FF247 FPL Team GW3
Welcome to FF247 FPL Team GW3
¡Arriba, Arriba!
Thank the good lord for Mitrović, for our cheap and nasty striker was our highest scorer this week with his brace at Leeds leading to a dozen very gratefully received points. Aside from him it was our men at the back who kept us afloat with clean sheets from Ryan, TAA and VVD while Taylor chipped in with an assist. Captain Aubameyang contributed a mere assist at home to the Hammers and will be lucky to survive the chop. Midfield maestros Havertz and Saint-Maximin hardly troubled the scorers while Vardy and Wilson weren’t much better. In fact, when Leicester score four and Vardy isn’t involved in one bit of it then you probably know the writing is on the wall for your GW. Our score of 53 was below par and has brought us our first red arrow of the season. It won’t be the last! We go into GW3 with a rank of 2,424,028, but we’re ahead of Kop and Cookie at least. We have much to ponder, as do they!
Our GW3 Result…
Let’s go see what was decided…
Our GW3 Transfer(s)
Gameweeks 1 & 2 have been relatively peaceful and controversy free at FF247 HQ. The ‘virtual WC’ in GW1 was agreed upon surprisingly quickly and the decision to carry a free transfer in GW2 was unanimous. The calm before the inevitable storm perhaps…
We won’t have been alone in the pre-determined decision to transfer out Auba for KdB in GW3. The only variable for many will have been seeing the latter appear fit and healthy in GW2, the fact that he did but also didn’t miss a step and somehow looked even better than ever sealed that particular deal.
And then in stormed a Jimenez lover, and he wasn’t much up for leaving until we all joined in his Mexican orgy…
Poor old Vardy was on the block but he got some love to stay. Timo Werner was mentioned as an alternative, but he was deemed to be too premature, and such was our cactus holders passion and determination to press harder that the rest of the cast were left naked wearing only sombreros and sipping Desperados quicker than they could say… albur.
Something to do with his next three fixtures being West Ham, Fulham and Leeds, apparently. And their propensity to be leaky.
A -4 was considered to bring a certain Colombian newbie to the party but that was shelved until next week. The feeling being that he will climax at home to Brighton as opposed to at the Palace this week. Which would just be rude.
To confirm then we have SOLD Auba & Vardy and BOUGHT KdB & Jimenez
Captain – KdB
The strength in conviction wasn’t so strong when it came to the armband though as KdB romped away with this one, Jimenez coming second.

great team tbf
That’s pretty tidy. I like it. I can’t see anything wrong.
Thanks guys
Solid team ready to go! Good luck
Good evening!
So hear me out. I am on my WC and this was the plan, as I thought Douglas and Werner’s prices would drop but what are plans for if not to be ruined. So now I have multiple scenarios to choose from but not feeling confident in any of them, so help me out, please:
1) James Rodríguez to Zaha
2) DCL to Mitro and upgrade Douglas/Martinez (or both)
3) Werner to Jimenez and upgrade Douglas/Martinez (or both)
4) KDB to Bruno and Podence to Foden
5) Son to Zaha/Greenwood/Foden and upgrade Douglas/Martinez (or both)
6) Something else that I’ve missed.
Sorry for the long post, but I didn’t want to post 2919 questions in the replies :laugh2:
Thanks and cheers :drinks:
Not sure if it helps but I mentally answered NO to all of those.
Well, not really :laugh2:
I don’t have enough money for the team from the screenshot, so I guess I am doomed then :laugh2:
Probably 6, but I think I missed it to. But I think you do need to upgrade Douglas as there may be trouble later otherwise. If you like all the attackers Saiss and Douglas to Lampety and Taylor?
Not a bad shout. However, Saiss is one of the players I really like and would like to keep. In options 2,3,5 Lamptey replaces Douglas, so I do like that move.
Podence to Jorginho or Justin to Vinagre, as it looks like Pereira isn’t far off a return? Wouldn’t want to lose your other players there!
STOP SAYING JORGINHO!
The guy’s name is literally “Vinegar” from
Portuguese. I’ve already had bitter taste from having him in GW1. And Nuno’s lies…
Jorginho could only come handy if he is on penalties, and after the last one, I am not sure he is.
I meant SOUR*
PS: I should stop drinking :slaphead: :laugh2:
Nice moves, site team! Wish I’d just kept it simple and done Auba to KDB at the start of the week, but no I had to try and be clever didnt I?! Did him to Rodriguez instead.
So, with ASM looking like he’s out, I’m thinking of changing him to Jorginho this week. Then, next week it could go two ways. If Werner blanks again, it could be Stephens to KDB and Werner to DCL for a -4 where Jorginho would then be on my bench. OR, if Werner does look like one to keep, I could still do Stephens to KDB, but do TAA to VVD and Mitro to Delap (and switch to 3-5-2 from the current 3-4-3) however it would be a -8.
Current team is below, your thoughts would be much appreciated!
Jorginho? Are you sure? Are you sober? Or sane? We can get you help if you need it, just say.
Can’t think of anything else! Just figured he was among the points in GW1, would have again in GW2 if he’d converted that penalty and will probably be in the starting squad until the other players come back. Open to any suggestions!
I’m sure you can with 4.5m ITB!
Either of those options work out at either £0m or £0.3m in the bank in the end. If they left me with £4.5m, I’d be laughing!
Just re—read your original comment and it seems to include a -8 with Delap?! :close_tema:
Do we think DCL is an absolute must? I’m still tinkering on my WC. I have concerns about his hamstring issues…but could be nothing. Or would it better to get in Ings? This is where I’m at currently.
I could downgrade Martinez to Steele, and then with that I could upgrade DCL to Ings at 8.4 or leave it as is?thanks again
I like that team, I’d keep it as is for this week at least!
Cheers Swirly
Any plans for a Man City player?
Hey Stone Frog I did have a tinker and did Martinez to Steele, DCL to Delap and then Anguissa to Mahrez but not entirely sure.
What do you think of that plan stone frog? How is your team coming along? Any last min tweaks?
Love it Neilos.
Jamie
Thank you Jamie. I’m trying to optimise every player lol. What a headache.
Evening all,
Gotta admit I was hoping there would be some nice wildcard drama from the site team this week  , looks very solid though and should do well
Just putting the finishing touches on my WC team myself. Need help deciding between leaving it as it is (3-5-2) or switch to a 3-4-3 by doing Davis >> Jimenez, Zaha >> Anguissa, and Robertson >> James (would have liked Castagne but 0.1 short due to Werner not going down lol)
What do you guys think? Would Jimenez and James (or any other defender 5.5 or below) get more points over the coming GWs than Zaha and Robertson?
You know what, I’d keep it like that, that looks really nice.
Thanks brother, Jimenez is the only one on my wish list I don’t have, but I guess you can’t have it all
Yes looks fine. I’m also torn by trying to get Werner and Jimenez but think you just have to pick 1.
Thanks mate
Looks good to me Veer!
