Can we get a do-over?
Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW2
Well, the season starts here… or next week… or whenever we get above the average score! We didn’t get off to the best start in gameweek 1 as we scored 9 points below the average score getting 48 points. It could have been worse atleast we did have some players who returned just not more than the ones we didn’t own.
No Saka, Havertz or Salah in our team so that was a bit of a spanking alright. The brilliance of the Premier League referee was on full show to chalk out a wonder goal by Eze who also had an assist ruled out for offside (correctly). Gordon and our captain, Isak, were both screwed over by the theatrics of Brereton Diaz. The man doesn’t know if he’s English or Chilean but he knows how to play dead as Schar get a bit too close. I’m sure he just wanted to give Brereton a welcome back kiss!
Isak did get an assist at least for 10 pts, Haaland got 7 pts, matched by Gvardiol but our standout performer of the week was Diogo Jota who got 8 points.
Thankfully there is no colour on the arrows this week so we start GW2 in the doldrums of FPL sitting at 6,519,651 but we will only go up!
Our Gameweek 2 Result
We have 0.0 in the bank and 1 free transfer to use ahead of GW2. Let’s go see what was decided….
Our GW2 Transfer(s)
The team picked itself this week and nothing was really needed. Barco appears to be off to Spain so he sits 3rd on the bench, Bergvall is not a starter so joins him easily. The only decision we really had to make was Mykolenko or Konsa to start. Not really inspiring choices but Everton are Everton and thus Konsa got the nod.
News seems to have come out that Solanke may be injured but he isn’t yellow flagged and nothing concrete yet. We will leave him in the side and if he does miss out Mykolenko will play. Any late transfers done by the Site Team will be put into the comments.
* We have decided to sell Solanke to Muniz
Captaincy was another non-discussion, Haaland is playing Ipswich at home – ’nuff said! We did have a little vote on whether to play our Triple Captain Chip or not and we decided to just go all out and play that chip!
To confirm then we have SAVED THE FREE TRANSFER and PLAYED OUR TC CHIP
Captain – Haaland

PREDICTED LINE-UPS
Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Both leagues will be shut to new entrants as of 01/01/25.
Should I sit tight and use 2 FT next week to sort out the bench? I should have a full 11 if Nkunku plays. The other option of Solanke > Muniz seems pointless if I then bench ESR.

You have cover for Solanke so you’re fine just to bench him in my view SAF.
Yeah that team looks sweet enough as it is.
Good luck wi’ it!
+1
Is anyone considering Zirkzee as a replacement for Solanke at all?
I did for a millisecond but since he came off the bench last week I wasn’t sure enough that he’s start to do it.
He’s new in and faces four away games in 6 with Liverpool and Spurs the home ones …. not an easy ride is it?
Perhaps! But he did only play half an hour and still managed a goal on his debut! Didn’t it take Hojland weeks and weeks to score?
Nah…not for me mate.
Don’t have Solanke, but would be tempted to , plus he might start this week and the bandwagon would start
Would you play Konsa or Mykolenko?
Konsa
Thanks GP.

Bloody Solanke! So much for banking all these transfers!!
It’s between Muniz & Wood for me.
By 5pm this evening he’ll have missed more minutes through injury with Spurs this season than he had with Bournemouth THE WHOLE of last season.
As some might say, that’s a bit Spursy!
I’ve been down the Wood road before Kop, You will end up hating him after 3 blanks, Muniz looks quite spritley, I think Fulham will be hard to beat at home this season, just my thoughts, no stats involved
Stats are overrated
I see a lot of people TC Haaland this gameweek. I get that there won’t be as many double gameweeks this season but there will be a couple right?
I’m considering it this week too but wondered what others opinions were for holding it for a dgw?
I’m playing TC on Haaland, as I will probably want to use BB and WC (and maybe mystery chip) for the limited DGW opportunities later on.
