“Looks like nobody confirmed TC”

Welcome to FF247 Site Team News Gameweek 7

As you can see from our header there was a slight mishap last week. We told you all we were TCing the Norwegian robot so when he got his 2 goals, 1 assist, 3 BPS sixteen-pointer, the site team members were happy as larry. However a certain Geordie, who will remain nameless, broke the news that the TC button wasn’t actually active! Oops punish

At least it wasn’t a -48 wildcard that had been forgotten or that we had neglected to buy Haaland so we owned and captained him which lessened the pain!

We finished on 50 points which was just above the average but 32 of those came from our captain. The rest of the team was full of 1’s and 2’s with Cucurella getting 0 and Anderson getting 3 to buck the trends.

This saw a green arrow up to 6,055,864 so still in the doldrums of the FPL world but on the up!

Our Gameweek 6 Result

We have £0.2 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW7. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW7 Transfer(s)

To do nothing! That’s what the decision was this week, it was all very quick and easy. Nothing to really change with 1 ft and no cash so we shall wait it out.

Captain was also quick and easy – if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Haaland gets the armband once more.

To confirm then we have ROLLED THE TRANSFER

Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Looking to make a transfer or 2. Don’t want to go mad because of the international break.

    Who can I ditch?
    Cucu to an Arsenal defender?
One of the goalies out for someone else?
    Wood for someone else?
    Suggestions please

    1 FT and 4.0 ITB
Going to take a hit to sort out the two obvious problems.
Tempted to go further and replace Wood for -8. Should I go for it or leave it for after the IB with a possible WC?

Think I will do Cucu-Timber and bench Williams

    Heyo,

On WC and stuck on who to bring in.

    1. Foden or Doku? (Already got Haaland + Reijnders.)
    2. Stick w/ J. Pedro + Gyokores or go w/ Bowen and/or Woltemade. (I feel Pedro/Chelsea aren’t producing recently esp. w/ Palmer out + not sold on Gyokores at all and already got Saka + Gabriel).
    3. Defense/Gk look ok?

    Potential teams:

    Pope / Dubravka
    Gabriel / Senesi / Guehi / VdV / Alderete
    Saka / Semenyo / Foden / Sarr / Reijnders
    Haaland / Bowen / Woltemade

    or

    Pope / Dubravka
    Gabriel / Senesi / Guehi / VdV / Alderete
    Saka / Semenyo / Doku / Sarr / Reijnders
    Haaland / J. Pedro / Gyokores

    Cheers!

Like Team 1 with Foden Bowen and Woltemade, Woltemade does look good and Newcastle have a nice run, Bowen may be this season’s Chris Wood under Nuno and Foden was the spark for City against Monaco, the problem though with Foden is maybe he supplies to Doku who then supplies to Haaland, that was sometimes the case even with KdB, torn between Doku and Foden, but like the Woltemade and Bowen moves for Joao Pedro / Gyokeres.

Caveat is that if Gyokeres is a flat-track bully, then by definition the next 6-8 matches are essentially where he will be expected to score.

So, maybe split it and move only Joao Pedro for Woltemade

3FT and 0 in the bank. Thinking of getting Saka for Salah and Gabriel for VDV. Thoughts?

      Shrivathsa says:

Salah has a decent record vs Chelsea, 5 goals and 4 assists in 15 games, so, might be a tad risky to drop him for Saka, can see the attraction of Gabriel for VdV though, so, maybe it will balance out, but then West Ham do have a good record in recent years at the Emirates stadium, so maybe hold fire for a week

      Gavy says:

I’d definitely want someone from Arsenal, I think westham will set up to defend, so could be low scoring.

Where Salah has looked good vs Chelsea in the past he’s been out of form the last few weeks.

I’d think your moves are worth the risk.
