Welcome to the FF247 Fantasy Football Site Team GW7.
Spawning Glory
A Zinchenko no-show was always on the cards at some point, a Sterling one less so, albeit less excepted. One was plenty enough, but the latter was less welcome, especially considering how many points he may have scored in the annual Watford roasting. Lundstram was our main beneficiary in the above deal as he glefully leapt from the bench, 12 points in hand. Ordinarily we would be more than happy for Mount to climb likewise but this time he simply filled in a two point hole.
Elsewhere our Burnley duo of Pope and Pieters did what they do when at home and combined for 13 between them, McGinn surprised us with a 10 pointer away at Arsenal and Kun somehow disappointed us with an 18 pointer as captain.
Digne, Salah, Cantwell, Barnes and Pukki made up the difference with a grand total of 12 between them.
All this lead to us scoring 67 in total, just 15 above the overall average but it meant yet another green arrow. We have a clean sweep of those now, we’ll be top by Christmas at this rate (and all that)! We gained a fair chunk this week too, 14k places in fact, which sees us in at 42,695th as we speak.
Our GW7 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided this week…
Our GW7 Transfer(s)
Almost stumpted again. Not least because we had 2 FT’s once more and a starting 11 that we were sort of happy with. ‘Sort of’ probably describes where we were though, and as such changes have indeed been made this time.
With the uncertainty over Mendy and the LB spot at City, and Pep’s penchant for rotation in general, we decided to do away with the services of Zinchenko for starters. His replacement was largely dictated to by what other moves we wanted to make and the funds required to do so. In this case we quite fancied having a bit of Tammy given both his form and Chelsea’s fixtures. This meant slim pickings for the Zinchenko replacement and so we have opted to go with Tyrone Mings given that Villa have looked fairly solid at home so far. He won’t get to play (in our team) every week but that’s ok as he rotates decently enough with his new team mates.
To confirm then we have SOLD Zinchenko & Barnes and BOUGHT Mings & Abraham
Captain – Sergio Aguero
He may have disappointed us a bit last week with just the solitary goal out of 8 but having watched the highlights he really could and should have got a hat-trick, at least. His oppo this week is an Everton team struggling with both form and confidence, and so whilst this may not be another 8 goaler we do fancy City to win, and probably handsomely.

TAA, Otamendi, Lundstram, (Pieters, Rico)
Salah, Sterling, KDB, Mount, (Cantwell)
Greenwood, Pukki, Abraham(C)
QUestiuons remains…. are any of thoise worht paying points to get in? No FT but 1.1m ITB
Diop? Pereira? Tomori? Soyuncu? Son? Aguero? Firmino? C.WIlson?…
sorry play greenwood and 1st bench Cantwell?
I’d start Greenwood over Cantwell and pray Cantwell doesn’t score.
As for the FT I’d roll it over for next week when you can decide if you want to ship out anyone else. You’re good to go now
Hey Lazza, that’s a great team for a newbie! There’s no need for you to take a hit this week. I personally think that Pieters has a slightly better chance of returning against Villa than Lundstram has against Liverpool, but that’s just a personal choice. I would agree that Greenwood is slightly preferred over Cantwell this week. Cantwell appears to be scoring all his points at home, and after Ole’s presser I think Greenwood is worth a cheeky punt. Good luck!
And yeah sure captain Abraham, why not?! He appears to be a flat track bully, he’s got a combined total of 4 points against MUN, LEI, LIV, and a combined total of 40 points against NOR, SHU, WOL. I’d suggest BHA fall into the latter group.
Abraham has played Brighton four times, never scored.
Interesting stat. However he is a much more mature and better player now he’s grown up
Another interesting stat Aguero last scored vs Everton in the PL 2013/14 season. Honestly none of the stats for the week are really helping us
Just flip a coin!!! I’ll do it now:
Sterling heads
Salah tails
Tails it is!!!
Never heard the term flat track bully had to google it. Every day is a school day!
I think your first google hit would’ve returned a one Mr. Romelu Lukaku
Will Greenwood play on Monday? Surely he has to given United’s lack of options up front.
If he does, whoever you are replacing him with should be someone who’s most likely to score 2 points
I tried the same for a couple of weeks, replaced him for a cheapie defender who would get me only 1 or 2 points at most for that week. No returns but the risk was lesser. Ended up with 1 point for greenwood than 0 points for Digne or 2 for Dendoncker
Soyuncu or Diop in a WC team?
Soyuncu
am i good to go this week?
Yep good to go. Probably Lundstram over Pieters in sub bench nothing else
cheers doc
Yeah prob good to go. Pulisic really needs to go
cheers smash. that is the plan for next week
I’d be really curious to see how Pulisic does once CHO comes into the starting 11.
Saturday morning price changes!
Risers! Alexander-Arnold (7.2), Pukki (7.2), Tomori (4.6)
Fallers! Townsend (5.7), Sigurdsson (7.6), T.Davies (5.3), Gündogan (5.2), Romero (4.8), A.Sánchez (6.8), Mata (6.3), Lucas Moura (7.2), Skipp (4.4), A.Gray (5.8), Bennett (4.9), Jiménez (7.2), Lennon (4.8), Djenepo (5.3), Ceballos (5.6), Kean (6.6), Camarasa (4.7), Cancelo (5.3), Sarr (6.3)
Jimenez falls ahead of Watford at home, who just lost 8-0. Not sure I’d be selling.
Did Zinchenko to Soy, and James to Mount with 2 FTs.
Shame i couldnt afford both Mount and Otamendi, would have been ideal?
Mings or Kelly in first team? Also, RMT.
Looks good. Strong team
Prob as you are with Kelly first sub
