FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 23

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 23. Christmas, Santa Claus, Happiness, Elves, Reindeers with red noses, Joy, Kids with presents, New Year rejoicing, time with families.

Yeah, whatever…

Means nothing when you check back in and have 3 red arrows out of 4.

If we could say we got too drunk and missed a deadline or capped the wrong player then that’d be better, but we didn’t. We were diligent, we had the discussions. We just got it wrong. And sometimes you can just try too hard! We’ve dropped from 146k to 219k since the last time we spoke to you.

On the positive side we were delighted by how many people, both on the site and twitter, actually complained about the lack of an article each week! We did as a result post the team in the comments each time and Hot Comment it. We just hope you didn’t follow our advice too closely!

Onto this weeks comeback…

Last weeks result…

This weeks transfer(s)… sold Alli & Rooney and bought Lingard and Aguero
Hated by half the committee but we welcome Uncle Jesse into our team. It seems strange to lose Alli for a hit in front of Spurs home match vs Everton but the lure of Lingard was just too much with United facing rudderless Stoke on Monday evening. Oh yeah it meant we could afford Kun too which in all seriousness seemed a bit of a no-brainer as a front three of Wazza, Niasse and Kane was maybe putting too much pressure on Harry each week. Which probably explains his lack of everything in DGW22. So despite the hit we think we’ve solved our attacking problem for now, though Niasse will just have to sit tight for a while and we hope he gets one of the moves that is currently being bounded around by the gutter press.

Our captain is Harry Kane
Stone the crows that was close. With the author having the casting vote it was 2-2 between Kane and Jesse. There was a serious chance of us skippering Monday night’s superstar to be. Jesse has gone from villain to hero. Sadly for the dabber, Kane received the final vote and he had better friggin’ turn up unlike in DGW22 otherwise I hate to think what will happen at FF247 HQ if Kane’s head cold has returned, and don’t rule it out with a nose like that, then we really will have some fun on Monday evening!

    The FF247 Site Team returns after it’s little Christmas break. And it’s still somewhat worse for wear by the looks of it smile

    On a completely separate note, genuine question this – has anyone not heard of Chris Rock?!?!

  2. Good moves here, I think. What did perhaps surprise me is that Lingard was the trigger here. I’m debating similar moves (Alli/Erik and Morata) but if I were to do it it’d be to get Kun, not Uncle Jesse. He’s just that Tim Sherwood kind of player if you know what I mean!

    • Save the FT and next gw Vertonghen + Chupo-Moting to Stones + Lingard?

      GW25, Son to D Silva when the fixtures gets crazy for Spurs
