FF247 FPL Team GW10
Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW10.
Salah was a bit of a dissapointment last week. He couldn’t even contribute 50% of our points total, despite pitching in with a 48’er…
Which, to cut him some slack, is a roundabout way of saying that the rest did ok too. We ended up on 97 which was 41 above the average and we saw a fairly chunky rank jump of about 180k to leave us at 268,292nd overall.
Our new signing Vardy was a disappointment as he limped off early, but elsewhere we saw generous returns, including some goals and the odd assist, from Rudiger (9), TAA (10), ESR (13) and Antonio (7).
Our GW9 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided ahead of GW10…
Our GW10 Transfer(s)
You’d be forgiven for thinking we have a panel full of Jose Mourinhos here such was the desire to dump on poor old Luke Shaw. As the transfer votes rolled in each and every one began with ‘Shaw to…’.
The only difficulty we had was that ‘to’ bit. Basically it came down to either Chilwell or Cancelo and in all honesty it was more or less a draw. That’s if you count the likes of Rosco being so unsure he voted for both! We’ve heard that sitting on fences is a genuine hobby in Newcastle. In the end, Cancelo may have shaded it but, ultimately, it was decided that, given as we already have Rudiger on board, we should share the defensive love and give some to the surprisingly ever present Portugeezer. Cue a 10th game rest tomorrow no doubt…
We are aware that Man United’s fixtures ease up in a few weeks but we aren’t particularly convinced that that will necessarily translate into clean sheets. And our patience is wafer thin.
To confirm then we have SOLD Luke Shaw and BOUGHT João Pedro Cavaco Cancelo
Captain – Salah, obviously
Should Klopp do something silly then Vardy will step in as Vice.

Annoyingly I was going to look at shipping Alonso this week but my keeper has put way to that plan! Any suggestions for a replacement with 1FT and 1.4 to spend. Does this team need anything else this week?
Nope, looks good. Just a keeper.
Team looks good from where I’m sitting … on my fence!
I have to write something! #clutchingatstraws
It was a fair comment to be honest!!
0 FT, 0.2 ITB. Current plan is to stick as is and if, and that’s a big IF, I am able to do a proactive transfer next week – Benrahma to Mbeumo.
Thoughts?
Sounds good in theory!
Cheers Rosco! Good luck this week!
Sounds like a plan providing your starting eleven all start.
Jamie
Would you start Townsend or Livramento this week?
Saw that and it stuck out as a tough decision. Both have looked great from an attacking POV. Coin toss really.
Townsend for me Special K.
Less stress sweating on a defenders clean sheet than routeing for attacking returns.
Plus a Monday night player gives you something to look forward to.
In saying that I have both on the bench with Townsend first sub.
Jamie
Cheers gents, had Livramento on my bench last week so
How’s this looking? Seems a bit weak maybe? Could be because I lost so much money on players prices?
Looks fine Rol.
I would use the remaining £0.5m to improve one of your three cheap defenders.
Jamie
On reflection, three Brentford players would concern me slightly.
Jamie
I agree, changed it up. Thank you
That’s actually not as bad as it looks!
Ederson is a wise decision on a WC to get into their defence with no headaches. Townsend over Gray if anything.
Few little changes here folks. Think I’ve settled on this one
I like that. I’d play ESR over Henry.
+1 play ESR
If I was on a WC I’d be getting Foden in as a priority transfer.
How come?
I went to see them live against Burnley and he wasn’t too great.
Looks like he’s settled in more now as that false 9 and he’s scoring with it. And assisting. I think it’s 5 returns in 5 and a bit games now. Not saying he’s essential by any means more just giving the reasons why he’s a hot topic.
Phil Foden’s last 11 Premier League starts for City, which straddle this season and last:
Goals: 8
Assists: 7
Double-digit hauls: 4
Blanks: 2
Points per match: 8.82
(Still 6.06 points per match even when we factor in the six one-pointer sub apps over this period
Hi all- Coming to this week after captaining havertz
Seems like Alonso lost his place.. lateral transfer to chillwell or benrahma to son??? Or both for a hit?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks!
As a hit I think I quite like that. But understand why you would just do the one move too
Just Alonso for this week.
Agreed, those moves look fine.
