Welcome to FF247 Site Team GW22

Just when we thought things were looking up, we once more find ourselves on the wrong side of lady luck.

We rolled our transfer and it looked like the smart decision, our 39pts (9 below average) tell a different story.

Last week we were the beneficiaries of Thiaw’s 17pts, this week it felt a little moot as he duly delivered us a -1. Ouch. Keane was looking like he was on for another bumper score; an early goal got us all excited the red card that later followed not so much. Still those 5pts look colossal next to his black and white compatriot.

Not a lot else to write home about. Dorgu picked up and assist for 5pts, Gabriel a rare clean sheet sans bonus points for 6pts and the same situation for captain Haaland.

Our other 6 plyers blanked. 4/11 returns is always going to make a green arrow a big ask. The red one that came instead drops us from 2,394,353 to 2,938,333.

Onwards and upwards, just not this week.

We have £1m in the bank and 3 free transfer to use ahead of GW22. Let’s go see what was decided….

Our GW22 Transfer(s)

We’ve decided to shake things up a little. With 3 FT we had plenty of flex but ultimately decided to use 2 and keep 1 back for a rainy day. Of which we seem to be having plenty of this season.

They say form over fixtures is king, but a lot of the time the two go hand in hand. With that we looked at the ticker and decided Chelsea’s upcoming run is too good to ignore, throw in some new manager bounce (hopefully) and we’re going all in on the Blues.

We feel far too invested in Man Utd (what were we thinking?) and so we’re kicking both Yoro and Cunha to the curb. Rice and James join our team after a very straightforward voting process.

We could have torn up our team to fit in Palmer, but to be honest we’re just not seeing great value in him at present. I guess you could argue we’re being a little risky going James over someone like Chalobah, but the upside is there and he seems to be finally stringing appearances together (we know how this one ends).

Moving forward, we’ll likely try and build up a few transfers with one eye on the fixture swings that will lead us into potential blanks and doubles.

To confirm then we have SOLD Cunha and Yora and BOUGHT Rice and James

PREDICTED LINE-UPS

Back by popular demand! Well, sort of… Drafthound have changed their line-up approach this season and what it means for us is that we are no longer able to display a live feed of it on here due to some technical difficulties. That said, what they have done looks great and is still only a click away so if you want to access those they are HERE

Another red arrow but we have 3 free transfers… what did we do!?

    • Rice makes a lot of sense, Reece James? Not so much. Rotation risk and injury risk. I would go for safer options personally. But good luck. 😉
