Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW23.
Our score of 65 in GW22 saw us record our first red arrow in seven weeks, despite us beating the average of 57. This is what a failed captain (Salah), a blanking goalkeeper (McCarthy) and failures on the part of Dallas and Targett (one point apiece) brings. Luckily for us everyone else delivered – the mandatory clean sheet for Dias, assists aplenty for Grealish, Gundogan, Bamford and Antonio while Bingo Bruno was the stand out with the full house of goal, assist(s) and clean sheet.
The red arrow takes us back to 967,981 but with 2 free transfers, a wildcard in hand and double game-weeks coming up we’re confident of a strong finish.

Our GW23 Transfer(s)
With two free transfers we’ve going big on the Burnley backline, buying Pope and Lowton for Forster and the out of favour Chilwell. This is mainly with an eye on their newly announced DGW in which they have fairly favourable fixtures. Both also come straight into our team this week as they welcome Brighton. We have kept McCarthy, not only for comedy value, but also because Saints are likely to have a couple of DGW’s of their own soon.
To confirm then we have SOLD Forster & Chilwell and BOUGHT Pope & Lowton

Our captain is Bruno as we look to him to add to last week’s impressive tally. Our vice-captain is Antonio.

Would you play ings or soucek?

Tough one. I could see Saints trying to get a response after the 9-0 so Ings might be on for a great game. Soucek is in form though. I’d possibly go Ings as I think he has the higher ceiling.

I cannot afford Stones, I think I will leave it as it is, there is a good balance with Justin and I still have my FH for any DGW where a few teams have two games.

Agree. This really hurts though, I took him in on a hit after he looked to have regained a bit of form. Alas. Should have avoided like the plauge… Liverpool are so difficult to follow this season :wacko:

OK, brought in Pope as planned. Do I play him over Martinez? And, do I stay with Soucek instead of DCL?

I would play Pope yeah.
Benching one is difficult. Don’t know.

The Martinez vs Pope argument is difficult and I think it’s extremely close. Basically I think Brighton and Villa have similar chances of scoring but think Martinez has the chance of getting more save points.

I think I’d play DCL over Soucek or Gündo, but looking solid either way!

It will be a last minute decision once again about Soucek-DCL position. I left the former on my bench in the last two rounds which cost me 24 points waste. Playing him now, maybe he will blank followed by a DCL haul :blink:
