Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW13
You may remember the rather tempestuous committee meeting pre GW12 where several transfer ideas were put forward and rejected, some democratically and some Trump-like (cries of ‘STOP THE COUNT’ echoed around FF247 HQ). With the meeting in disarray the decision was made to hold the transfer. And as it turns out it was the correct move as we scored 62pts, above the average of 51 and a well needed green arrow. None of our transfer options would have seen us score any higher.

Our score was indebted to our strikers and defence. Put simply our midfield of KdB, Mahres, JWP and Jota didn’t turn up, Jota literally, so Bissouma came in and fitted in nicely with a 2 pointer.

Captain Kane delivered once again and DCL was unlucky to just produce the solitary assist while clean sheets from McCarthy and Targett were gratefully received but the pièce de résistance was delivered by Vardy in the final act of the game-week as he brought home the bacon with a goal and two assists resulting in a 13pt haul.

Our green arrow has taken us to 1,627,496 place, our best rank since GW5.

With two free transfers in hand and the turnaround between game-weeks immediate, let’s see how acrimonious the committee meeting was this time.

Our GW13 Transfer is to sell Jota and buy Grealish

Well what an anti-climax that was. No arguments, no tea-cup throwing, no intervention from DCL’s Sugar Daddy, the committee were in full agreement that Jota has to go (obviously) with Grealish coming in. With matches vs Burnley, West Brom and Palace coming up the opportunity is there for Grealish to build on his impressive season so far which has seen him score five goals and create six assists, scoring 73 points in 10 game-weeks. With a likely DGW on the horizon we’re excited to own Villa’s finest.

We chose to hold the other transfer anticipating news of double game-weeks to be revealed very soon and two free transfers will maximise planning for that.

To confirm then we have SOLD DIOGO JOTA and BOUGHT JACK GREALISH

Captain – Kevin De Bruyne

Our captain decision was also unanimous with KdB given the armband at home to West Brom. Kane is the vice-captain, should Pep decide De Bruyne needs to rest.

  1. Evening folks long time no see, couple years actually haha, can I get some tips on what to do with this team? Have some injuries leaving me with a body or two too light.

    I have my wild card, can use it if recommended but saw some comments about upcoming dgw’s. I haven’t been online much and didn’t get a chance to do much research as busy with work and other stuff. Would appreciate any recommendations

      Hope all is well mate.
      For me Bellerin out has to be the priority. Ideally you want to have 3 defenders this week.

      Maybe Bellerin out for Dias off City?

      • Yep bellerin defo, would you use the wc and do a few other things?

        • Personally I’d want to beef that midfield up a little

        • Any tips gear? Not much I can do with the midfield unless I take a hit or uss wc. I can get grealish in but it still leaves me with a shit defense and a possibility of only 2 playing in defence

    • You need to use WC before GW16 starts (28/12). So you could use it now or wait until the Boxing Day fixtures have been played (injuries are inevitable).

      For this week, I’d sort out Jota or Bellerin to a MCI def or midfielder. Probably Jota to Mahrez (he only played 65 mins vs MNU so should be rested enough for the WBA game).

      Lamptey should be fine.

    I’m looking for your knowledge on transfer recommendations. Any help would be massively appreciated :yes:

    • I really like this team but what I might do is sell Mings to maybe a Southie or Watkins to Adams

    Currently looking to do:
    Salah->Fernandes
    and either:
    Jota->??
    or Kilman-??

    By doing the Salah move I will have 3.2m ITB on top of either the Kilman or Jota money.
    Who is the better to ship out, and for who?

    I will captain either Sterling or Fernandes.

    • You have to sell Jota as it’s looking like he could be out for close to 2 months. Probably to Grealish.

    • Yeah Peptation is a worry for me. Especially with Kun lurking about

      • Grealish is a good shout, has a couple of good fixtures, and will lead me up to when I do my wildcard smile

        Just need to decide my captain – which is 50/50 on both. They will both return I think. Fernandes is probably better, as he takes penalties, but Man Utd are slightly shaky. But Sterling is a peptation risky….lol

        • Capo is all down to gut calling so I won’t meddle in that as I’m going KdB over Bruno but it could easily change

        • That’s fair but who are you looking at as a replacement?

      • Salah makes sense but I do fancy sterling for some reason (gut)

        • I think I need to start listening to my gut more so I’d say go for it
