Welcome to our mid-month FantasyFootball 247 Leagues round-up.
Most of us initially will have got into fantasy football through work or friends leagues. Nothing wrong with that, but to really challenge yourself, how about you test your mettle against other Fantasy Football 247 regulars?
Season and Monthly League winners will be awarded a place in our Hall Of Fame – more on that to follow!
The Overall Members League (full season)
With a solid 85 points, Barntons Bashers retain their top position in the main league after GW16. Holding a global ranking of 1,473 and with 1,078 points, they are having a great season, and we are glad to have them setting the bar in our league. Herewegoagain are close behind having moved up to second spot with 1,074 points, and only a further 2 points back, third spot is occupied by Shane-PAIN FC on 1,072 points. New entrant, Robin Van Pricey, are straight in at fourth spot with 1,068 pts, having delivered an impressive 97 points this game week – the highest score of this week’s top 10. James101 make up the top 5, with 1,062 points.
A mere 14 points behind are a 3 man chasing pack, containing second season wonder Michu’s Grassy Ass, and two very experienced managers, Powerful Potty Fc and Cookie’s Monsters, all on 1,048 points. Site regular, Milk and Busquets, follows 4 points off, on 1,044 points, with Norfulk-in-chance closing out our top ten on 1,039. Other notable movers this week include the perhaps misnamed duo, Not so SPECIAL ones and Real Morbid, who both managed to score 103 points, almost double the game-week average of 55 points, moving up to 24th and 31st spots respectively. And no, no Potty Prizes will be awarded for guessing who they captained!
The Monthly League
In top spot at the mid-month point is X Treme, on a very impressive 275 points for the month, including 91 for this game-week. The team’s overall ranking isn’t so high as yet, but with this kind of performance and a team value of £110m we feel that’s going to change fast. In second spot, on 268 points for the month are The Untouchables. Falling to third spot, but only 5 points behind, Killer instincts delivered 263 points in December to date. In fourth spot, on 261 points, are our season league leaders, Barntons Bashers, and Real Morbid rise to fifth on 254 points, lifted by their outstanding game-week.
The Greatest FC enter our rankings at 6, narrowly missing out on a ton, scoring 99 points (unlucky!). In 7th spot this month is James101, with Pimp my Side in eighth spot, at 247 points. Closing out our top ten are Inter ma’nan and Monkeys Nuts.
Many thanks to elleffcee for working out the monthly table – you may notice a slight difference in a couple of the rankings, this is because the monthly charts that are automatically generated do not take all hits into account – clearly these should be factored in to show who’s really performing best.

Well done James! Only one thing missing though, MITO!! If you want people to become fixated on your words, just throw in MITO and watch the rave reviews come in.
Well done James. A great new addition, thank you.
If you have to choose, which 2 to start out :
R.morrison
Shelvey
Distin
Dawson
One condition atleast one defender must play.
If Swansea wasn’t playing Everton, I say Shelvey and Distin. You could still play them and hope one delivers, I least. But if you want to go for the most possible points, I say Distin and Ravel and hope Morrison wants to stick it to United.
This.
Thinking of bringing in Silva for a hit…
00.35h overhere…pretty late…please talk me out of it so I can go to sleep :whacky:
Hl – bringing him in for who?
Nasri…
I’d do it.
What’s your thoughts on my post above about Terry or Ozil out for a hit?
HL – Considering their next fixture, and a sideways move,it might not be worth it,say you do it and start at -4,Nasri gets an assist (very possible) so scores 6 points,Silva would have to score 10 points to break even on the four hit..iffy to say the least,i try to think about it this way to stop me from taking a bitch load of hits haha, sometimes frustration gets in the way though. If it was a FT then i don’t think it would be a bad move, but as a hit..high risk move in my opinion.
+1
Not for a hit imo.
Agree, the desire to upgrade is understandable but I don’t think it’s worth a hit, Nasri has played quite well lately so it’s not unlikely for him to get points.
Not for me at this stage…Nasri playing really well. Silva can wait imo…
NIce article James – good to see you could take some time out of your busy points-scoring-schedule…
Need some help lads – that boring old question of Aguero.
Team for this week:
Migs (Marshall)
Terry Coleman Turner (Vlaar Clyne)
Ramsey Nasri Hazard Fer (Bannan)
Suarez(c) Rooney(vc) AGUERO
Thinking Lukaku to get Everton coverage up top. Right move? But Negredo…
Also want to get Wally and Silva in for Ramsey and Nasri…should I do one this week for a -4? I’m worried they’re going to shoot up in price…
Thanks…
Partisan – Apologies,i skipped past your post twice..Looking at your squad, this could be a good time to go with someone like Lukaku,it would free up the funds for the moves you’ve mentioned.. Lukaku is still a solid and consistent striker and you’d be able to beef your midfield,Fer could do well against Sunderland so it would be hard to turn a profit from a hit if he does something..nice squad all the same.
I like all the moves with Lukaku, since you want Silva. Theo is moving way slower in the transfer market than expected, he may only make it once before the deadline.
(Repost – lost in the end of the other post)
SIlva or Wally?
Which one would be better to have until Jan WC? I have Ramsey and Negredo. Silva’s price is rising tonight and I’m considering doing a hit for Amalfitano or Arnautovic.
The only way to get both before Jan would be selling Oscar and I expect him to be back to the team.
Albertini – When Walcott is up to speed he’s an animal in FPL,scores so heavily at times, generally in 3 or 4 game bursts so Theodore for me,Silva is more of a “steady Eddy” type with the odd big score, also great to have but i’d prefer Walcott for sure mate.
Yeah exactly. I believe Wally had the highest PPG average last season, unless Bale nipped him at the end. But I know he did better than RVP in that category. if he is healthy and on the field he is a monster. With Ozil on the team you would think that can only be enhanced.
Mito – It doesn’t surprise me to hear about his PPG,i’d say Bale might be the only one who could challenge him in that regard..
I’d say Silva if you have Ramsey already but not sure its worth a hit.
Wally is my first choice, only the fact that Silva’s price is rising faster is making me having a second thought…
But I can’t have both, not until Jan WC… well, I won’t do the hit tonight, can’t risk any other injury as I already have Clyne and Chiriches doubtful.
Thank you guys.
Albertini – No problem,if you do go for him just be sure to be patient with him,he’s prone to spells of getting 2 or 3 points and not looking all that good, but it’s the way he operates, twice in seasons gone by i got frustrated with him and got rid, only for him to go wild for a few games and score huge!!
