Baby Steps

Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW11.

We had a small success this week with a tiny green arrow that sees us now sitting at 5,571,344.

Our score of 68 points was just above the 65 weekly average.

The best performer was once again Haaland with a 26 point captain return. Munoz and Cucurella got 6 and 7 points respectively. Ndiaye scored a brilliant goal to get 9 points before hoing off injured.

Hopeuflly he will be fine for this weekend.

Our Gameweek 10 Result

We have 0.0 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW11. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW11 Transfer(s)

We have really been punished week in and week out due to not having any Arsenal cover, particularly no defensive cover. Our priority this week was to fix that and a hit was necessary for that to happen.

Therefore we looked at selling our underperforming Spurs duo, Kudus and Pedro Porro. We decided that we wanted the cheat code that is Gabriel so then it was a matter of who could we afford.

With only 5.5 for a mid, there weren’t many options. We decided to save a bit of change by buying Xhaka at Sunderland. He can sit on our bench most weeks but is ticking along with points.

As for Captain it was pretty easy, why fix what isn’t broken. Haaland is scoring every week so lets just leave it on him.

To confirm then we have SOLD Kudus and Pedro Porro and BOUGHT Xhaka and Gabriel

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Do I ditch Kudus for someone else, keep or swap for someone on the bench?
Am thinking, because of the international break, roll the transfer just in case of injuries.
    Advice please.

    • Play Chalobah

      • I agree.

      • +1

        • Over Reijnders.

I don’t like when a defender plays against a midfielder.

          Konsa over Spurs defender???

          Jamie

        • Jamie, do you think I should play Kinda instead of vdv?

        • HF,

Do you think Man Utd will score???

If you do then play Konsa over VDV.

          Jamie

        • Obviously I meant Konsa not Kinda lol

In all honesty, Man Utd and Bournemouth will both probably score so I don’t think it will matter too much who I choose. I will get it wrong either way.

Plus either Reijnders won’t play and Konsa and vdv will get me points, of he will get me a one pointer

    • Roll is the obvious choice.

      • I agree, but! are you wanting to keep Kudos long-term?
You could bring in Semenyo for Kudos or Reijnders.

        • No I will be ditching but reassessing after the international break

        • Then may as well drop now.

Also VDV is more likely to get defencive bonus points than Konsa imo, but I don’t think either Villa or Spurs will keep a clean sheet.

  2. Hey guys, Best move for my team?

    1. Gyok to Thiago / Woltemade / Bowen
    2. Above + Esteve to Timber (-4)
    3. Free hit

    • Thiago then use the cash to upgrade Kudus / Gakpo

    • Get the Toons big german in. Apart from Citeh they have some nice fixtures coming up.

    • I would do Kudos > Mbeumo or Bruno, maybe the latter due to AFCON (I have Mbeumo but will swap to Bruno soon) then Gyok to whoever you can afford, maybe go cheap and then upgrade King and play just two FWD’s.

    • I have transferred out Gyokeres for Ekitike (not for City fixture but for Liverpool good fixtures after City.

      Jamie

      • I am thinking about Ekitike or more likely Gakpo for the coming weeks.

    • Thanks for all suggestions but it’s still a dilemma no

  3. Roll old mate, and play Chalobah! Trevoh might even get an attacking return, who knows?
    Hope you’re well.
Cheers for the weekend ! 😉

    • Reply to Hammer Fan. Dunno what’s going on ! 😉

      • Hey AJW. Hope you are well mate.

Is it worth putting Chalobah 1st bencher just in case Kudus doesn’t play, or do the swap?

I’ve seen some reports saying he may play, and obviously some saying he might not.

        • Yeah I guess that’s the right move HF. I was influenced by the shade of yellow on his profile. Don’t really know – so yeah, just Chalo as first on bench!

Am well, but as busy as… 😉
          Cheerio!

  4. What to do with this lot?

    A. Reindeer>Rice, Woltemade>Kroupi, Chalobah>Gabriel (-4)
    B. Reindeer>Xhaka, Enzo>Rice
    C. Enzo>Xhaka, VDV>Gabriel
    D. Roll the FT

    • Lastly….

      E. Reindeer>Casemiro

      • Rice is becoming a must but I wouldn’t be ditching and Chelsea players this week. None of your options include Salah>…….

    • Reindeer > Rice no brainer imo
I really am not sure about double DEF Arsenal, I thought about it as I had Timber and Rice, but I went with Saka over Gabriel.

      • What’s not to be sure of?! dash

        • The only way it works really is if they keep a clean sheet, if you and I had double Arsenal DEF for the last few weeks it would be cool, how long before they concede is what makes me unsure.

I just don’t like having DEF and a GK from the same team.

        • They’ve kept 8 consecutive clean sheets across all comps. Sure, they’ll concede at some point but they’ll keep many more clean sheets.

    • You must be one of the few managers still with Salah (Liverpool fixtures massively improve after City).

      Roll transfer

      Jamie

  5. Ff247 site team just jinxed Arsenal players. Sell all now. rofl

  6. Really struggling to choose who to bench. Any suggestions? Or is it BB time?

    • I think you have it right, I have Woltemade on the bench, my team is comment 8.

    • Play Woltemade over Thaigo.

      Jamie
