Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW23.

Our score of 65 in GW22 saw us record our first red arrow in seven weeks, despite us beating the average of 57. This is what a failed captain (Salah), a blanking goalkeeper (McCarthy) and failures on the part of Dallas and Targett (one point apiece) brings. Luckily for us everyone else delivered – the mandatory clean sheet for Dias, assists aplenty for Grealish, Gundogan, Bamford and Antonio while Bingo Bruno was the stand out with the full house of goal, assist(s) and clean sheet.

The red arrow takes us back to 967,981 but with 2 free transfers, a wildcard in hand and double game-weeks coming up we’re confident of a strong finish.

Our GW22 Result…

Let’s go see what was decided…

Our GW23 Transfer(s)
With two free transfers we’ve going big on the Burnley backline, buying Pope and Lowton for Forster and the out of favour Chilwell. This is mainly with an eye on their newly announced DGW in which they have fairly favourable fixtures. Both also come straight into our team this week as they welcome Brighton. We have kept McCarthy, not only for comedy value, but also because Saints are likely to have a couple of DGW’s of their own soon.

To confirm then we have SOLD Forster & Chilwell and BOUGHT Pope & Lowton

Captain – Bruno
Our captain is Bruno as we look to him to add to last week’s impressive tally. Our vice-captain is Antonio.

Hello my friends. Exciting times are back.
When are you guys planning to play your Wildcard?

SO I have all the chips available. Idea is to play the WC for 25, BB for 26, TC in 24 or 27 for a city player and FH on the BGW 29(depending on the squad at that time)… Any other strategy anyone can recommend would be highly appreciated.

There are always numerous schools of thought.

Your plan seems fine to me. I’m thinking vaguely along the same lines. I may try to negotiate the BGW without the FH. Cookie above is doing something different. As is Leeboy. I like the cut of Leeboy’s jib. Others who’ve played their chips will be managing matters through transfers. Before the last set of DGW and BGW I was fairly sure I’d be using the FH for the DGW but in the end was happy enough with the side I assembled through traditional means.

In terms of the TC I may hold onto that into the 30s – keep it up my sleeve for a later DGW, should one materialise.

Make or break will be after 24 – to wildcard or not.

      Hi Kushan,

I think it really comes down to your team. I think I have 8 “likely” DGW players for GW26. Before I had looked at that, I had it in my head to WC. My BB is gone so it doesnt make sense to WC now I feel.

      Post your team up

    So…..

for City’s doubles, we know its a Sat/Wed for DGW 24. That doesnt mean there wont be rotation but if they have a double in GW26, when will be second game likely be?

Depends on the TV schedulers really. MNC v WOL in GW26 and MNC v SOT in GW27 could at the moment be played on any of the midweek days.

But, atm all of GW27 and GW28 are scheduled for Saturday and that will definitely change. If WOL, MNC or SOT regular weekend games are chosen for TV on Fri, Sun or Mon, that will limit the available days for the rescheduled games.

No. I just played it safe with Bruno. I hope it works out if you go for it.

Hey guys, just did Forster to Pope move. Still with 1Ft 2.1m itb. Should I leave it at that? Most likely will do Dier to Mee/Digne next week. Just a tad concern bout the bench as I think Dier will be dropped in place of Rodon. , Mitchell not playing and risky Pep rotations. Any thoughts?

Trying this new thing the kids are talking about, something with holding the transfer and such… Not sure I’m capable. But, good to go?
