When will the points come in?
Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW12
Our Gameweek 11 Result
It’s fair to say that GW11 is one we’re happy to forget. Unfortunately, with the international break, we’ve had to look at our pitiful performance for almost 2 weeks.
Things couldn’t have gone much worse really. With all but 3 of our players registering no more than 2pts each, it was always going to be an uphill struggle.
Ait-Nouri (6pts) and Mbeumo (5pts) did their upmost to keep us afloat, but with captain Haaland managing just 10pts whilst many captained a certain Egyptian, they were fighting a losing battle. Not only did we not captain Salah for what would have been 28pts, we don’t even own him. The pain.
Some weeks you can get away with not owning the most popular captain pick. This week was not one of them.
35pts is what we ended up with, 14pts below the average (49pts) and a massive red arrow that see’s our rank fall from 2,898,342 to 3,808,254. Ouch!
Our GW12 Transfer(s)
We have £0.4 in the bank and 2 free transfer to use ahead of GW12. Let’s go see what was decided….
If you ignore our midfield (which is lit up like a Christmas tree), our team looks ok. That said, it looked ok last week and look how that went.
We voted on whether we should play our Wildcard, the temptation is certainly there. However, we’ve decided to hold it a little longer.
With that we put it to the vote and decided to get Bruno Fernandes in, hoping for some of that new manager bounce that always seems popular. Fernandes is certainly popular himself this week, over 430k transfers in, the highest in the game just ahead of a certain Egyptian. 17pts in GW11 was always going to make him a popular pick, throw in a home game away to Ipswich and you can understand the clamour. So, Johnson makes way, however, we still needed £1.3m to fund the move.
Gvardiol was a difficult sell, he’s performed well, and we may live to regret the move but with our Wildcard as our safety net we’re not overly concerned.
We then voted on his replacement with £4.8m our budget.
We were all set to go with Kerkez (£4.4) with favourable fixtures for the Cherries through to GW21, only to find out that he may be injured. Bugger! Lewis Hall was next in line, he seems to have locked down his spot in the Magpies defence, having started the last 6. Decent fixtures for Newcastle have clearly caught the attention of FPL managers with the former Blues defender the 4th most transferred-in defender this game week. However, just as we were about to confirm the Magpie, back came that Cherry with news that Kerkez was fit. We reverted back to the original plan because you should always go with your initial instinct!
To confirm then we have SOLD Gvardiol and Johnson and BOUGHT Kerkez and Bruno
Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS
Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE
