Plan B.
Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW13.
They say a week is a long time in politics, which must therefore translate to ‘a fortnight must be a lifetime in FPL’ for two cracking game-weeks has taken us from a season long low in GW10 to a season’s best rank after GW12. Like many we were indebted to our Leicester coverage for our success. New recruit and insta-captain Vardy returned 24pts while Soyuncu at the back weighed in with an 8pter. Goals from Mane, Abraham and Jimenez and at last a clean sheet from Pope saw us score 75pts and we now have a global rank of 25,280th. And we still have two free transfers to use this week! Therefore, all is looking positive and rosy, what could possibly go wrong?!
Our GW12 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided…
Our GW13 Transfer(s)
Not only did we have two free transfers but we also had a whopping £3.3m in the bank to play with after our recent ‘fund raising’ activities. Which is where the fun began this week because not one of us could actually remember who we were saving up for! You’ll have to forgive us, it’s been a long IB and we are getting older!
We have some semblance of recall that it may have been KDB but if it was then we must have been relying on some interest payments because we are still short of that one unless we let another big asset go and we are perfectly happy with all of those right now. In theory Digne could have left along with Mount or McGinn to accommodate it but in all honesty we like the fixtures of all three this week, for varying reasons.
Onto Plan B then and the one thing we do seem to have been lacking / missing out on a bit is some Liverpool full-back cover, or a 5th / 6th midfielder as some prefer to think of them as. With Liverpool’s upcoming fixtures looking favourable in terms of both goals and potential clean sheets we have decided to invest some of our cash at the back. Ideally we would have sold Lucas Digne as his and Everton’s fixtures go in completely the opposite direction after this week, but with Norwich at home he has a final reprieve before we most likely wave him on his merry way next week. Given as we already have Pope in goal and seem to be showing little desire to ever actually double up with both him and Pieters then it was decided that the latter should leave.
So just the one transfer which means that we will arrive with two of the bad boys again next week.
To confirm then we have SOLD Erik Pieters and BOUGHT Trent Alexander-Arnold
Captain – Jamie Vardy
As obvious as this one sounds the vote was actually split with both he and Sterling getting 50% a-piece initially, before one of Raheem’s fans had a last minute change of mind, and so Vardy takes our armband down to Brighton to hopefully wreak havoc once more. And put us on a par with the other 95% of people who will have it on him…..

I’ll join in then. Here’s my rabble.
My thinking was Gross to McGinn this week & Jimenez to Vardy next. Could do both this week for a hit.
I’ve deliberately kept Auba for the next 2 (possibly 4 fixtures).
But all ideas welcome!
Cheers
McGinn looks good for this week but perhaps less so after that? Can you afford Pérez instead?
Yeah I’m just not convinced by him. McGinn’s next 3 are not great on paper, but maybe not as bad in reality?
Maybe I should think about Perez.
My only issue with Pérez is whether he is the one sacrificed in the more difficult games, but they don’t have many of those on the horizon. I do have McGinn myself though and yes he’s staying throughout. Feels like he’s a goal waiting to happen with his shoot on sight policy plus his ability to arrive in the box at the right time.
Not really a fan of Perez either Cooks
Harvey Barnes?
I’m a bit wary on Perez all his points came in just one game which was basically playing against a hungover Sunday league side
Cookie, please don’t get Pérez!
Any picks for this week?? Unsure on Pulsic fitness, looks like he may be out but is it worth keeping him on the bench? Lascelles and Auba are other concerns. With 2FT and 0.3m in the bank are there any good moves to be considered??? Any help greatly appreciated :))))
Because you’ve already got PEA I deff would look at getting rid of him, Arsenal’s next 3 GWs look pretty good.
*wouldn’t look
Use 1 FT to take care of Lascelles and hold the other FT. Maybe Clark? Can save an extra 0.1 mil there for 2 FT next week.
Always a nice kick in the teeth to see the site team is doing so well. Just shows my terrible OR really is MY fauly :suicide:
So I decided to WC back when the IB started and have basically just been playing the price rises for the last 2 weeks. With games finally coming after the last 2019 IB, I look at my team and am actually think, “hey this aint too bad, maybe I should go with it.” Of course after realising my OR really is my fault I thought I’d better get some tips from the pros
So any thoughts on the WC team below? Im not really happy with double full Chelsea + Leciester cover 😯
Also i’m actually thinking of Mcgin->Wijnaldun (Liv) and not really sure what to do with Pope . . . Keep or ????
Would you be happy with this WC 11?
Would love some thoughts. Cheers guys and Gals
Start Lundstram over Tomori and McGinn 1st sub.
Else team looks good.
Mcginn to Dendoncker and Mount yo Martial does that work. Think I’d have Gazanigga or Ryan over Pope on wildcard
Pope to Gazza- done.
How does the starting eleven look?
Any suggestions?
Think I’d play Lundstram over Chambers (who I don’t think plays) and Doherty. Though think I would have sold Doherty. Looks good on the whole
Cheers Smash. Taking a risk on Chambers given his fixture. Also, Lundstram contradicts Martial. may be i’d play him anyways at last.
I think Doherty could do good against B’mouth defence, if he plays his usual position. Or else,i’ll be happy if Wolves could just keep the CS.
How’s your planning going?
I can’t see Wolves keeping a clean sheet at Bournemouth. Yeah there is the contradiction there or hedging your bets whichever way you look at it. It’s pretty close regardless and can easily go either way. I have a few options I’m really unsure tbh. I would not mind bringing in Martial. When he’s plYed he tends to get returns
Yes Smash. Martial seems to be pivotal for Utd attack. He’s like D.Silva for them. Barring Spurs and City fixture, Utd have decent fixtures till Christmas period.
I think Doherty shall anyways be out the next week. I am planning to get TAA + Ayew for Doherty and Deulofeu. Palace have awesome next 7-8 fixtures.
Yeah I like that plan
Morning all. I have one free transfer and 0.6 itb. Thinking of holding off any moves this week. What do you think gang?
Good team there Neilos. Roll over the FT i think..
Cheers Constantine.
Your team looks good too
Strong team easy hold
Cheers Smash.
Roll FT.
Morning guys, hope you are all having a good week. This is my team
For a -4 I could do this. What do you think?
CHO to Martial and roll other transfer. Still think I’d prefer one of the City assets over Kane who will be more defensive under Jose. I’d be interested to see if Kane drops deep under Mourinho first.
Or I could just transfer Cantwell and CHO out, and maybe get mount and maddison, might give me a bench headache though.
Can’t afford this so can’t do that.
Could you roll a transfer over?
Yeah, I have 2 at moment and 2.7 in bank.
I like what innit has done with his team, but I need to get rid of sterling or kdb to do it.
Then the one above with the hit looks good.
