FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW13
Plan B.
Welcome to FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW13.
They say a week is a long time in politics, which must therefore translate to ‘a fortnight must be a lifetime in FPL’ for two cracking game-weeks has taken us from a season long low in GW10 to a season’s best rank after GW12. Like many we were indebted to our Leicester coverage for our success. New recruit and insta-captain Vardy returned 24pts while Soyuncu at the back weighed in with an 8pter. Goals from Mane, Abraham and Jimenez and at last a clean sheet from Pope saw us score 75pts and we now have a global rank of 25,280th. And we still have two free transfers to use this week! Therefore, all is looking positive and rosy, what could possibly go wrong?!
Our GW12 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided…
Our GW13 Transfer(s)
Not only did we have two free transfers but we also had a whopping £3.3m in the bank to play with after our recent ‘fund raising’ activities. Which is where the fun began this week because not one of us could actually remember who we were saving up for! You’ll have to forgive us, it’s been a long IB and we are getting older!
We have some semblance of recall that it may have been KDB but if it was then we must have been relying on some interest payments because we are still short of that one unless we let another big asset go and we are perfectly happy with all of those right now. In theory Digne could have left along with Mount or McGinn to accommodate it but in all honesty we like the fixtures of all three this week, for varying reasons.
Onto Plan B then and the one thing we do seem to have been lacking / missing out on a bit is some Liverpool full-back cover, or a 5th / 6th midfielder as some prefer to think of them as. With Liverpool’s upcoming fixtures looking favourable in terms of both goals and potential clean sheets we have decided to invest some of our cash at the back. Ideally we would have sold Lucas Digne as his and Everton’s fixtures go in completely the opposite direction after this week, but with Norwich at home he has a final reprieve before we most likely wave him on his merry way next week. Given as we already have Pope in goal and seem to be showing little desire to ever actually double up with both him and Pieters then it was decided that the latter should leave.
So just the one transfer which means that we will arrive with two of the bad boys again next week.
To confirm then we have SOLD Erik Pieters and BOUGHT Trent Alexander-Arnold
Captain – Jamie Vardy
As obvious as this one sounds the vote was actually split with both he and Sterling getting 50% a-piece initially, before one of Raheem’s fans had a last minute change of mind, and so Vardy takes our armband down to Brighton to hopefully wreak havoc once more. And put us on a par with the other 95% of people who will have it on him…..

Guys am I good to go here. I’ve already used my free transfer.
G2g manu
Yeah decent team that
Thanks guys.
for gw 13 Button, cantwell, and Kelly on bench. now you have to decide between Janmaat and Pieters to join them. it is 50/50. if i were you, i i would play Janmaat.
Pieters is going to be on the bench, I was even contemplating selling him for TAA for a hit, but may hold off til next week
Hi all. Been away all week on family matters so have been totally out of the loop as to what’s been happening fpl wise.
Not too sure about my team this week, with 0 ft I think I may just ride it out 😆
I’d start Mount ahead of Rico
i would bench wan-bissaka instead.
and play Mount, i.e.
Play Mount, bench Rico
Anyone else worried that Brighton will park the bus at home especially without their usual CBs ?
Asking since they learnt a lesson trying to take the game to United. Surely they must’ve learnt their lesson?
Planning on capping Vardy this week like most. Or is everyone on Sterling? Innit? :mosking:
I’m on Sterling as don’t think Brighton are that leaky or bad at home. I could be wrong but Vardy is in red hot form and you would expect Leicester to win
Not you too mate :close_tema:
Vardy here and I voted for him in the site team meeting but that exact point was raised in that by a couple of people who went for Sterling instead.
I would’ve rested easy knowing I was the only guy who thought that.
I watched the United game and i feel Brighton learnt their lesson after conceding 3 vs a side that finds it hard to score more than 1 in a game.
I’m afrain it might be a lot like what happens when city played the Saints after they lost 9-0.
Then again that was city.
The captaincy this season has been more of an issue than the actual team itself.
I also voted Vardy for the site team but I may yet go Sterling on my own team as I expect that to be a much more open game.
I’d consider Sterling too if I knew which city side planned to turn up.
I hate Sterling playing near the byline
Though have just seen this
Vardy’s away record under Rodgers
Non-“top 6” only
Crystal Palace ⚽️
Southampton ⚽️⚽️⚽️️
Sheff Utd ⚽️
West Ham ⚽️
Huddersfield ⚽️⚽️
Burnley ❌
Watford ⚽️
9⚽️ & 1️ in 7 matches
9 goals and one assist basically in 7 games
That settles it then….I hope.
A bit stuck here with what to do. Might hold – only have 0.3 ITB and plan is to shift Auba next week to free up some cash to upgrade Dendon/Cantwell. But also got some dud defenders (Pieters/Webster). Thoughts?
I think that that sounds like a decent plan ziddy.
Thanks. Dendonker v Bou (a), Pieters v Wat (a) or Cantwell v Eve (a)?
Pieters I think
Sounds like a good plan
Are people sticking with Mount?
With Abraham and Vardy, do I stick with Mount or shift to Barnes?
I’d prefer Mount to Barnes but there’s a cash difference there
For the time being I’m on Mount. But if Pulisic becomes more nailed on, I’d try getting him in for Mount with the cash I’d free up with Sterling/De Bruyne
Got a couple of weeks to decide that.
Right getting to the stage where I need to make some sort of decision I really need help. Feel pretty indecisive what to do. I have two free transfers with one million in the bank and I hate having spare cash.
With Salah struggling still with this ankle injury and form probably as a result is a bit of a concern now. I have to admit I prefer Salah as a player.
A) Mane and Martial in for Salah and Mount
B) Barnes and Greenwood in for Connolly and Cantwell
C) Mane in for Salah and save (it’s a bit boring)
D) Jimenez and Martial in for KDB and Connolly
E) Jimenez, Martial and Mane in for KDB, Salah and Connolly (-4)
F) I’m completely wrong or someone had a much better idea?
A for me Smash
Smash, I’d do the Salah to Mane and leave it at that.
I wouldnt take Martial out for Mount, not this week at least.
I wouldn’t mind having 2 FT every week what with the busy fixture schedule coming up.
Mane with Ayew? CP have awesome set of future fixtures..
