Not the best week ever, it’s fair to say. Hardly the best season ever either. So at least we are being consistent! It was 47 points, 2 below the average, but we got away with a rank drop of just 170k. But hey, it’s a lot more congested in that 3m odd mark. Small mercies…

With the luxury of 5 FT’s afforded to us we have changed our plans on the chip strategy a bit. For the record that now looks like; Free Hit GW17, Wildcard GW18 and Bench Boost GW19. Maybe…
As for this week we had Sels, Munoz and Mateta all injured so replacing those became the priority.
Raya was an obvious way back into the Arsenal defence, negating their other injury woes back there. Anderson has some decent fixtures and is cheap. Ekitike is the punt here but again he has good fixtures, should see more game-time now that Salah has spat his dummy out, and has arguably been Liverpool’s 2nd best player all season anyway. And no Mo, you weren’t 1st.
To confirm then we have SOLD Sels, Munoz and Mateta and BOUGHT Raya, Anderson and Ekitike
Captain – Saka
A bit of a departure from the norm that is Haaland, but with him away at a potentially more tricky Palace and with Saka at home to Wolves then he edges it. Well, it was 3-0 in votes anyway, so edging it may be exaggerating matters.

Your team doesn’t look that bad, Mateta has been poor though and Semenyo has gone off the boil but has Burnley next GW.
Bruno.G or Foden but honestly I am not sure who I would drop to being either of them in, I think it is Mateta that needs to go but idk who for Woltemade just isn’t doing enough and I don’t want to tell you to bring him in when I am planning to drop him for Bowen in two GW’s.
Many are going for Ekitiké so maybe Mateta to Ekitiké, if you want to do this then you need to do it now because Matete is dropping in price and Ekitiké is rising tonight.
You cannot use your BB really with your benches fixtures.
What do you mean you have been struggling this season, holding onto Marteta and Semenyo for too long maybe, but many have held hoping they will get back into form, how many points do you have?

Cheers fella and struggling being sat on 815 points well over 100pts behind in all my ML think the importance of defenders this season has thrown me off whilst holding onto people for too long and bringing in the wrong players at the wrong time

I think the defensive points have caught a lot of people out, before it’s all been about assists and goal points, also longterm players have been transfer-shy even though this season they can be stacked and kept up to five.
I have always played the attacking formation, 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 but I have always been pro-transfers even if it means a -4pt to beat a price-rise, and the way the prices rise due to all these players in cash leagues where they just want the most points in a GW irrespective of minus points, many are getting caught out, I have really cut down my transfers down this season as I used to go crazy! but not being afraid to make moves I have been able to pivot to getting a good three/four in defence.
I am on 862 points and this is my transfer stats, and I would think many here would consider it a high amount!

I would look at a 3-5-2 set up. Mateta out and Foden in

Your team looks really solid. How about Minteh>Rice and upgrade Rodon for the BB?

Just used up my last 2FT’s taking out Cash for Estève (who I just got in) to allow Waltermade to Ekitiké!

I’m not sure which defenders to start this week. I have no Arsenal defenders (I do have the exact cash to go Virgil to Timber)
As a Sunderland supporter I’m hoping for a 1-0 win against Newcastle
