FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW15
Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW15. Hmmm, we don’t quite know what to make of that past week. 9 of our 11 posted some sort of return, albeit a modest one. Patricio and Richarlison aside every other player scored 5 or above, which is usually a good sign. The problem was that only one of those actually broke the six point barrier and that was Doherty… with 7. We didn’t even get to see our captain play as Kun took the day off, as did our vice-captain Salah, in an ironically different fashion. All in all then we landed on 55 points which was 6 above the average but still meant a minor red arrow for us as we fell 2k in the overall rankings to 60,606th. Last weeks transfer of Sane in for Lucas Moura was looking promising until FPL Towers deemed his ‘first assist’ not to be one, despite all evidence to the contrary. His shot was downgraded to a ‘cross/pass’. Pass. Idiots.
Anyhow, onwards and upwards, two weeks ago we promised you a Hazard transfer and ultimately decided against it. Last week we promised you a Kane transfer…. Let’s go see how close we came to keeping our word this time!
Last weeks result in full…
This weeks transfer decision(s)
For once we are actually going to push through and do what we said we would. No drama or excitement this week, a simple vote with a clear outcome sees Kane come in for Aguero. For what it’s worth Aubameyang did garner one vote as an alternative but the majority felt that Kane at home against Southampton was too good an opportunity to pass up, although we’ve all been here before with Kane in the recent past haven’t we?! The decision itself was dealt a small blow this morning once it was announced that Saints are now sans the ball and chain that is Mark Hughes.
We detailed our Kun to Kane justification last week and that all still stands so we won’t repeat ourselves. Well ok, we will, literally – “It’s long been told that Spurs’ fixtures turn for the better come GW15 and this does indeed seem to be the case with Southampton (H), Leicester (A) and Burnley (H) as their next 3 after this weekend as well as then facing Bournemouth and Wolves at home and Cardiff away over the Christmas period. But how on earth can we afford a 2nd premium striker without killing half of our midfield and 2 of our defenders? Truth is we probably can’t and so we need a sacrificial lamb and that comes in the shape of Aguero for us (*gulp). When we delve into his fixtures versus the Kane ones above we see that he has Watford and Chelsea away after this week followed by a potentially challenging Everton tie, albeit at home. Kun has been a bit ‘meh’ away from home whereas we can see Kane being captaincy material in a good few of his games”. Plus he’s potentially injured. Farewell for a bit Sergio…
To confirm then we have… SOLD: AGUERO & BOUGHT: KANE
Our Captain is Harry Kane
Little surprise here then with the strength of fixture and Kane has returned in his last four games now, and none of them were quite as ‘easy’ as Southampton at home. Fool me once and all that…
Salah gets our Vice band if the unthinkable happens and Kane is rested.

Hi all. Potential WC team. Might not be able to delay any longer w/ a string of poor scores and falling rather behind in MLs! Not quite happy w/ it so would kindly like some feedback. Thanks!
Fabianski / 4.0
Alonso / Robbo / Obi-Wan-B / Schindler / 3.9
Sterling / Sane / Fraser / Felipe Anderson / Hogg
Kane / Auba / Chicharito
.
Chica could work short term but long term I’m not convinced. Maybe Dilva for Sane and Arnie in for him?
Yeah, that’s defo one risk w/ Chicha. You think triple West Ham (of all teams) is wise, even w/ their ‘favorable’ fixtures?
Not sure but there’s definitely a positive individual argument for each pick, in isolation.
Also, haven’t only watched Chelski through highlights but someone was mentioning Alonso not getting into the box as much these past games?! Could ‘downgrade’ Alonso–>Azpi to raise a few extra quid also. But it’s Alonso tho!!
Downgrading him was my other suggestion. The one I didn’t actually mention!
Yeah, both downgrades could work ok. Kane enough cover from Spurs? Would you be tempted by Eriksen/Son and/or Davies?
And obviously NO SALAH! Feel he is not quite worth his price although has been scoring pretty consistently. No bonus points nor do I see him as explosive as last season so I feel just little risk dropping him!
FC Sanchez, I took that calculated risk with WHU based on “the fixtures are excellent” on paper, all the way up to mid January. It all remains to see if that will work out positively.
Ivan — right? I feel it could work also! Is this a recent WC?
I wouldn’t have Salah on a WC for what it’s worth. Looked at one before and the balance is wrong with him in, given his price and returns.
Yeah, that’s the conclusion I came to Init. If anyone from Pool mf, then mane or shaqira. Anyway, cheers! What transfer(s) are you thinking?
Yes Sanchez, I used it during the last IB. Decided to do a bit of an experiment with pool free team and see how it goes. So far, can’t estimate if that was a good idea but will show up soon.
As they (both Salah and the team as a whole) are not as explosive as last year, I don’t see why not! Klopp did mention he might change things up in the second half of the season but who knows when, and if it will be that easy!
Yeah, that was my main argument. Salah is miles away from what he used to be last season and that price tag is not right. Realistically, you can expect better returns from Shaqiri who is less than half of his price.
Yeah, Shaquiri is sliding into the team nicely! He should have scored last game as well!
Any suggestions for this lot? 2FT and 1.2 in the bank
You need to decide whether to get Auba, Kane, or a nerveless move for Wilson.
(Wilson if you want Salah.)
You could get Eriksen and Kane then move the latter on for Auba. Depends if you want to retain Liverpool cover. Or jusr run with Kane for a bit, see where he takes you.
Sané and Martial are other potential Mané replacements.
Or just do the Kane move and let the bench take care of the rest and hope Mané is back for the weekend. If indeed his injury means no Burnley.
Kun to PEA or
Kun > Kane + Mane > Shaqiri???
Not sure what to make of the Mane rumours.
See if he trains tomorrow or whatever. I’d prefer Kane for this week myself, if possible.
Kun to Auba, and Mane to Eriksen?
Hi guys

In
Salah

??
Open to diff sets of advice.
Thanks
Have you got your team handy please S2k?
Hey good folks!
Squeaky bum time… well not quite but it’s wild card time.
Been tinkering and have sort of settled on the team.
But can’t decide between
1.) Richardlison and Jaminez
Or
2.) Son and success
Any thoughts?
Just decided on tripling west ham – Hennessey for fab lol
Nice team lsd
Thanks Cookie!
You could always plonk Richarlison in there for Mane temporarily.
Any suggestions on the below two options guys? 2 FT this week.
a) Kun + Hazard -> Kane + Sane
b) Kun + Hazard -> Auba + Sterling
Here is my current team –
Patricio
Laporte, Alonso, Robbo
Salah, Hazard, Richarlison, Brooks
Kun, Arnie, Wilson
Button, W-B, Bennett, Hojbjerg
The one with Sterling
+1
Tough, because Sterling might get benched and Kane has very plum fixtures up until February including a 3 home game stand..so could potentially be one less transfer to worry about
For me, it’s Kane but Sterling is also essential. Might want to think about Salah out for Sterling after Burnley. Salah is incredible but not worth the price when to comes to FPL points vs. Sterling (Sterling is top scoring player yet has been benched in two PL matches thus far)
