FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 28

Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team Gameweek 28. Stop the clock, we had a good week! We scored 86pts, alright, alright we know many of you scored more, but we enjoyed a rise of 37k places as we rise to 221k. Still a lot of work to be done of course, but the big weeks are still to come (we say in hope!) If we had only played Niasse instead of Lingard we’d have scored ten points more. Then again if we had played Niasse he would have got injured kicking off knowing our misfortune.

We didn’t captain Aguero which was also a blow but Salah did ok the day after. Oh what could have been! Oh and Alonso… guaranteed clean sheet and yet the nobhead twists his ankle and misses the points. Tosser. Other highlights were Firmino (12), Shaqiri (10) and Sterling (8) while new signing Walcott can frankly go do one… along with our defenders and Begovic – those five managed 7pts between them.

We have cash in the bank, the squad is confident and determined – seemingly they are unaware the grim reaper is sniffing around.

Last weeks result…

This weeks transfer…
SOLD: Aguero and BOUGHT: Kane

Yes, we’ve done it. We’ve sold Sergio Aguero less than two weeks after he scored 4 goals against Leicester. When we sold Kane ahead of GW25 we did say that the plan was to bring him back into the fold ahead of GW28, and we also said at that stage that the fall guy was likely to be Aguero. You might think that there would have been some discussion surrounding this transfer but you’d be wrong. The transfer was suggested and was immediately backed by another three members of the management team. The final member of the team never did cast his vote which will allow him to blame the rest of us should the transfer backfire.

The sale of Kane didn’t hurt us and we’re obviously hoping for a similar result from this transfer! The fixtures are certainly in our favour. Ahead of BGW31 City travel to Arsenal & Stoke and entertain Chelsea. City have scored 50 goals at home compared to 29 away while Kun has scored 15 of his 21 goals at the Etihad. Hopefully these trends continue. Spurs on the other hand travel to Palace & Bournemouth, and host Huddersfield ahead of BGW31 when in all likelihood they will also blank. Both Spurs’ and Kane’s goals are quite evenly split between home and away.

We also feel that there may be half a chance that Kun gets a rest (finally) on Thursday after the Cup Final and ahead of Chelsea at the weekend but that probably depends on Jesus appearing at the weekend. Nobody knows but it is a distinct possibility.

The team in full

Our captain is Mo Salah
As dear old Cilla would have said, “Surprise, Surprise”!

Kane did get 1 vote but it was a voice in the wilderness as Salah was the unanimous choice from the rest of the panel. Then again it was a vote from the same voice who wanted it on Aguero last week and lost out then too, soooooooo……..

  1. Neither Davies nor Stanislas!? Shocking

  2. On WC, any suggestions?

    • Hi mate. I’d probably day you have the BGW31 lot sufficiently covered. Cuco won’t play for much longer. I’m not sure how you could keep an Everton defender though. Pickford and Bauer for Butland and Cuco would cover the same teams ad I think they are the same price. I know City have bad fixtures, but none of them seems risky to me.

    • Hey Bear,

A well balanced team that covers 31. I would suggest having a plan for Gunners as you dont have a wildcard. AS AT said, you are well covered for 31 so maybe look for team you want to keep till the end of the season. Will Lawton continue to start?

      • I think he should NZ. Bardsley shouldn’t pose a threat!

        • He could be a great shout at 4.3 then. Is Bardsley more of a backup player then? I know little about their defence.

        • If he isn’t, he should he 😆

        • Haha, that bad?!

        • Be*

I brought Bardsley into my team before seeing him play. Was a very ropey move looking back on it laugh

  3. Morning!!!!

    Am I good to go?

    • Hello Mitro, good looking team that pal! You certainly are smile

      • Morning Alex,

Keep on thinking to do ota to Davies for a -4?

        How’s your team looking? capo?

        • Scroll down Mitro, you’ll see my debate! It’s a great move pal, over the next 3 weeks I’d say you’ll make the points back but it’s taboo to take a hit for a defender so go with your gut!

        • I binned Jones for Davies for a hit

        • Done it!! Fingers crossed it pays off!!

  4. Morning all should I do anything with this lot I’m I set up probably

  5. Morning all. Good to go? TEmpted to go for a hit and do lingard to shaqiri or jones to Davies/Maguire. Any suggestions?

    • Or lingard to Stanislas.

      • eresh

Don’t see any of those really being that attractive for a hit to be honest.

      • Stanislas hype. I’m creating a movement 😆

        • Haha. You planning to get him for the bgw in the next few weeks?

        • Bought him this week, for a hit! 😆
I had Bernardo and Jones though, neither of whom I expect to play. I could not have justified it in your position.

        • Wow. Best of luck mate.

If you were in my position and had to take a hit, who would you go for.

        • For a hit? As GP said, I don’t by think I would

  6. Morning gents. Shout out for all this week’s writers. Debating selling Kun for Firmino. Would you do it? Or just bank it? 1FT, 0.2.
    Cheers

    • Morning DMC, just done that same move!

    • Good looking squad mate. He might be rotated this Thursday so I’d say go with firmino.

    • Id probably make that move tbh

Risk of aguero being rested and the bgw aswell

    • Do it.
