Baby Steps
Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW11.
We had a small success this week with a tiny green arrow that sees us now sitting at 5,571,344.
Our score of 68 points was just above the 65 weekly average.
The best performer was once again Haaland with a 26 point captain return. Munoz and Cucurella got 6 and 7 points respectively. Ndiaye scored a brilliant goal to get 9 points before hoing off injured.
Hopeuflly he will be fine for this weekend.
Our Gameweek 10 Result

We have 0.0 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW11. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW11 Transfer(s)
We have really been punished week in and week out due to not having any Arsenal cover, particularly no defensive cover. Our priority this week was to fix that and a hit was necessary for that to happen.
Therefore we looked at selling our underperforming Spurs duo, Kudus and Pedro Porro. We decided that we wanted the cheat code that is Gabriel so then it was a matter of who could we afford.
With only 5.5 for a mid, there weren’t many options. We decided to save a bit of change by buying Xhaka at Sunderland. He can sit on our bench most weeks but is ticking along with points.
As for Captain it was pretty easy, why fix what isn’t broken. Haaland is scoring every week so lets just leave it on him.
To confirm then we have SOLD Kudus and Pedro Porro and BOUGHT Xhaka and Gabriel
Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Is it wise to play Konsa instead of VDV or just leave it?

Terminators
That is really tough, I would think VDV has the best chance of defensive bonus points.
IvanTheTerrible
That’s true, he might even scrape a goal in a 3-1 win for Man U
Jamie Mc
Do you think Man Utd will score?
I don’t like when a defender (Konsa) is up against a midfielder (Semenyo).
Jamie
Terminators
I don’t think Villa or Spurs will keep a clean sheet to be honest, but VDV is more likely to get defensive points and he gets a bit more forward than Konsa.
bees393
Leave as is.
It’s seriously overdue to get some ARS dense Ivan, unless you are into Hara-kiri

Defense

I just feel that if you don’t have double Arsenal DEF already it is risky to do it now.
Terminators
I had 1FT and did King > Sarr
I have £900k ITB and will be wanting to do Mbeumo > Bruno for AFCON.
I don’t like having Woltemade on the bench though.

Tough call Terminators.
Your midfielders all look good.
Don’t worry about AFCON, the game is giving all managers five free transfers closer to the time.
Jamie

When will this happen again Jamie – just so we know to make sure we use all our transfers by then.
Jamie Mc
Following the Gameweek 15 Deadline on Sat 6 Dec 13:30 and ahead of Gameweek 16 on Sat 13 Dec 13:30, Managers will be topped up to the maximum of 5 free transfers, regardless of how many transfers are available to them at that point.
These Free Transfers are provided to help Managers navigate through the tournament period and to be used to sell and buy back any potentially absent players. However, they can be used on any player, not just those absent due to AFCON.
They do not need to be used in Gameweek 16, they can be carried over between Gameweeks and used at any time.

Thanks mate.
Need to warn a certain few in my ML about this
Terminators
GW16 is only four GW’s away really and that date is the minimum amount of time, players must be released fourteen days minimum before the tournament starts, so some could go before then possibly, and I don’t want any by then, I only have Mbeumo and that is a easy switch to Bruno.
Reg83
Just noticed some interesting things. Semenyo plays for Ghana so i thought will have to sell him but Ghana incredibly didn’t qualify for Africa Cup of Nations! But they did qualify for 2026 World cup! Should surely be much harder to qualify for wc than Africa Cup.
Reg83
I have no other African players.. so this is basically a bonus wildcard for me.

I’m planning a free hit GW 13. Using all my trades 14 or 15 and getting the 5 trade top up 16
bees393
Saka to Rice is definitely looming as an option.
AJW
I have both of them Bees, with Gabriel as my 3rd Arse(nal player!).
We’ll see if his body holds up, but could be a sell at some stage after the IB, if Palmer or Salah kick off (although Mo’s time is counted with AFCON – so might just get him in on a FH in GW 14 or 16).
Good luck with it! 😉
bundeena bunnies
Saka has been unlucky and very close. It won’t be far away he starts scoring. Hopefully not against Sunderland
bundeena bunnies
Haaland against Liverpool doesn’t feel like an obvious Captain choice
Thinking of going against him.
Saka (A) vs Sunderland
Enzo (H) vs Wolves
Bowen (H) vs Burnley
Currently it’s on Bowen.any thoughts?
AJW
Sounds like a very solid choice mate. Although the idea that Haaland is scoring at will, added to the fact that he’s so highly owned, have got me with the armband on the Norwegian. But I agree that Bowen could conceivably go ballistic against Burnley!
Hope all’s well downunder!
bundeena bunnies
All is good down under. Big Ashes summer ahead. Might be a close series
Kop Warrior
England’s best chance of a series win down under for some time.
bundeena bunnies
I think so Klop. Has been a bit of the ‘changing of the old guard’ for the Aussies. None of our old batsmen are in form, but the selectors unlikely to risk many new faces.
I can’t wait to see Brookes bat
Kop Warrior
Unfortunately, it feels pretty obvious to me!!
Reg83
Probably bowen of these 3. But there is no real standout alternative tp Haaland. But if u want to take a gamble, this is the time. Gabriel also a c choice if u have him.
Reg83
Come to think of it, getting bit bored c Haaland. I might c Bowen this week..
bundeena bunnies
I can’t see Haaland going crazy, can’t see him hurting anyone going against him.

Last minute I put the stupid C on Haaland
VanDan
“Last minute I put the stupid C on Haaland” Same, had it on Saka all week.. btw I’m a *few hours up the coast from you
