You may remember the rather tempestuous committee meeting pre GW12 where several transfer ideas were put forward and rejected, some democratically and some Trump-like (cries of ‘STOP THE COUNT’ echoed around FF247 HQ). With the meeting in disarray the decision was made to hold the transfer. And as it turns out it was the correct move as we scored 62pts, above the average of 51 and a well needed green arrow. None of our transfer options would have seen us score any higher.
Our score was indebted to our strikers and defence. Put simply our midfield of KdB, Mahres, JWP and Jota didn’t turn up, Jota literally, so Bissouma came in and fitted in nicely with a 2 pointer.
Captain Kane delivered once again and DCL was unlucky to just produce the solitary assist while clean sheets from McCarthy and Targett were gratefully received but the pièce de résistance was delivered by Vardy in the final act of the game-week as he brought home the bacon with a goal and two assists resulting in a 13pt haul.
Our green arrow has taken us to 1,627,496 place, our best rank since GW5.
With two free transfers in hand and the turnaround between game-weeks immediate, let’s see how acrimonious the committee meeting was this time.

Our GW13 Transfer is to sell Jota and buy Grealish
Well what an anti-climax that was. No arguments, no tea-cup throwing, no intervention from DCL’s Sugar Daddy, the committee were in full agreement that Jota has to go (obviously) with Grealish coming in. With matches vs Burnley, West Brom and Palace coming up the opportunity is there for Grealish to build on his impressive season so far which has seen him score five goals and create six assists, scoring 73 points in 10 game-weeks. With a likely DGW on the horizon we’re excited to own Villa’s finest.
We chose to hold the other transfer anticipating news of double game-weeks to be revealed very soon and two free transfers will maximise planning for that.
To confirm then we have SOLD DIOGO JOTA and BOUGHT JACK GREALISH
Captain – Kevin De Bruyne
Our captain decision was also unanimous with KdB given the armband at home to West Brom. Kane is the vice-captain, should Pep decide De Bruyne needs to rest.

Bruno v De Bruyne discussion. Who would you prefer to have long term? I have Bruno but I feel like KdB is capable of double points on any given GW whereas Bruno is more of a consistent single digit, delivers a goal or assist each week kind of player, sometimes with a haul but more often not. Bruno needs to play every week so can United function whereas Pep can rest Kevin at times.
Does it really come down to risk v reward? I feel like going into this GW without KdB is asking for ranking trouble somewhat.

Start Taylor or Lewis?
I think both don’t get a CS this GW. Just have a gut feeling on Taylor > Lewis (assist potential)
Lewis for me as I think Newcastle will concede less than Burnley and he has better scope for attacking returns
Hello lads. I understand this is forward thinking. But I would like your thoughts regarding my future team.
I’m aiming towards this team in GW 16 when Spurs fixtures get better.
I ask this so early because I need to begin the process of modifying my team right now if I am to arrive at this particular team. (I understand there might be injuries and such, but let’s assume there aren’t any)
Kindly advice if you’d agree with this team come GW 16. Bit light in defence arguably.
This looks like a great, great team. Although here are some points I’d like to point out:
– I believe we should have 15 starting players at least given this season’s anomalies and having to play BB on a 14-player team is a bit on the loss (Referring to Mitchell here)
– Leeds don’t look good defensively, so maybe you could look at Taylor for Dallas (0.1 cheaper now)
– You can also save a tiny bit of cash to upgrade Mitchell by doing Lamptey to Targett (Villa and Burnley rotate really well)
This way you can make 0.3 cash and upgrade Mitchell to a Lewis (New) maybe. Thanks!
Thanks loads Aadrik. Very astute observations which I will try and implement. I do have the option of making the changes u suggested after GW 16 once I arrive at this team as well. Will definitely give it a lotta thought.

Taylor or Targett?

There’s really little between them in price, points and ownership.
If Martinez is (or could be at any point) your goalkeeper I think I would go Taylor.
My keeper is is Mendy so probably won’t get Martinez until my wild card.

I will be. I don’t have Kdb though I guess.
