Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW23.
Our score of 65 in GW22 saw us record our first red arrow in seven weeks, despite us beating the average of 57. This is what a failed captain (Salah), a blanking goalkeeper (McCarthy) and failures on the part of Dallas and Targett (one point apiece) brings. Luckily for us everyone else delivered – the mandatory clean sheet for Dias, assists aplenty for Grealish, Gundogan, Bamford and Antonio while Bingo Bruno was the stand out with the full house of goal, assist(s) and clean sheet.
The red arrow takes us back to 967,981 but with 2 free transfers, a wildcard in hand and double game-weeks coming up we’re confident of a strong finish.

Our GW23 Transfer(s)
With two free transfers we’ve going big on the Burnley backline, buying Pope and Lowton for Forster and the out of favour Chilwell. This is mainly with an eye on their newly announced DGW in which they have fairly favourable fixtures. Both also come straight into our team this week as they welcome Brighton. We have kept McCarthy, not only for comedy value, but also because Saints are likely to have a couple of DGW’s of their own soon.
To confirm then we have SOLD Forster & Chilwell and BOUGHT Pope & Lowton

Our captain is Bruno as we look to him to add to last week’s impressive tally. Our vice-captain is Antonio.

Yeah same could well be alot of points on the bench almost seems mad to bench those 3. Just think Justin and coufal have higher chance of clean sheet

I’m all over the captains shop this season so take mine with a pinch of salt but I’m thinking I may leave it to Monday night and go with Bamford. Last game, I know he plays, can score well, need something to spark etc.
Like I say, I’m having my worse captain run in my life and I’m desperate.

Ivan, don’t think it’s that risky, he will be a popular captain this week, prob alongside Bruno and Son.
Given Pogba prob returns this evening, history tells us that lessens Bruno’s points, while Son is in no form as per his team. But of course he has the fixture.
Antonio has the form and the fixture.

I honestly don’t have a clue what to do with this team?
Wouldn’t want to drop City, Leeds, Soton or Fulham players as confirmed DGW’s coming up.
Wouldn’t want to drop Fernandes or Grealish full stop.
Wouldn’t want to drop West Ham players for their next 2 fixtures, or Villa for their possible DGW’s.
So all im left with is Salah, Maguire and Brewster…
Only got Salah back in last week, and no replacements stand out. Maguire to Burnley defender maybe, but their next fixtures and probable DGW 26 are good. And who in the starting XI do I drop if I upgrade Brewster?
