Our Gameweek 12 Result
Probably fair to say that that was a bit of an odd week all round. And that was almost certainly reflected in our own score, or rather the scorers. Whilst our front 3 of Haaland (C), Woltemade and Mateta, along with the likes of Saka, did bugger all, our points all came from Munoz and Enzo with a goal apiece and Cucurella with a cleanie.
Also fair to say that we had a bit of a mare with our bench, which garnered 20 points, our highest of the season so far.
Overall we got 52 points, 13 above the average and even that was enough to bump us up a million spots to somewhere around 4.4m. Still shockingly bad but we are aiming to deploy some chips in the coming weeks in order to bounce back a bit, starting this week.
We have 1.6m in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW13. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW13 Transfer(s)
The main talk really this week was regarding the use of chips, bearing in mind that we have 7 weeks left to use the first ones, and 4 of the buggers still in the bank. It was decided that the first deployment would be the TC one on Haaland this week, fresh from a bit of a midweek rest and up against Leeds at home. After losing two on the bounce. Pep will be angry.
The transfer then was secondary really, especially as we are now looking at a WC next week. But with Thiago seemingly becoming so consistent and Burnley coming to town he seemed like the obvious move. Who to ditch though? Well, our resident Geordie simply said ‘Ze German’, so that was enough to convince us. He watches them and we trust his judgement. Unless of course he’s just been battered around the head by the friendly Marseilles police.
To confirm then we have SOLD Woltemade and BOUGHT Thiago

Yeah, Brighton crossed my mind but it is difficult to get the right one as every week there is a different scorer.

My team is below.
I’m taking a punt on Watkins, if he doesn’t score against Wolves he’s never going to score again this season.
Cash is the best Villa defender, I don’t like having a defender and keeper from the same team, I cannot see Wolves scoring though and I have Watkins as my third, the other two are the same as yours.
Cherki seems a bit more in form and has better stats than Doku, the same for Schade over Dango.
I am going for more attacking, goals and assists.

You should be able to, just change the bench players, I would keep VDV just in case one of the eleven doesn’t start.

Best FH team I have seen so far. Can you get Doku instead of Cherki?

Cherki seems a bit more in form and has better stats than Doku imo.

Wonder if it’s wiser to go triple Villa defence instead of Rogers or Watkins. Wolves have scored a single goal in all their away games this seson. Or, maybe they will just score another just to ruin everyone’s party
