FF247 FPL Team GW10

Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW10.

Salah was a bit of a dissapointment last week. He couldn’t even contribute 50% of our points total, despite pitching in with a 48’er…

Which, to cut him some slack, is a roundabout way of saying that the rest did ok too. We ended up on 97 which was 41 above the average and we saw a fairly chunky rank jump of about 180k to leave us at 268,292nd overall.

Our new signing Vardy was a disappointment as he limped off early, but elsewhere we saw generous returns, including some goals and the odd assist, from Rudiger (9), TAA (10), ESR (13) and Antonio (7).

Our GW9 Result…

Let’s go see what was decided ahead of GW10…

Our GW10 Transfer(s)
You’d be forgiven for thinking we have a panel full of Jose Mourinhos here such was the desire to dump on poor old Luke Shaw. As the transfer votes rolled in each and every one began with ‘Shaw to…’.

The only difficulty we had was that ‘to’ bit. Basically it came down to either Chilwell or Cancelo and in all honesty it was more or less a draw. That’s if you count the likes of Rosco being so unsure he voted for both! We’ve heard that sitting on fences is a genuine hobby in Newcastle. In the end, Cancelo may have shaded it but, ultimately, it was decided that, given as we already have Rudiger on board, we should share the defensive love and give some to the surprisingly ever present Portugeezer. Cue a 10th game rest tomorrow no doubt…

We are aware that Man United’s fixtures ease up in a few weeks but we aren’t particularly convinced that that will necessarily translate into clean sheets. And our patience is wafer thin.

To confirm then we have SOLD Luke Shaw and BOUGHT João Pedro Cavaco Cancelo

Captain – Salah, obviously
Should Klopp do something silly then Vardy will step in as Vice.

Captain obvious is, well, the obvious choice. But what about the transfers?! A green arrow and the site team are on the right tracks!

    • Nice to see a green arrow!!

  2. Hi Guys, long time since I posted, been really busy and just managed to keep the head about water in FF.

Unfortunately it’s taken a nose dive the last few weeks.

Is it wildcard time? Im also about out of the loop with Football in general atm. Thought i was a bright spark bringing in vardy last week.

    • It is borderline WC that tbf. I think I’d be tempted to.

Vardy was the right move, it was just unfortunate how it panned out.

      • Yep, with alonso, that Watford striker, the Greek Roberto Carlos, pogba and even double Brighton in defence it seems a shambles. Even more so as I type this out…

        Ffs then there Pogba too.

      • +1

        • Any shouts for players? Salah is obviously the main one that’s a must.

        • The two Tony’s up top alongside Jamie. You can get a pretty decent but cheap midfield built around Foden / Mount / ESR / Mbeumo / Raphinha alongside Salah. Keep TAA, add Chelsea and Man City and then check the keepers rotate still or switch to a pair that do. Or just get Ederson.

    • Yeah its WC time foh sure.

    • I’d WC

  3. How many GWs is the Site team looking to keep Raphinha for? I have him as well, but worried about Leeds recent form and his own niggling injuries. Seems MID has lots of value so I am tempted to take a hit to bring in Foden.

    • He’s a bit down the pecking order in terms of the axe. ASM seems to be next and someone looked ruefully at Benrahma too, which may be a bit harsh, but Raphinha wasn’t mentioned. He’s just been blighted with a few misfortunes as of late. I’m sure he’ll be fine if he can get a few games under his belt again.

      • He just needs some Leeds players back fit. Bamford would help in next few weeks. Phillips is back this week I think

        • Yeah Bamford has been sorely missed….just hope he can start and get on the scoresheet this GW. 1G1A will be nice (stuff of dreams, lol)

      • Fingers crossed, need him to bring home a haul for me this GW.

  4. Alright lads I’m wildcarding. To the drawing board!!

  5. Quick Poll as I cant decide…lol

ESR or Mbuemo (who I dont know if will play)

    Yeh or Nah

    • Mbuemo cos if he plays, he’d score cos Leicester can’t keep it tight at the back right now.

    • ESR if you have Toney. Mbeumo if not.

What’s the yeh or nah bit about?! laugh

      • Init – it wasnt till afterwards that i realised I had put yeh or nah…. thats what brain surgery does to you – it makes you write stuff without realising what you have put!!

btw, I dont have Toney, so Mbuemo it is ( if he plays). Will have Allan (EVE) 1st bencher

        • I admire your dedication, doing your team whilst in surgery mosking

        • look – no hands ma….lol

no, ive recently had brain surgery one to me, so what i want to write doesnt always come out that way, if you know what i mean!

        • In that case I hope you are ok and that it went well. I shall bear that in mind in future and learn to read between the lines of your comments!

        • Thanks Init

have brought in mbwuemo, so just hope he plays, as everywhere I looked still said he would be assessed before the game. If not I will have to rely on allan again. .lol

  6. Good score. Last week I got a 102 score.

What to do this gameweek? Two options.

    1. Raphina to Mount for no hit
2 Townsend to Mount and Azpi to Rudiger (to finance the first transfer) for a hit
