the plan going forward. They do play easy home game next
Perhaps Robertson is a good option for you then. I like Ogbonna if you can play a team without him in game week 21.
Do we think Firmino will start against Swansea?
If not, then should I take him out for Vardy/Rashford, because I play WC anyway next week.
Dont have a very strong bench to rely on in case Firmino misses.
That’s a good question, I’m not sure anyone could say with certainly he will or will not play. If you need to be sure then Vardy is a good option but hasn’t been scoring as much as he should this year.

If you get Jones, who will you bench?
You already have double Chelsea, do you really want double Utd? Plus that is a lot invested in defense. I would look to save or take out Murray, 5.8m is too much for a striker that may have lost his starting birth permanently.

Im not sure who to bring in for Austin, any advice greatly appreciated. 1ft 0.4itb.
Austims value to me is 6.1 so leaves me with 6.5 to play with
I was in the same boat and went for Depoitre, it doesn’t feel sexy I can assure you.
I was happy to keep Austin long-term so was a bit miffed losing him at Christmas. Wilson could be a sneaky alternative since Defoe is now injured, but Depoitre’s form and more importantly fixtures swayed it for me. I’m not a Calvert-Lewin fan, plus Everton will surely buy another striker in Jan. I will likely look to bring Austin back in when possible.
Quaner is a good option too in order to switch up to 3-5-2. I nearly did that but consider Loftus-Cheek great value at his price and didn’t want to loose.

Thats a nice looking team with value spread out.
I do not believe Monreal will start against Palace and would expect Gomez to be rested/dropped also. I couldn’t argue with that switch but holding a transfer this time of year is always useful. I am forced to play Mee which is far from ideal.
Hold your ft Swirls, 2fts next gw will be of great value.
